I put in spoilers for the others: ||In the Lilypad islands, there is a large mountain like rock formation. Somewhere in there at a depth of 200meters, there is reasearch base where you can scan some stuff, including a nuclear power plant||

it isn't that easy to find, but 200 meters are quite doable. YOu need to lookm around a bit. As I said, there is rock formation, that extends above the "usual" ground. THat is best where to start

which is true, unfortunately. I miss that too but the sea-truck with it's modules is an acceptable in between solution between these two vehicles, that (so far) served me well. I wish to have a cyclops as well but I respect the dev's decision and to be fair and realistic: The cyclops wouldn't have fit through most of the tunnels in below zero.

Many locations are... quite more narrow. It would be nearly impossible to maneuver the cyclops elsewhere, except the wide open water.

Building on land was something that I never tried in the first game, to be honest. It just seem quite okay in below zero though. Of course you need to find open space to do it. So far I just build a little base for building and powering a snow fox

Well, you have a lot of magnetit to spend... you can use thermal plants in the crystal caves. Some locations are 30°, which is enough to power a thermal plant, but since it i just barely enough, you need around 10 to 20 thermal plants, to have a reasonable energy supply
