i am the part where i already ||checked the artifact that is called X3J or something||, and now i need to ||go down to about 400 meters find this other artifact|| (those spoilers are about 5 hours in)

i played subnautica (first game) while knowing about ||the sunbeam exploding||, ||the sea emporer||, most of the fauna but all of the leviathans, i also knew how the game ended.... i dont wanna repeat that mistake xD, but i still had a lot of fun playing that game, and i wouldnt have bought below zero if i hadnt played subnautica first

Gonna be honest, BZ was a fun game, but it just didn't live up to the original subnautica for me. It just wasn't the same, not as much terror.

I get BZ was different, and that's fine, but I just think part of what made subnautica so good was the terror factor and the sense of being alone, and BZ doesnt have much of that

#

you never feel too alone with AL-AN, and everything in BZ is just bright, whereas in the original it was much darker, with more of the terror factor

#

And i should say i still enjoyed BZ and im not hating, im just giving my opinion thats all, i think the developers still did an amazing job

#

But i believe part of what made the original subnautica so good was because of the terror, I mean there are tons of memes about subnautica giving people thalassophobia. I mean, the first time i saw a chelicerate i didnt even think it was a leviathan, it just was not that scary. In the original, when you saw a leviathan, you KNEW it was a leviathan.
