Remove the perimeter defense module completely from the game.
Once you figured out how op it is nothing about the game is difficult anymore.

Rebreathers scrub out the co2 you exhale and turn it back into good air. Those kind of breathing devices are designed to be comfortable to breathe with. As opposed to the cloth mask they make people wear for covid which only restrict air flow.
