the safest biome i can think of that has a lot of building space is probably lilypads. The only real threats are a few squidsharks but they patrol really small areas compared to the size of the biome and they're fairly easy to deal with using the seatruck perimiter defense. it is kinda deep but i reckon with the mark 1 you can get down there pretty easy

It’s a little bit south of east, not directly east, yeah the instructions could be a little better.
But if you go too far, you’re in the void. It is really the last iceberg out there, and there are light sticks on it, so you know when you’re in the right place

Also, it’s not like you’re swimming out there, you should have the seatruck, so exploring shouldn’t be too much of a chore.
Granted, the weather, along with perhaps bad luck if it were nighttime, I can understand those can make it a pain at times (although you should see the lights better at night, so bit of trade off there).
I didn’t typically make the sleeper unit, but that would help if you had it to skip some weather/night at least😅

I have an old, old picture, it’s not the best one, but I don’t often use vertical connectors in my bases (nothing wrong with them, I just don’t have a lot of use for them since I put ladders inside my bases). But they are good for if you want ladders to connect tubes, rather than rooms built in adjacent layers to each other (if that makes sense).

Navigate your seatruck to the Pilot's Last Known Position beacon. Exit the seatruck and pick up the Afterburner upgrade which is directly beneath you. Starting at the nest you just scanned, swim precisely SW about 80-ish meters. do NOT move up or down more than a few meters - you want to stay at basically the same depth as the first nest. This should bring you to a Horsepower upgrade - scan it and return to your seatruck. From the PLKP, navigate precisely NE in a straight line. Stay pretty close to the sea floor but above any actual caves. Pretty soon you will arrive at an opening down into the caves. you want to stop at the FIRST opening you see after leaving the PLKP area. Exit your seatruck and again swim directly downwards to find another Afterburner upgrade (it'll be at approximately 240 meters depth). From this nest, swim precisely East for a bit - again staying at close to the same depth. Pretty soon you should reach another Horsepower upgrade. Scan it and return to your seatruck.

I was driving around with my snowfox and found a ||spy pengling|| entrance. I got 2 ion cubes from there. And when I return my snowfox dissapeared. And it looks like it got blown off by a steam vent, and now it's stuck in an ice ceiling. I can't reach it, it's too high. So the only solution is to give up the ion cubes by reloading a save... The end.
