The thermal spires surround the island. Their main spawn location is the front of the island. There is a spot at the rear edge of the thermal spires where they don't spawn at all (my fav place to build base #1 on the edge of twisty bridges there)

IMO the bio reactor is fine to start you off...but nuclear is end game... It saves you the hassle of constantly having to feed the bio reactor.

I know they've said "no multiplayer"... But it would be nice with a 2-4 person coop mode.

The worm is literally rubber-banded to the player. There is no escaping it, there is no killing it, there is only dealing with it for as long as you have to.

that makes the game so much less overwhelming which is what made the first game so good to me just the constant stress from being followed and the deeper I went the harder it was to see or fight things off

after playing subnautica you already know like at least 50% of what Subzero will offer you you are way more prepared to get jumpscared by big leviathan and such it make it less impressive imo

I was still scared of the leviathans in Subnautica but I still wasn't scared of BZ leviathans after the first couple times

grab a leviathan with the prawn grapple arm in the right place and you can punch it to death with little to no damage to yourself

there is a limited number of ion cubes in bz but there's enough to make batteries for tools and power cells for vehicles and still have plenty spare
