But still, full-charged five batteries for this sounds like a lot to me. I recommend you to NOT swim long distances with the ressource scanner in your hand, instead, you should just swim with the seaglide and stop every now and again to scan for resources. That's much faster and more efficient. Because the scanner in your hand slows you down massively, wasting a lot of time. And during this time, it consumes power.

I mean, I was walking around with the prawn suit in the biome where ice worms live, and the worst hit I got gave 25% damage to the prawn suit. Back then in EA, I walked around there without a vehicle and I almost needed more medkits than food

Seamonkies actually give you stuff if you have a good diplomatic relationship to that species which can be achieved by letting a seamonkey take one of your tools and then take it back again. They will then start to give you ressources instead of stealing your tools

You didn’t try to drive them into each other did you? There’s a handle bar on the modules you use to move them into position (manually) to attach them to the cabin. If you knock modules with the cabin it’s very easy to explode them if you hit them accidentally, I don’t recommend trying to drive them to connect
