once you pass through the main doors and are in that top chamber with the shaft in the middle of the floor, there's a pair of doors on both the left and right sides and if you look past the top they lead to other chambers similar to the one you're in, both with shafts down the middle but you can't get through the doors

there's a bunch of places, I think I found gold for the first time in the walls of one of the glacial areas in the Shallow Twisty Bridges but you can get gold from Calverite outcroppings and silver from Argenite (I think that's how you spell it lol) oucroppings, both which can be found in the Thermal Spires as well as several other biomes

One good option is to bring the PRAWN Suit. It makes things a lot safer. Alternatively, you could get the Ice Worm Reduction Module for the Snowfox.

As long as you have the regular fins, dive suit, a charged seaglide, and quick fingers you can get it done. Just try to stay above it and unlike Subnautica you don't have to aim for the head
A rebreather helps and a booster tank just further decreases your chance at death

Of course you know you can't pickup waterproof lockers when occupied, but they hold 4x4 items and they only take up 2x2 in inventory. The propulsion cannon can pick them up and suck them into your inventory. This means one locker can have compacted lockers in it. Infinitely dense storage

There's two vent gardens, one North and one south. Both in the same area. If you're at the south one go north west. If you're at the north one go south west.
And to kill one you need to prawn grapple it in the face and get to drilling

Most likely North. I'd travel south west. It raises up gradually with enough mini trenches to cover you till you can escape the biome. Alternatively you could grapple a cheli and let it drag you up enough to give yourself a boost
