I have a prawn with grapple and a megabase in lilypads, I've done bits and pieces of the mercury 2 storyline, almost none of the on-land stuff except delta island and outpost zero, almost none of maida's storyline except meeting her, some Al-an stuff, and the deepest I've been is deep lilypads

The original had a grind issue. The cyclops was really cool but had practical issues. People were more into decorating it than actually using it, and they're notorious for getting stuck indefinitely.

Map is smaller but there's a much greater degree of caverns, crevices and small exploration spots, they definitely aimed at a more vertical exploration of the undersea world, but it is much more difficult to have appreciation for something that is not visibly/obviously large
