honestly I just hate how few purely decorative plants I can grow

there’s so many pretty plants in the game, and yet the only purely decorative ones are 3 that were also in Subnautica

anyways I came here partially to ask how to make a ||Shadow Leviathan drop my Prawn suit so it doesn’t go from 100 to 0 in one grapple|| because all the tips online were just how to kill one, and I specifically built my base where it is so I could see this leviathan as it patrols.

ok so that’s a bug, and no actually, Switch 2 edition. Hoping it won’t crash every like 5 minutes late game like it started to when i first played the switch version (back when it first came out)

I guess I’ll just keep saving before doing anything actually within its range with the suit, my base is right at the edge of where it would aggro, a little closer than intended since it sometimes notices me when I leave

they really are a gorgeous leviathan after all, I had to make sure I would have as good a view as possible while being safe

now I just have the unfixable problem of my fishtanks not having good plant variety, but oh well, I just can hope Subnautica 2 doesn’t have that issue. ~~ok technically it will but that’s only because of the word plant~~

my brain is dumb af, i looked at this and my brain went "ok, guess im going to the lily pads, cool, i've never been there!", i just spent like 1.5-2 hours in the lily pads looking for sea truck fragments

i think it was worth it tho, scanned 2 (technically 3 but one was in a different place, not the lily pad place) leviathans, and 4 other fish, scanned 3 different lily pad things, and 1 material, but did die by drowning when i was trying to scan the squidshark though..

and after attemping to go actually find sea truck parts at the purple vents, my brain is terrible at direction and i went to the thermal spires and got eaten alive by a chelicerate (first time seeing it so congrates to me i guess?), yay me...anyway, im tired and done for the day, maybe i'll try to actually go to the purple vents tomarrow, im so worn out from playing subnautica all day lol

I wish the agressive creature AI was more... Unique. Everything just patrols an area and goes towards you when you get close. In the first subnautica, crabsnakes are territorial and go into their houses, only attacking if you get close. Stalkers can take a fish from your hand and bring back a metal salvage. Reapers can stalk you, being quiet once it starts notices you and only roars once it is right next to you. Crabsquids attack lights. But the agressive fauna (mainly underwater) just kinda patrols and thats it. Sure it has unique attack animations but not unique AI.

Also sandsharks hide in sand. Brutesharks just kinda... Do nothing. Cryptos are just kinda .. Loud? Not really anything new. Squidsharks patrol and only go up to you like other things. Only unique about those are that they disable the seatruck (and prawn I think) when biting.

I mean, sure its similar but each creature has something special. like i said, crabsquids hate light, crabsnakes are territorial and hide in their home, sandsharks hide in the sand, reapers stalk you, sea dragons can breath FIRE on you
