I only recently learned that when you die you actually drop your items cause in Subnautica you just used to lose your items but in BZ you actually drop your items so you can go back and pick them up again. I don't really die in BZ so I wasn't aware that it was a mechanic in BZ. but the beacon thing is genius

Yeah you could but a lot of the time if you died in open water stuff would float down from the surface and it would also fall down at different rates depending on the material (copper and other metals would fall faster than say quartz or titanium)

yea same. honestly I'm actually kinda mad about that. why was it in the trailer?? I remembered for the first release right after you could buy the dlc that there was a placeholder skeleton used to take a kharaa sample but I didn't think it was in the game cause of new story and I had honestly forgotten about it. but then they showed the frozen leviathan in the trailer. I watched the trailer before playing. I thought it would get me hyped and it did but it also spoiled one of the coolest moments in the game. really sad

Yea they’re a cool concept but I definitely think they over did it. Like you had some similar creatures in Subnautica but they just made you go towards them and damaged you when you got close enough and swam away. These gives you trippy colors and stuff a while after and they can be hard to avoid

whats good everyone, ive got a problem and need some help. ive put in about 60 hrs on below zero and never had problems with the game and over the past few weeks ive been experiencing random crashes and sections of map where i fall through the terrain into the water. it wasnt a big issue but im now at the point where it crashes seconds after loading into the game and it happens everytime now without fail.

hearing would just be a way of sending vibrations so if the vibrations are on the right frequency they might be able to pass through water and even solid objects. but yea it seems unlikely to be able to detect something that far below

bruh. I hate the ice worm in EA8.1. I'm currently in the ice worm area and I'm in my prawn suit. an ice worm just came out of the ground a few meters away from me. it only came up, roared and went back down. it didn't attack me or anything. at yet it still damaged me 3 times

also there doesn't even seem to be any way to avoid the ice worm. I can sometimes hear it under ground but standing around and waiting for it doesn't change anything. it seems to stay right below you and wait for you to move. no matter how long you wait

bro what the hell. I placed down a thumper and it seems that every time the ice worm attacks the thumper it also damages me. that makes literally no sense. I'm miles away and still taking damage lol
