I am hit with an ocd paralysis, like i usually do in these kind of games. I am not sure how much stuff to take with me (and what stuff), because the purpose of my trip might change depending on the situation. Ofcourse I stock up with food and water and a few medkits too but @mortal imp mentioned taking titanium with me too, in case i decide to build.
And I still haven't decided on the location for my main base if this this is even the optimal way of doing this. Maybe the best way is to make small mini-bases, what do you guys think?

I've searched through the changelog, and I couldn't find any changes to the Thumper. I still find them to be incredibly useless because:
- They only last ~5 minutes (half an in-game day)
- In the first 10-20 seconds after deploying, Ice Worms can still spawn in its area (possibly a bug)
- Ice Worms can still attack you from outside the deployment area, and ice worms have a huge jump range, so 1/2 of the deployment area is still unsafe.
I can't think of any purpose for using them except for temporary deployment while you're doing stuff in the same place. They're useless during exploration.
Has anyone actually found a good use for them?

Honestly, I wouldn't even build foundations for external plant beds, unless you specifically WANT them outside. If you build a large room with an ACU or two in it, each has two 4x4 beds for water plants. And land plants can just grow indoors anyway.

There are some plants you actually need to harvest, so outdoor plant beds can be indeed useful, but also quite attractive (depending on personal taste). It is up to the player after all

Yeah, that is one issue of the ACU. One is not tall enough for creepvine. You have to have a stack of two, if you want interior creep beds.

And even if you DO want externals, again depending on taste, plant beds can be build on the roof of the moonpool, large room, and awkwardly on the multipurpose room.

If you really just go for what is needed, large rooms with ACU (two of them on top of each other) will do the job.

If you want some outdoor planting beds: I do.
If you want to build a bigger base: I do x2
If you want to go for what is most necessary: Not necessarily. (As Said before, ACU in Large rooms or multipupose rooms over two levels will do the job too, though at least 1x foundations should be considered then since it gives space for around 6 planting beds, which is definetely more ressource efficient than the ACUs and whats required for them)

the devs want you to stay out of the void, so they wouldn't let them grab you at all even with a cooldown, as getting grabbed only keeps you in the void longer
