It's a matter of preference no game in the series is bad they just made some decisions with BZ that make it either better or worse depending on what you think about them

I like BZ but I never found it to be replayable like the original SN

People hated the voiced protagonist deal and Al-An's commentary. I liked it. It's no different than, say, the Batman Arkham games, or Middle Earth: Shadow of War, and people loved these games.

But it was originally designed to be a much smaller game, and that came through in the end. Many many parts just sort of thrown together. Like the Sam Ayou storyline has nothing to do with ||Al-An's||, and you can beat the entire game without even visiting certain biomes or places like the ||Phi Robotics Site, the Icebergs, or the Koppa Mining Site||. You don't even have to meet ||Marguerita Maida||.

I disagree. OG could be terrifying at times, whereas i tried to play SBZ and had to TURN MY BRIGHTNESS DOWN to make it even a fraction as terrifying

The BZ reapers were more aggressive and less cartoonish, but there were no wide open spaces for them to come out of and grab you. The seatruck was also a little too tough, and you could get the defense system fairly quickly.

ok we manage to get the snowfox hoverbike stuck and we cant pick it up or ride it or move it but its in the way where we cant destroy the pad

hot take but BZ has a lot of biomes that are prettier than the sn1 biomes (i love both but dang the deep twisty bridges in vr look enchanting)

BZ is beautiful but they messed it up by making everything close quarters so you don't really feel vulnerable like you would behind the aurora in sn1 for example.

It was an incredibly fun playthrough but just not scary. more laid back

Subnautica: Below Zero honestly isn’t bad, but it doesn’t hit the same as the first game. The map feels smaller, the fear factor is way lower, and a lot of the creatures just aren’t as memorable. The original made you feel completely alone and terrified in the ocean, while Below Zero talks to you constantly and kinda kills that isolation vibe. Even the leviathans don’t feel as threatening compared to stuff like the Reaper Leviathan. It’s still fun, but it feels more like a DLC stretched into a full game than a true sequel.

she didn't die to kharaa do to the reaper eating alot of peepers the peepers that have enzym 42 (peepers get sent down to the sea emperor where they get the enzym and go back to the surface or whereever this happens in tubes all over subnautica's map)
