Make sure you have the HUD chip upgrade for the scan room. That way when you get outside swimming, or riding in the seamoth looking for the pings with your compass you’ll know which direction you’re heading

Most resources can be found in multiple biomes, it’s easier to find things overall once you figure out their location once imo versus finding stuff in the original
Is there something in particular you are looking for that I can help locate for you (in general of course)

As for building the HUD chip you need magnetite for that, which you will likely find that first in the deep lilypads area (aka cotton anemones biome)

Rubies and gel sacks can both be found in the lilypad caves. If you’ve been to delta and have the “pilots last known position” marker that helps lead you to the right place

When you go to delta, after you explore the habitats up top, there’s a somewhat hidden set of stairs leading down behind one of the habitats. Go down and it leads to a set of caves FULL of those deposits that give gold

Also that area of thermal spires around delta has the deposits that yield gold as well
