the squi sharks only really patrol the seafloor but sometimes they swim up

like once i left my prawn suit parked on the roof of my ||lilypad islands|| base and squid sharks kept swiming towards it and attacking it and flooding my base.

#

Also almost destroyed my prawn suit but I moved it underneath my base so they couldn't attack it

#

My base was built on one of the floating big rocks suspended by the lilypads so they didn't normally come up that far.

fuzzy, the ice worm is a lot more manageable in a prawn than the snowfox. just sayin'.

honestly, the snowfox is bad. at least for me. the prawn can get everywhere the fox can, most of the time faster, and ice worms are a lot less annoying.

Sorry for making a fuss, but I need to ask since I am at stressed state. I have some questions about achievement disable that occurs bcs of console command.

From what I read Below Zero has a really unforgiving rule, that "If the console is opened and/or Console Commands are used, Achievements will be disabled permanently. " And I've been wondering if it means even accidental turning on console and closing without save counts still, since I am not sure if it is more tied to activating any cheats(sorry I am probably at that stage of grieve, since by one accidental missplace of a finger from 1 to f1 I might have ruined my game).
Another question is whether it works per save file or it is global disable? Since if I lost opportunity to get achievements on my first playthrough, I might get it on another round. But if it is global ban, like per account, than I might have a problem...

1 it does say it disables on open. Though that's a little surprising.
2. It's saved in your save file, so it doesn't affect a new or older save

They're disabled when you use the first command.
They are not global; it's only for that specific save file.

And achievements only stay disabled if you save after using commands. If you reload without saving, they'll re-enable.

... Wait, we are still talking in about Below Zero in Below Zero chatroom... So how is that different from a regular one? I am so confused already and it's not bcs it is 3am here. Given the fact in that stress I checked achievements on wiki(took spoilers, whatever now when I'm in the middle), for now I've done nothing that would make another achievement appear in untainted save file, so I might just as well wait till I do the thing(||probably I will fix that bridge, after I make a second base||).

Ice Worms aren't creatures, from what my screwing around can tell. They seem to be closer to environmental hazards in terms of how they're coded from a game perspective.

You can't scan for them, and they get spawned near you unless you go into the safe zones.

It technically does.
||You find your sister being killed by alterra, and finish what she wanted to do. This makes the "I don't have anything to go back to" line make sense as well. I think the story is quite nice.||

No. What I mean is, she went through all the effort of making an antidote and stashing it away, and then instead of getting the antidote, putting it in the robot, and then putting that into the big boi, she got explosives to try to seal off the cave it was in. How does that solve the problem of big boi having a disease?

I’m not sure, but I think ||sam went to stash the antidote first for safe keeping so no one would find it and destroy it, then she went to plant the explosives, but Parvan found out and she maybe..and this is more guess than anything…had to set them off prematurely to keep Parvan from maybe arresting her and Alterra stopping her so it was the lesser of the two evils to make that sacrifice to cut off access to the frozen leviathan, but I’m not sure about that||

I think the antidote stash is a huge problem. It could have been solved at that moment with the robot, so unless Alterra have been pranking us and they harvested some bonus kharaa and left the robot there so that hypothetically if some future person showed up to try to find out what happened to their sister could think she solved the problem, I can't see why that was done.

I do wonder, maybe their connection isn’t immediate if there is great distance separating them. He was far from the home world, or maybe their core worlds, doing the research, maybe connection to the others wasn’t instantaneous when he made his decision to work on sea dragons. Some of these, what you call “plot holes” don’t really relate to the mission ||Robin and Al-An are currently on, which is getting him into a body of his own and out of her mind, and ultimately finding his way home to see what’s happened there||

Correct. Most of them are related to worldbuilding and characters from prior to the story. If it's a detective whathappened style story, the answer makes no sense. As for why the world is the way it is, that also makes no sense. The characters act in ways their backstory implies they shouldn't (again, Robin asks zero questions of AL-AN).

I care about this because if I'm going to recommend a game to people, then I need to know why I'm recommending the game. With Subnautica, that was the story, gameplay, and soundtrack. With Below Zero, it's at most the gameplay, and that's tenuous. If the game was "ruined", it was done so by the writers, not myself, since I can only notice and piece together details created by the writers.

No matter what i do, it crashes after 5 mins (PS4 blue screen). Any possibility to get it working or need to wait for the next big patch?

I start a complete new game (no matter what type), then it takes about 5 mins. Once i was able to play nearly 10 mins (still near the crash zone). Then it crashes. No special action im doing, sometimes when walking around, or showing up inventory, collecting stuff.

For some reason, some items just don't let you scan them in certain locations. I think it's because either you should have scanned by the time you discovered that place or it is too soon. There isn't always a clear answer. Sometimes, it's just #Subnautica.
