Materials for what?
the problem is finding the blueprint, not the parts
Well, that was EASY! For literally the entire fight, he got stuck in the pit surrounding a thermal vent and i could just pound his skull out! He didn't even able to land a hit on me!
Well, i forgot there are two... 😬
two? lol.
You aren't meant to kill them
But you can
you can also eat ants
Just finished below zero campagin it was pretty good
And that should be the second one
when do we tell him there's 2 more
Oh, i already know about those in the ||fabricator caverns||
never would have been preferable
ramming speed around 10-15 times should kill most of them 😛
that's not how you kill ants
maybe you need like 20+ on the big ones 🙂
tbh the ram damage you take is way to low
think its like 1-2 per ram or something silly
Entering the ||ice spires|| for the first time on a legit world lol
Knowing what lies beyond is not good for anxiety
the snow bunnies?
haha
Hmmm
have anyone mined the files to find out how the total resource potential of the map?
Maybe I should make some thumpers for mining
my storage area is getting kind of big and I've not even cleaned out the shallows and the twisty bridges area yet
That's not how to BZ 😛
well I've gone through the story twice so far
and my GPU really don't like bases that are to big
at least not in horizontal area
Yo the resources here are definitely worth the risk
Just from veins alone my prawn storage (upgraded x3) is almost full
Mostly silver tho. Need more copper and titanium
damn monkeys are stealing my tools again 😦
You'll come to the point where they start giving you stuff your full of.
Go find ||alan|| and it'll stop
well I'm past that so they are stealing again 😛
I dont think al an is a spoiler
Technically is
Err umm kill half their species.
Anything pertaining to the story is considered a spoiler
this is not a spoiler free channel anyway
the monkeys respawn after 10 minutes if you kill
This channel is for spoilers mate.
as I said I've completed the story so AL-AN is not in my head
Oof.
It can contain them, but you should read the channel description
its not that big of a deal, just hide the tool if you hear them making that sound they do before trying to snag your tool
||Alan|| technically pertains to late game too
Since it's not automatically activated, only by proximity
ehh
you'll have plenty of time to hide it
My sea monkeys are stealth
They come from damn behind.
Which i think its a glitch
and they make a very distinct sound before they try to steal
I just turn around and see their smiley face.
A dolphins i suppose
You weren't talking about ||alan's body||, you were talking about finding alan as in getting them in your head, which is very early into the game
Fun fact: || Rebreather databox is right next to first Al an S.O.S code ||
you have to be super early in the game or blind to not find him
I actually hated going deep so it took me days to come and find him
oh wow
Im not blind or super early,im just a wimp of the ocean
think I found him in the first 30 minutes or so
Leviathans dont scare me tho
Auto correct where are you when i need you
And auto correct just appears when i dont need him
I found it right after I got the seatruck
I went in blind and did quite a bit of the early stuff out of order
I noticed the clues as I was looking for other things like the truck fragments
and other tools/equipment
Yeah I guess I didn't see any of that while I was getting the fragments
think there are like 3 equipment platforms in TB and at least one if not two of them are close enough to notice the clues
nice
it was at one of those opening a data box I noticed
Honestly prefer subnautica over below zero
same but bz is still good
played subnautica a lot
I don't like bz
why
Idk I don't like it personally
Not really its teh same visually
i think, generally speaking, gfx could be a lot better
like i could see how it could have crystal clear graphics for higher res and settings
BZ have better textures and more detail
I got my base all set up
The new base building stuff is good
Well most of it
Depends on what u play on if u play on a 4k screen with a good pc u will notice the difference otherwise you wont
pretty sure the average poly count on things is higher in BZ
yea thats what i have
i can see how the graphics could be better
for like 4k at least it all seems a bit blurry idk
I think its fine. As I said, maybe not as good of story as before, but ok
some of the sounds scared me first time 🙂
its not nearly as time consuming to find new blueprints as in the first
yea thats rly true
I've got 158 in SN and 107 in BZ
none of the Steam games are my most played anyway 🙂
top 20 on Steam is around 150+ hours with Factorio at over 1200
no idea how many hours I've spent in WoW, but probably 4-5k or so
probably even more
.
getting to old... can't play for hours anymore or I grow bored of the game
does anyone know if you can connect power transmitters to 2 bases?
i meant having a thermal plant area and connecting it to 2 bases
Yeah can't do that either
Why do you have 2 bases close together though
does anyone know when below zero will go on sale in steam?
they arent
ones in the lilypad area
and the other is near ||phi robotics||
I don't think we know yet
That'd be a long power transmitter line
oh, thanks
yeah it was
You built it already?
ooof
i found out i have to deconstruct a transmitter so it cuts one base off but leaves the other one powered
You could put multiple thermal plants down and send the power from half of them to one base and the other half to the other base
yeah, im thinking of just putting a single solar panel down at the other base since it was only taking 0.01 power
i love when that happens
never give up
my prawn suit ran out of power cell battery so i had to abandon it until i charge the power cells again
ok bruh but who asked?
Joe did.
joe
Who? Joe mama?
Yes.
yes
Tell joe mama that we dont do that kind of things here
Who asked
joe mama did
d
e
No she didn't
yes she did
prove it
deez nuts
if i can prove that i never broke a law do you promise not to tell another soul what u saw?
that doesn't match very well buddy
here it is
nope
spikey trap 2.0
I was today years old when I learned you can interact with glow whales
If i dont like a song in the Jukebox is there a way to remove it
No. You can play a song on repeat, you can shuffle, but you can't disable songs
Unfortunate but that you anyways
Thank*
If you're on PC, you could probably tinker with the files, but that's something to do at your own risk
I wouldn't even know where to start lol
I just dont like one song
but i dont like running all the way back to skip it
i probably shouldnnt pick it up next time
none of that information fixes the problem
ok i need to clarify
there is one song in the whole game i dont like
and out of the rest
i would rather it be gone and the others remain
no its the JT one
Yeah and knowing that you can pause the jukebox and where different disc locations are doesn't have anything to do with that problem
for some reason the first subnatica game is my scary in my opinon but i still love this game
Ok, I feel sort of sadistic right now.
I built an ACU, with the better ACU mod to feed excess creatures into bioreactors.
My bioreactors are in the large room directly above the room with the ACU, with two directly on the glass of it.
My tank is full of eye jellies, looking directly up at the bioreactors..
like little jellyfish.
screenshot pls?
With one big eye
All of mine have hatched, so I don't have any to screenshot.
oh i looked it up i know now
What I do after going to marioehdiwkdvie’s greenhouse
Also where is that alien person
|| um its 200m down below near the edge of thermal vents area ||
and idk || grow more preston plant maybe||
you at least need a setruck
?
ik
they ward off snow stalkers and about the fruit salad idk cos i play iin freedom
the prestons delight they ward off snow stalkers they dont attack
in freedom you don't need food and water
freedom you dont have to eat or drink ever
ik but its hard
idk how to get mods
thermoblades easy to get u just get the mod station ad psi robotics
i thought you meant mod as in actual game mods
and ik mod station can be fouund in delta station i bet i have more progress than you
how many architect componennts do you have
just barge in with seatruck perimiter defense and LEL i have 3 body ccomponents i just need to get to the fabricator caverns
perimiter defense is in || mergurits base||
and how have you not found the || fabricator caverns ||
||It's in a smaller cave, entrances look like a circular crystal formation surrounding a chandelier like crystal formation in the middle above the entrance||
|| fabricator base has red crystals||
how u said u didnt know how to get to crystal cav cache
use seaglide map its ez
Crystal cave cache isn't the fabricator base
ik
what is morganite
It's what they're made of
oh i did thatwith the purple crystals i just never read the databank apart from voice logs and alien data
WhEre is ShAdoW LevIaTHan
Wasn't there a ghostly leviathan in the dead zone in the demo version ? It seems to me that I saw it, but I have doubts
?
There aren't any ghost leviathans in the void in this game, there are a different variant of Chelicerate
wait how did ||marguerite survive the kharaa||
Yes, I know, I just remember that when I played the demo version, someone killed me, but it wasn't white сhelicirate, since white сhelicirate doesn't have an animation of the "absorption" of the Sea Truck.
I don't know how to describe it in another way )
ok i went to the ||crystal caves|| and got ||al an organs|| and i met a friend called ||shadow leviathan|| and i scanned him
give me a gg pls
just did 30 minutes of work, pressed save, and then prematurely pressed x
lost all of it
happened to me a thing like this when i got to thw ||frozen leviathan|| for the first time
A grab attack?
wait what white chelicerate
The void Chelicerate is White and red i think
Or white and black
red and white
But those have grab attacks
There's nothing in the game that just swallows a seatruck whole
what the-
You probably didn't understand me because of a bad translation, I'm sorry )
the mouth does grab the seatruck and attempts to eat it but it aint happenin
But there's nothing else than a grab animation
and I remember that another leviathan destroyed mine seatruck in the demo version in survival(if I'm not mistaken in the dead zone ) for 3 bites and it was not white Chelicerate. Or maybe I have a rich imagination, but I remember that it was not a chelicerate
Is there any way to build ladders/stairs on surface bases without having to build a hatch?
I'm trying to fix a base that bugged out and it absolutely refuses to do it, so I need to try and find a workaround. :/
vertical tube, goes on horizontal tube
Robin in Australia
Ah no wait, she's in Russia
@sturdy dragon is that the early access build
With old Robin?
I feel that the suits they wear wouldn't be enough to keep them warm in the Arctic waters aside from the coldsuit
but specifically, the images with the inverted Robin are the newest version, but there was a bug in the creative
))

What am i supposed to do at night when my solar panels dont get light
Just made the first multipurpose room
each has a battery of 75 in it. Have more, or get a bio reactor
grow plants to put in it
Yeah bioreactor is a good energy source
Also an idea, get a bed, skip nights
True
3-4 solar panels will be plenty early game anyway
think even with a moonpool I had around 5-10 panels and it was fine
you can skip nights with a bed? woah
could you also do that in regular subnautica
because i sure as hell dont remember it
Also facing the everlasting problem of never enough copper
think you wake up at sunrise or something
make sure to grab the rocks that give copper and titanium
Can i build elevators in subnautica
Limestone outcrop
You mean vertical connector? I honestly dont know what that does
make a corridor section and attach vertical tubes under or above
then add another corridor section and go inside and add the ladder at that spot
regardless of how many vertical sections you add, using the ladder will be instant
I want MOAR
Well yeah ik
Ladder is only for multi purpose rooms tho
no
right, the game calls it an I compartment
hehe
never really bothered to learn the actual names 😛
you can use the vertical connector on all of the solid ones except the L model, and the bottom of the I glass compartment
I just call it a tube
Btw, a warning to those entering the ||ice spires||: if you bring your prawn suit, do not brave the ||ice worms||. They will tear your suit into shreds
Learned that the hard way
I don't agree. Prawn+||worm ||works pretty well
If you avoid them, yes
you trying to kill it or something? you can't
But if you try to walk past one, it will do around 40 damage a hit
I learned that when|| ice worms|| attack i fall of my snowfox
I hate that.
It's a hoverbike, so the vibrations wouldn't be the cause. You can be 20 meters away and it still happens...
yes
It's completely unrealistic and a massive inconvenience
sometimes my snowfox gets stuck
and i have to stay close to the ||ice worm|| so i can pack it
The only reason I braved that area was to get 2 full seatruck modules + upgrade3 prawn suit + half an inventory's worth of bulk resources
Worth it
I don't know if it's normal but I only had to go to the ||ice spires|| once
the entire game
Once you get the piece for the story, there's no requirement to return
hmmm
I went in for resources and grabbed it while I was there
I went for story, but i remember when i got lost
Kinda wish the area was a lot bigger tbh. It feels too cramped
i was stuck between 2 ice worms
I was hoping for massive, open field of ice
and didn't know the way back
me too
Kinda renders the snowfox half useless since the icy areas are so cramped
Prawn suit is still better tho
Kill ice stalkers in seconds and dodge ||ice worms|| easily
prawn suit > all
Seatruck is better for long distance tho
I hate how if you stack large rooms, you cant put partions under any objects placed in the center of the room above
It's annoying
The Seatruck was long and ugly. Everyone liked the Cyclops better the fact that it was spacy and sized.
^ True
I miss the Cyclops
People say it was annoying and clunky but I was good at piloting it
Never used tho
I prefer the Seatruck over the Cyclops.
If the made the Sea truck’s modules non-stiff and flexible then I would maybe say otherwise
Also, to add on. Subnautica is not supposed to be a completely horror genre, meaning if you discriminate those who rather find this game as a little violent, you are a woke person. It's like this game wanted everyone to be so "transistical"
I never found SN to be violent.
Same
The cyclops was easy to pilot lol
The seatruck sucks compared to it, but it's still better than nothing
Me neither, but there are those who favor non-violent games because of their emo-hipster culture and I find this utterly disgusting. I hate those transists who think they can dictate video games and if we don't find a way to mitigate this threat, they'll spread like disease.
It was occasionally difficult to fit through certain spots, but that's what happens when you're the only one driving a 40 foot submarine
Agreed. People these days need to mind their own business if they don't like the violent aspects of video games.
For some of us, those violent aspects keep us from being violent irl by instead putting it into a game (anger issues :/)
I was excited to try out the sea truck because I thought it would be sort of like a “train” where the modules sway and move behind it as it moves so the vehicle can be more maneuverable, but the thing is practically just a long metal rod that’s slightly bigger than the sea moth
Now my seatruck is dark
0__o
YES.
I hated that it was a rigid stick of compartments
Probably because of the power being out?
Here here! You should be consul admin of this server and game! Long live the republic!!! Down with the separatists! 👏
I was hoping that they would add that flexibility but they never did 😢
But it never went out
Idk then man. Glitch?
I think so
"Long live the republic" I don't think I've heard of such a beautiful line.
And do you guys remember the truck’s reverse camera? they took that out for some reason and practically made it worse
It was causing issues
Arghh!!! Then how do we steer our seatrucks in reverse!? D:<
That's the neat part: You don't
When you get stuck you have to disconnect the modules and get it out bit by bit
It’s happened to me multiple times lol
This is so annoying
Lucky me i had only 1 module
looks wide eyed in 7 modules
Glares at my 100 moduled Seatruck
You mean the immobile seatruck?
Subnautica below zero I find was very challenging the fact that the seatruck depth was limited and you had to dive below 200 meters yourself to get the upgrades, modules and speaker logs.
It ain't immobile. Just slow.
That thing be moving at the death star’s pace lol
1 meter per 3 seconds slow.
0.5 mph
I like that it actually makes you put in the work to do things now
ikr
Pretty fast with the Afterburner Upgrade tho.
I actually hated and liked that at the same time
But once you get the upgrades yourself, you realize that it was useless already. Lol.
I am currently trying to drain my 4 nuclear reactor rods as to not waste them when I go to move my base
This is tedious
I dunno, my 86 Storage Modules seem pretty useful.
My current base in the caverns runs on 2 reactors in a separate building
Once I get a more adequately located base, I'll have it running on a nuclear reactor with a backup bioreactor and 4 solar panels, just to keep oxygen online if I accidentally drain all my power without noticing
If there are 86 storage modules, what are the other ones?
I meant the seatruck vehicle upgrade. If you dive below 200 meters down to get an upgrade of a seatruck that boosts depth by 300, 400, 500, 600, but in the end, you had to do everything yourself. Unless you get the prawn suit.
Even with the prawn suit, that's only a 100 meter difference per upgrade
most importantly how is that many modules maneuverable in the slightest?
The rest are Aquariums, Fabricators, Teleportation, Sleepers, and a Docking Module.
Why do you have so much modules
Because why not?
Why not become the Seatruck King?
It's uhh... pretty irritating when trying to rotate. Ya really gotta yank at the mouse, y'know.
Wait
I feel like the cyclops made you feel safer from the leviathan as the submarine is huge in size, unlike the seatruck which makes you feel so small and weak. But if they're gonna it into a horror game, I'm not buying sub 3. I'm out. xD
Can 100 modules even fit anywhere on the map? That seems like it'd be physically impossible to move around
Laughs in controller
Yeah... it can.
Ever heard of the open waters?
It's not everywhere. There's actual landscape littering this game's terrain
I imagine the back end collides with objects or even leviathans quite often
Literally
The map for BZ is bigger than everyone thinks.
You probably can't even angle it lower than -1° because the modules won't go above water
Maybe the lillypads you could eventually lower it farther
Now in the first game it would definitely have more space
Yeah
Other than the shallows, the entire map was pretty open
Felt more like a proper deep ocean that way
That’s what I liked about the first game, the environment when you were new to the game was huge and ominous
You people do realize that the Eastern Iceberg Zone, Western Iceberg Zone, Tree Spires, and the Lilypad Islands are all deep, right?
Oh yeah... and the Water Void.
The ghost leviathan would flourish
If there was room for a third subnautica game at some point I would finally have a reason to live lol
🤔
If it makes you feel better, they are going to return to the Subnautica series.
Big time
I’m so pumped now
Yes. It's just not gonna be for a little while.
The ending was insane
I want new vehicles
It answered a lot of questions, but opened more, as always
Yeah I can’t wait to see what happens
A lot of endings tend to do that.
Currently compacting all my copper and silver into wire-
Expect SN 2 to begin production in the year 2030.
Unfortunately, that's how mysteries work
I think they actually confirmed it, but not when
That’s good to know, I can’t wait to see what map it will be
Y'all Chill BZ is still Fresh
Playing these games is so fun when your new
"According to Below Zero's Director David Kalina, the answer is yes … eventually."
So yeah. Confirmed, but no other info than that
You gotta remember that there are ton of other games, you can't just plan on playing only Subnautica
Yes but yk
The only problem is that it's not perfect
There's a LOT of room for improvement
But it's good enough to enjoy quite a lot
Never said I only play subnautica XD I have like 15 other games
Enjoy those other games then
Y'all PC players have it nice, there are alotta cool free to play games when on Ps4 you only get "don't hit me bro"
how much does bz cost on xbox
Same price I’d assume
Its 29.99$ on Ps4
I think it's probably the same as ps4, 25 bucks
Its 30
ok that’s pretty good
i’m fine with paying 5 extra bucks tbh
As long as it keeps the company going then yah I'm fine as well
I have 2 lockers worth of copper, compacted into copper wire, plus an extra 8
I think my expedition into the ||ice spires|| went way too well
And that's not even all of it. There's still some miscellaneous amounts lying around
16 batteries... too many?
Probably, considering I just packed my tools with ion
ok so i noticed something on the loading screen
in the loading screen we can see the artic sector of 4546B
but near it there is another ''biome'' and i noticed it s a lava one
I haven't even depeleted so much as ONE rod
There goes one...
😂
Looking for opinions here. What is your favorite above ground base location, purely from an aesthetic perspective?
||Ice spires||
Although dangerous, it's plentiful with resources, and you can observe those powerful beasts from the safety of an observatory
not a bad choice
I ran 7 purifiers off one reactor once
it technically can't keep up with the power draw, but the purifiers will finish before you ever hit zero. It doesn't even deplete one rod either
nuclear in BZ is easily the best resource in my opinion
only real downside is how loud it is, so you'll need to built it far away from your main place, less you want your ear drums blown out
Not in this case. I'm keeping them running nonstop
It's down to 750
And still dropping
Probably gonna have to deconstruct a purifier to keep it balanced out, that way it drains but not this mucj
If I recall, it stabilizes at 4
That was satisfying. A purifier finished a water and salt at the exact same time
salt for days
Pda: seek fluid intake immediately
Me: I'm in a room with 6 water purifiers. When is that NOT an option?
It's stable enough at 5 for now. Just gonna idle and let it drain
Where can i find the ||architect organs||? I already built the ||2 other components||
||They're in the Crystal Caves, in a smaller cave called the Crystal Castle. The entrances are a ring of crystals hanging down and pointing up with gaps in the middle surrounding a chandelier like crystal formation||
youll find it at 670m
I was wondering why there'd be 2 architect artifacts location, but I can't tell which one is which in my navigation panel.
yeah. it's a good idea to manually turn off artifact beacons
The most fun biome in the game
||I'd say one of the most disappointing, second to the one lower than it||
||nothing like a pretty and nearly entirely empty biome to captivate the mind...||
The leviathan is annoying
what is a drill?
Prawn drill?
I'm making a joke, saying to just drill it to death
||I was really hoping for them to be these unique and fascinating biome, only to find that nearly all the life you find there, is also found at the surface||
I find the ||purple crystal caverns to be quite beautiful|| actually. Just goes to show how everyone has different expectations and tastes. Overall I think the game is gorgeous and love the design aesthetic
||no disagreement there, it's definitely beautiful, and a great deal of the art design is absolutely fantastic. I'm exclusively referring to the ecology in those areas is all. They're just...well sort of empty.||
Me when Thanos has all of the infinity stones and he snaps his fingers.
That's number 2-
This is agony
I wish we could remove reactor rods that haven't been used yet
You mean like from a Nuclear Reactor?
I can think of like 2 reasons why you'd want to do that.
you have to find uranite to make them, which is time consuming.
so unless you like to go hunting for it, if you want to move the reactor at all, you'll have to either deplete or waste the rods
uranite?
The Mercury 2 Wrecks have a ton.
what???
Uraninite Crystals.
what are they
Yup.
Bio reactor tho is much more... "Flexible"on resources
Uranite i suppose you get from shadow
Or thats kyanite.
Best place to find Uraninite crystals: ||Deep lily pads, and the crystals caves.||
WhEre is CrYStal CaVes
No. I will not spoil what happens.
don't spoil what doesn't happen
Is there only 2 leviathans in BZ?
noooo.
Tell me. Or i steel your cuukies.
More than that, i believe there are only 3 hostile species though.
The grammar was intentional by the way.
3 hostile, 3 peaceful, 1 extinct
4 hostile, one probably dead, can't be sure
||There are 7 total||
One is dead yes
Wait what
It's flexible on fuel, yeah, but each rod gives you 20,000 energy
poke it and see
Tell me all of them.
I'm tryina drain a total of 80K energy rn lol
negative
||Four red Chel's and three white||
Are you kidding me-
no joke
what? We mean different species
3 of them are conditional
What do you mean
^
They don't exist until you meet the requirements
Oh...
That requirement being in a specific location
||Juvenile Ventgarden, Adult Ventgarden, Glow Whale, Chelicerate, Shadow Leviathan, Ice Worm, Frozen Leviathan||
also they are infinite in number
That too
Chels aren’t a big problem. ||Shock module for seatruck|| shows them who’s boss.
Ventgardens are leviathans wow
Logan: the other chel too
I meant hostile
they aren't hostile
Until you're fighting 3 of them that never give up
Is the ||squidshark|| a leviathan or no?
||Chel's stay dead when killed no?||
Okay that’s a problem
No
No.
ICe worms too??
Oh
no
Only two i call leviathans
the red one yes. The white is inifinite
Ice Worms are 95 meters long.
Shrimp and shadow.
Where to find it
||Interesting, I didn't know they kept respawning when killed. Makes sense though||
the void.
Yep
okay pats head
3 of them spawn, one every 30 seconds
They are killable.
You mean the empty place?
They're probably killable... but they'll keep coming back
yes... but they are infinite in number
Wait tell me whats the void
Just take your seatruck and keep heading west
Im doing it in creative tho
If you keep heading west you'll get to a wall of ice
I cant just lose my progress
More precisely southwest
Go south or east
South east.
||Biggest problem I've had when killing one is that you can't really use the prawn, unless you like riding one into the nether and losing it to the depths each time you let go lol||
Infinite depth? No altitude?
Up to around 8200 meters or so. Then you get teleported back to the world
Holy son of a-
That's the void. The deadzone
The edge of the map
Now, there's one strange factor nobody seems to have ever mentioned
Even leviathans kill you in creative?
Lots of people on so I'll ask again. In your opinion, what is the best above ground location to build, purely from an aesthetic perspective.
How far out can you go?
That..
I do not know. The void ones might be capable, but I doubt it
Nothing hurts you in creative.
Tell that to dying in an exploding cyclops in the first game
That way in survival i will be god of all creatures.
Or just scan them all in survival.
Thats the fascinating one.
Yeah, that's my current goal
Secret weakness of everything in the game: ||Gurren Lagann||
Have observatories and whatnot littered around to observe leviathans, labs for aquariums and planters...
Science
Nah, scrap that
Ain't nobody got time fo dat
googles every creature
What is gurren lagann
sad noises
Why not just put a base in the void
I havent seen him lately tho
You can see 3
Shrimp just wants to show you that love is via the stomach
Carl is gone on my world.
Thats fine i can go to the void anyway
Next up is sean the shadow leviathan.
||Since you're in creative, the easiest way to find leviathans is to set up a scanner room where you think they might be, stick four expansion augments in it, and set it to find leviathans. It'll give you a target reticle showing you its position at all times, when in range.||
Your next challenge is to kill ||an ice worm|| in creative
spends 3 hours whacking one with a knife in a futile attempt to kill the immortal
you are cruel
You should totally try to scan those ones in survival ;)
They're definitely not bigger than regular ones. Perfectly normal sized...
||Sadly they don't even have their own data entry.||
Below zero earlygame question - ||just got an alien in my brain - ALAN told me ill get blueprints for a vessel or something but i cant find any blueprint anywhere no matter where i look||
||it’s at the bottom of your blueprint page thing but you need to find the ingredients by finding architect technology around the world||
Guess i gotta go back to that pilot signal in that scary biome
Didnt find anything there first time around
Man getting batteries is so much harder here
in regular subnautica acid mushrooms are everywhere
||sometimes it doesn’t work when you find an architect site||
|| is the test override module something I should find close by the radio or is it something I'm going to find later? ||
oh it's working
Tbh ||i dont think the pilot signal is an architect site because it appeared before i even got an architect in my head||
there are hints by the tower, that it may be in ship wrecks
Thanks. I guess I've missed those lol.
just made a detour to find rebreather blueprints and ||stumbled into an alien base by accident||
good
These things are horrible to find for a new player that doesn't know what they're really looking for. Spoilers on exactly what you're looking for, don't read if you don't want to spoil what you're looking for: ||In the wreck of the Mercury II found broken into three pieces across the ocean floor, you'll find small sealed compartments that need to be cut open with a laser cutter. Inside of these electrical panel size fixtures, you'll find the parallel processing unit that can be scanned for 1/3 of the progress on the "component" needed to create the test module.||
I'm having a much easier time with this one than the first game. I just didn't want to miss it if it was close to the place I need to put it.
Thanks
No worries. ||I had all but finished the game before I eventually figured out that I was supposed to find these where I stated. The way it is written in game with the clues given to you, it almost sounds like he was looking for silver or something, as he states he is, "missing an element".||
||So are all of the pieces of the parallel processing unit inside the ship? i cant manage to find all 3, only 2||
there are 3 wrecks, with number of parts: 3, 2, and 1
Beautiful plumage.
Oh yeah I did read that clue just a bit ago and thought the same thing.
Right? ||It's odd that the writers chose to call it an "element" and not a "component", nevermind why on Alterra would he require a blueprint from a decades old crashed ship, for a comms tower that they presumably built themselves? Like...what the hell is going on here? lol.||
I guess they needed some reason to get you back in the water lol
||I feel that way about most of the story unfortunately.||
I hope I'm not disappointed by it
Personal opinion, don't read unless you want to hear my thoughts in a non-spoiler way: ||The story is so bad that it reads like the writing of a primary school child that received a failing grade.||
Ouch
Oh well. I more enjoy the exploring aspect anyways. I didn't pay much attention to the story in the first game until the end
||the last one didnt have a story at all but it is one of the best rated games on steam||
It did. Did you not finish it the story was awesome
||oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh i forgot about the sea dragon thing||
It has a more subtle story than bz so it makes sense the expectancy of a subtle story threw some off
88.5% of all players on the steam database also have never finished it. So take that as you will.
I have several games that I will play later.
Obviously this skews your finish stats
Look at the stats for the locate pod achievement.
I'm not certain how many of those players will be returning to a game released over seven years ago lol.
Bro why don't sea monkeys give me resources anymore? They only steal
What happened ?
They go back to how they were originally when you ||transfer alan out of your head||
So they were only nice when I had ||Alan in my head||??
|| ok i just finished it and the story was ok but at the end is where it became really good. I wish they did more stuff with robin but i guess the whole alan thing was supposed to get you into the story of the 3rd game||
Not fair man I legit hatched alot of them around my base and now they only bother me instead of helping me
that sucks
I wish I'd known that too so I could've saved before I did that and get a sea monkey army or something too
Story spoilers, nobody read unless you've finished the game: ||You serious? There are so many problems with this story that it's difficult to choose where to begin. So Sam synthesized a freaking CURE FOR THE KHARA, that in the first game required a unique enzyme to counteract its spread produced by a single species on 4546B, from a pepper and common water plant. What the hell? Then there's the comms tower fiasco, with the parallel processing unit. Then there's the wildly inconsistent conversations between AL-AN and Robin. It comes off as childish "No U!" for most of the time, not a conversation between two perportedly intelligent xeno-biologists. On the note of AL-AN he's apparently a singular and or collective individual depending on the whim of the writers, that is currently chilling within the cerebral cortex of Robin's brain....seemingly without any problems on Robins behalf. So much is wrong with that, that I'm not even going to get into it. Then at the end of it all, he goes back to his capital world to "make ammends" without bringing the pepper juice cure with him. There's just so much wrong with this story that I'd outright give it a 1/10.||
||There used to be a Sea Emperor out in the Lilypads or Arctic biome one time, they should have at least kept that as a way to explain how Alterra reintroduced Enzyme 42 and maybe put a device in that cave where the antidote is that can be used near that Sea Emperor to collect and concentrate the enzyme so it can be injected into the frozen leviathan||
||Personally I had more of a problem with how it seems they took a step back from the attention to detail they put into the world and leviathans in Subnautica. The Crater Edge and Lava Zones had a reason to be there because the whole map was a dormant volcano, and the lifeforms that lived in both of those biomes had adaptations to survive there. In the Crystal Caves in Below Zero are just there to look cool and only have rock punchers and tiny fish which can both be found elsewhere and Shadow Leviathans. The void in BZ is still a sheer drop even though there isn't any reason it should be.||
||The Shadow Leviathans would require way more food than was available in their home biomes. They have no adaptations to living in those caves, they're just there to be scary and act as an obstacle. The Chelicerates are also just there to be scary and an obstacle for specific places, nothing interesting about them like a special attack method like the Reaper or some other interesting thing like having a fully explained lifecycle that fit into the world like the Ghost Leviathan, and have the same reaper grab attack as the Shadow Leviathans. The Void Chelicerates are just a longer variant of the normal ones that are reskinned just to look spooky. Other Chelicerates that live on the map attack other creatures like Cryptosuchuses, so we know that these void ones don't just feed off microbes like the void Ghosts in Subnautica did.||
You know I need to just write all this stuff out somewhere else and then link it whenever I want to mention it instead of doing this
fr tho I just took 15 minutes typing out paragraphs of stuff I've already said multiple times
||"The Shadow Leviathans would require way more food than was available in their home biomes." I think it would have worked far better if they were consuming the crystals as a food source, and that they attack anyone in the area as a territorial concern. There could have even been little ones around the place, and the reason for there only being a handful of bigs ones, is that they kill one another off when they reach a certain size. Having more smaller ones about would have made the place far more threatening too. Instead of: "Oh no, it bit my prawn....get out and repair, keep going as if nothing happened while it buggers off"||
||That aside, I also think that the crust should have frozen over due to the onset of winter, and that was the reason that Alterra left, while the fauna and flora in the region primarily survived off from chemosynthesis. But that's another matter entirely.||
shadow leviathans are sus
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa my prawn suit blew up from a leviathan
Mine blew up once cause there’s a glitch where the game still thinks you’re in your prawn suit
And a leviathan kept attacking it
oh
my prawn suit fell in to a hole that was deeper than 400m
and i tried to use the vertical thrusters to go up but it was stuck in the bottom
and a leviathan ate it
i had like 6 ion cubes in the storage
I lowkey didn't even bother making a prawn suit in BZ. It didn't feel like it was necessary. I just got away with a seatruck and a bunch of depth modules
You don't really need any of that

I was making a map edge base, because I wanted to see whats out there but I dont trust the seatruck nearly as much as the cyclops
it was taking longer then expected to actually reach the area, but then bam finally got my frist look at the thing
I was not expecting it clip right into the base, and that was my first look so it scared the crap out of me
Red shrimp pog
Thats pretty cool
It was in the early access versions but it was cut out (
I smell a person using summon commands
Nope. I just went to an earlier version
Hello Subnauticans, is it safer to travel within the ||Arctic Spires in Snowfox or PRAWN suit?|| 🧐
prawn
You'll get knocked off the snowfox every time the ||Ice Worm|| attacks and it gets damaged more easily than the PRAWN
||There are also several large ion cube deposits you need to drill with the PRAWN ||
hi im new here
subnautica / below zero looks insane i want to play
but i dont have mony ;-;
(ill just watch from ppl)
Technically you could beat the game with JUST a seatruck cabin, a perimiter defense system, and a lvl 3 depth module. You only need the resources for 6 items really.
But what's the fun in that?
Ok, obviously a habitat builder would be handy for on land tho
Otherwise you'd need a coldsuit or coffee.. and that's all just a hassle
The game is really simple and straightforward once you get the hang of it
Technically you could beat the game with a seaglide, air bladder, and extra oxygen tanks
Have you ever heard of speeduns
glitchless speedruns
Still not exactly possible unless you know the EXACT route though the ||crystal caverns|| like the back of your hand ten times over
Even then, if the leviathans bother ya, you won't make it
Considering there's 4 of them...
And considering how easy it is to get a seatruck, I think you could get a faster time with that
evidently not
It's faster than swimming too
depth modules and building a base to use a modification station would be time consuming though
Literally one module and one solar panel
And you can get the MS at delta station
Which is easy and quick to reach
Think about it. Would needing a dozen batteries to swim all over the map with a seaglide be efficient?
idk just watch a speedrun they use the seaglide
is below zero ever gonna go on sale
probably
i dont want to feel like scammer who goes to random servers and advertises but i have a website reccomendation
/to download bz for free dont judge me
Who needs air bladder?!?

Have you tried air bladder in below zero?
No I just don’t need one
air bladder is op im telling you
It was like 27 i think
?
27m/s
Wait what is the subnautica air bladder speed?
It can get you up like 150-200m
Like 4m/s probably lol
Wow
6.25
But still that’s damn fast
Yup
air bladder is great for dodging teeth & just getting up fast
also nice way to jump onto bigger ice floats & land
you can get some decent air time w it
Hello everyone
I'm getting ready to start my second playthrough
was there a bz early acces ending? cause i know the story was completely different
The game isn’t giving me the location of the Artifact LF0. Is it because I scanned it already so it doesn't give me a signal anymore?
Probably
No, there was no ending for the original story
Any tips on finding table coral? I've gone through two batteries trying to find one?
between twisty bridges & deep twisty bridges I tend to find a lot
Yay! I found some.
Thanks

Also... Which outcrop has gold?
uhm
Calaverite
where do you find silver?
argentum outcrops & silver ore veins
the silver ore veins I know of are by phi robotics & the argentum outcrops can be found in different places underwater - I think I found most of mine near the koppa/delta area
kk ty
Got a message a while ago about ||mercury 2 ship or something|| but nothing appeared on the map
Idk where to find it i've been around
It’s in several pieces. You get messages about the various sections when you are in proximity to one of them, pda will make an announcement about it
You have to look for it visually & place a beacon yourself. You don’t get an automatic beacon
Hm so exploration time
So the intro area has supplies
ye
It’s currently 7AM, cold outside, and I’m going to play some BZ right now. 👍
Nice.
Where do I get below zero cheap?
$30 isn't bad for standard price
Any recent updates? I gave up on the game because it started crashing my entire computer every ten minutes.
If a game crashes your computer, the problem is not the game.
Good to know! Is Below Zero way, way more demanding than any other game and somehow fries my GPU then?
To me, Below Zero looks pretty similar to the original game?
no, not usually
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
im broke xD
The weird part is that I could play like 4 hours before this started, and can start a new save file without it happening.
That tells me something's building up.
Does it crash immediately? You can reduce GPU load a lot, by using the option "Limit FPS"
After pretty much exactly ten minutes on that save file.
Limit it to below your actual FPS, or it has no effect. 30 is fine to play with
Sounds like something to try!
yes. This reduces my GPU fans from annoying to fine
I've noticed my CPU's pretty warm.
But warmer in other games without anything breaking.
I play mostly VR.
My CPU probably shouldn't be bouncing around between 50-100 degrees..
60 degrees in the main menu..
I often see "Below Zero is crashing or freezing my computer, or Below Zero doesn't work on my computer whereas I can play whateverGameHere in ultra, fix your broken game!". These people don't understand that sure the graphics in this game aren't hyper-realistics it is not like it's more demanding, but it uses different shaders / is solliciting your hardware in a different way, which produces different results and might reveal some underlying failures.
the menu is high load in this game
I'm not telling anyone else to fix my issue, I'm just searching for ways to be able to play 🙂
I know, I wasn't blaming you.
Just telling what I read on forums.
Finding the cause of those issues isn't easy.
I'm about ten minutes in without a crash, who knows, perhaps limiting fps to 60 did the trick!
Are all three parts of the ||parallel interference thingy|| in the ||mercury 2 near purple volcanoes||
I found two and ive been looking for the third for 20 min now
If the game is on sale anywhere official (Which I very highly doubt seeing as how new it is.), you can get it there. Otherwise, pay the full $30 and enjoy your adventures on this Arctic hellhole.
Wait for the sales if it's expensive for you. If you're waiting for another answer I will guide you towards the #rules. 6. Solicitation, buying, trading, selling of goods and services, asking/begging for game keys and free stuff is not allowed. & 8. No sharing or discussions of content that was illegally obtained or pirated.
Any ideas or should i head home
There are only 2 fragments in the big Mercury II wreck in the Purple Vents
Soo i gotta find another wreck
oh sorry no thats the answer i searched for xD
Just East of the Stern is a wreck for the Thruster. There you can get another PPU fragment.
Don't know if im missing something but went straight east from the stern following the ground and i passed the lilypad forest and went into some 300m deep empty blue biome so i went back
That's a little too far, the Thruster wreck is in a section of the Purple Vents.
hi guys i have 2 questions
-1 Is the stasis gun is on BZ ?
-2 i remember long time ago there was a rear camera on the seatruck when we use to go back is it stilll in the game ?
there isn't a take all items option right?
kind of annoying to have to click for every item in a locker
No, and no
hey ignis do you think there should have been a farming module for the seatruck
pretty sure thats void
there was a plant pot module. Literally one plant pot in it. It was removed
Just above a huge crevasse that leads into the Deep Purple Vents
Moar storage!
Damn
bro ive been trying to cut open a door for 5 mins and i just noticed i was using the repair tool
Lmao
Anyone having texture trouble? All of a sudden my solar panel are ALL white?
I have that sometimes
the colors of buildings will change randomly at times
your device may be out of memory, or video RAM. If the texture is there, but really pale, it's just a lighting bug
Hmm okay. Mine seems very vague. Almost like the finer details are missing. I will try with an update of the GFX driver tomorrow. Have a nice evening.
How much VRAM? Highest texture setting will use more than 4GB for sure
kind of weird how you change that as you have to use the preset and reduce it from high to normal and then adjust the rest after that
After reading a lot of the comments on a Below Zero YouTube video I'm kinda disappointed that the number of people who think Subnautica and Below Zero take place on different planets is more than 0
Where can I find gold early game? I've found a few but I'm starting to get frustrated
kelp caves, tunnels under the creepvines
Also in the north ice wall, there's a little cove 1m deep, with silver and gold in the wall. About where you first jumped in
Thanks friend.
Is it just me or does Robin sound like a man when she gets hurt?
Why did they remove so many upgrades from the game
totally to annoy you personally
U done failing at being funny?
Honestly ever since they changed both the story and voice actors, robin felt off
What kind of answer were you expecting for that kind of question?
Balancing/game design perspective ?
Like, i think someone mentioned some modules not being used as much b4 release when the sea truck thermal charge got dumped
But it feels like an excuse to make us constantly swap power cells from the prawn to the sea truck
I have no clue. But that question would have been a lot better and have some room for a decent reply. Your initial question is crazy vague.
Honestly i don't have any issues with that specifically.
Wich someone migth have thougth would make it more challenging but its just annoying
I might have too many hours in, but i have rarely ran out of power in any of my recent plays
True after ion power it just becomes trivial, tbh i just liked the choice that og sn had
I hardly ever build ion power cells or batteries
specifically for the Seatruck i don't really compare it to the Cyclops. It's way faster and way easier to take anywhere and there are also fewer hot areas so i am not sure it would help a lot
If you liked to use flank on cyclops fire supression was your friend, but otherwise you would go for shield
(and the map is smaller and it is less deep)
True, that is one aspect i dont like on bz, they did say og sn was empty but that could be fixed if they just made stuff require more fragments
Not sure i would have liked that. Was not a big fan of farming through loads of wrecks heh.
The games are very different to me. I enjoy both, but for very different reasons heh
I wouldnt mind because the environmental design was so damn good
Id have more excuses to swim arround and enjoy the scenic view
i recently went back to another playthrough of the original and sadly gave up. I still LOVE the atmosphere. But i am not scared anymore, i don't feel alone anymore and without that it's just a lot of pointless travelling involved
Had they not scrapped so much concept art i feel sn wouldnt have those issues
My biggest gripe with BZ is that i don't feel scared anymore and that leviathan's are not scary enough
Hell, the put a frickin hat on the shadow leviathan
That said, i realised in my going back to SN that it's likely just me knowing how to handle each of them heh
They tried taking the stasis rifle away to make you defenseless wich just: ugh
Never been a fan of the rifle. Feeling helpless against huge creatures is a big part of what drew me into SN
Its whole design is geared towards NOT fighting. So i don't care about the genre. It's about the mechanics. And feeling afraid of even Stalkers in the beginning was a big part of the sensation for me personally
It being geared towards not figthing is another gripe for me, you are supposed to stand there and be thrown arround by the wildlife trying to kill u? If you are trying to make a statement at least give the animals more personality than big n hungry
But why? I found it well balanced and well explained. I find that a "massacre" being the reason for no more weapons in fabricators way more realistic than i wish heh
Anyways, that's just how i felt in the game. It was a big part for me and i seriously doubt Subnautica would have become such a great game/franchise/experience if i could have just shot a Reaper
I didn't play it until a few days ago. When did they change it?
When the previews writer left
*previous
Thanks. I was kinda confused.
Its not that the balance is off, (that is a whole other can of worms that i can get into later) is that the statement is flawed, a single massacre is used as justification to jeopardize the survival chances of anyone stranded in an alien planet with possibly dangerous fauna/flora "your ship crashed into a planet filled with giant superpredators? Heres a butter knife, hope your kids are fine losing a parent"
previews is a word too, about seeing things early
Yea, thanks for the correction
she was refused to go there, so she sneaked in on her own money
Tbh, she uses xenoworks equipment, idk why the hell she is still under alterran fabricator rules
So was the protagonist voiced before they overhauled the story?
Yes
she had two previous voice actors. If not more
They changed the voice actress (gosh i miss her accent) for robin and a couple of other characters too i think
Was the story totally different?
it's 80% different
Robin was way more snarky
I want to look it up but not if it's going to spoil the game
You can still play the old story, on steam with a code. Ending is missing
Its not gonna
I'm on playstation
