Why do I randomly unlock blueprints for items???

It's probably because you're doing one of these things:

• Collecting a resource for the first time. This could unlock blueprint(s) that require that resource to be made.
• You made something new. An example of this would be the Mobile Vehicle Bay (which you probably haven't found yet). Once you make it, you then unlock the blueprint for Titanium Ingots.
• You entered a new area. An example of this would be when you enter your Drop Pod for the first time. You unlock blueprints once you do.

It's fine if you go there immediately. Keep in mind though that the goal is to go relatively deep (around 300m down), so you might want to get the High Capacity O2 Tank before you go. Either way, there are Oxygen Plants around that you can use when low on O2.

Lol i have a base in the crystal caves the big ol leviathans are just big annoying babies, hardcore btw not to flex but i got my save for hardcore on around 37 hours

The game gets real fun once you got to see the big monsters, i would like if hardcore was actually hard tho. The only fun survival game that i like because of the extreme challenge is "the long dark" on the hardest difficulty

But dont get me wrong even with my really high skill with games subnautica used to give me the creeps once i got to a point where i looked down and it was black, terrified. The eerieness of subnautica bz is the scary part, but you can just tell the shadow leviathans in the caves to frick off with a defense system or even a drill on a prawn suit

The game isnt scary anymore now that i know you can only go around 1000 meters deep and ive discovered all the leviathans. Dont get me wrong tho the crystal caves are a great base spot, lots of resources, natural beauty, and story stuff that i wont spoil

Do not get offended by this please, it is an ACTUAL and genuine question of interest.
But what makes people afraid of for example Leviathans in video games?
To me, even in the first SN, they were just part of the game and the only one that remotely made me mad or "bothered" was you-know-who xD (and that mostly only because it would fairly easily wreck my Sea-Moth xD)
in BZ most of them are tame in comparison at the very least they pale 😛
But I am genuinely curious to understand why it leads some folk to actually panic when hearing or seeing them, considering it is actually "just a game". I literally (on both games) just swam up to them, circled them to scan em or knifed them if they annoyed me.
Would really be interested in understanding this a little better!

Why do people get scared in movies? They are immersed in the movie. If you just have a scary movie in the background and glance occasionally all you’ll hear is screaming, but if you watch it the whole time you will find it scary
For some people they get really into the game (like me) so they probably feel more fear from leviathans. Also if you know all about leviathans beforehand then you won’t feel scared obviously

Personally sound helps me get immersed so hearing roars in the distance helps
