but my ion battery is like 34% so i just swapped it out with a regular battery

no ... empty ... so first the solar drains (you can view the charge left in it) ... and then after it drains the current draw needs to still be greater than the solar panel output .... then the bio reactor will start to work

having 1 solar is good because it prevents bio kicking in for small amounts. but really all power is OP and easy to deal with. Especially if you don't run a moonpool

or water filters

so the solar can still empty during the day

and it uses the heat from the purple vents

which makes out at 30C
