I fabricate all my copper into copper wire, silver into wiring kit and titanium into titanium ingots to save storage

You can always revert them back into their base material the recycler, start doing this after I had multiple lockers filled with titanium and copper

Also makes it easier to travel around with 2 storage modules and one fabricator

One Flex slot module depending on what you doing (teleporter, vehicle Bay, Aquarium,) that can be changed out

5 five modules plus makes it near impossible to actually drive even with the extra horsepower mod

I always found two storage modules was a little low until I realized I can with you so much things can be reduced in size and broken down when I return back to base, freed up tons of space

And yeah you can get the seatruck super quick because the map is much smaller than the first game and all the fragments are much closer to each other. And yes you may not run out of oxygen but I just used it as a sort of vehicle to just get back up to the surface
