Yes, definitely. It takes a while to port a game over to Oculus, SteamVR, or any other ones.

i've used c# before. i'm not fluent, but there's some major issues:

1. development tools for it are expensive if you're not a student or someone only making open-source/private projects
2. development is fast, but runtime is slow (not as slow as python though)
3. the compiler in vs doesn't really work all that well. it only finds errors sometimes, and when there's an error it can't find, the program may freeze at a certain point in runtime and the compiler/debugger points you at a seemingly random, errorless line several hundred lines above or below the error.
