I think normally game runs on texture quality 2 on lowest quality. If you start a new game, click F8, click F3, then select texture quality to 1, it should lower graphics even more.

Auto saving isn't really necessary except when leaving the game. Everytime you die, you just spawn in your recently entered base or seatruck...

You don't need the Snowfox for the Ice Worms. It's the worst way to travel the Arctic Spires. Just use a P.R.A.W.N.

Yeah once you do it the first time it's easy. In the first hour of playtime my second time I had a Seatruck with a MK1 depth, a Prawn, and Alan. I also had the means to craft the Crapfox but.. ew.

When you get to the Arctic Spires, grapple to the ground and hold the grapple button and move around. It heavily enhances speed. It's a weird glitch.

every creature in my save despawned and the mercury dissapeared completely, quitting without saving fixed it

from that point forward I made sure there were still non-respawning creatures alive every time before saving

I lived in lilypads so it was pretty damn easy to check
