there's so many like that it's ridiculous

and sometimes there's a circle from the scanner room but nothing there

well, they are randomly generated on the surface of things. Some surfaces are below another

scanner finds the underground ones

like, you'd think it would be easy to quickly get a lot of lead with this many on the scanner room but it takes annoyingly long because almost half of them either aren't there or are un-obtainable because of bad placement

not to mention finding outcroppings in the Lilypad Islands is kind of annoying because you have to look under and inside the islands instead of just on top of a surface

You can find Diamond in all of these places. I recommend going to the Deep Twisty Bridges, though. Deep Twisty is 250 - 380 meters deep.

It is not there is a cave shaped like a sideways kidney and there should be a trail of oxygen plant (usually a hint that there is some story item is there) light sticks and sea monkey nests with ultra o2 tank and variety of sea truck modules and grappling arm
