I typically use solar + a bioreactor, unless I can build a thermal reactor.
I never touch the nuclear reactor - it's too expensive to build and I don't need all the power. Also very much like in real life - Nuclear power plants are huge undertakings that cost extreme amounts of money.

I don't know how the developers intended you to deal with the shadow leviathans - in Subnautica you could use the stasis rifle and escape .. or outrun some of them.

But in Below Zero you are slower and the Shadow Leviathans are really fast so you can forget outrunning them and there is no stasis rifle.

I completed Below Zero today. It was good, but not as good as the first game IMO.
It didn't feel fully fleshed out and several locations felt bare and not part of a living world.

I did however like how ending sets up the possible beginning of a great third game in the series.

Or try to go on land .. lots of places with silver, gold, copper, titanium or magnetite on land.

With viruses you typically keep learning all you can about them so you are prepared if they ever resurface. Especially if they resurface in a mutated form.
They do not know for sure that the virus did not spread to other worlds - but they do know that they have never encountered the architects elsewhere so it's a possibility that the virus did get out and killed them.

And if it did it might have mutated.

Studying the virus in a controlled environment .. both current and previous versions of it, could be what would save the human race in the future if they encounter a mutated version.

Anyone else get their seatruck stuck in the moonpool and takes ages to bump it around to get it out again?

I think it's caused by building the moonpool in the extended prowling range of a large aggressive critter such as chelicerate, and it periodically goes out of its way to come and attack the seatruck in the moonpool, but I have not seen it actually happen yet.

It also seems to happen with multiple jellyfish around.

Not really a bug, but a very annoying feature. I usually eventually manage to drive it out to a position where the moonpool picks it up properly and everything's fine again but it can take a really long time.
