As one of the .1% I agree that you should focus on the game in general over VR. I managed to finish the original subnautica totally in VR except when I had to use the cyclops (couldn't start it in VR). In my opinion it's 100% the best way to experience the game but I also understand not wanting to focus on it

You could get out and push. Stick a boomerang in the cab, on the accelerator.
