Above the phi robotics lab, there is a path that leads to a small Cliff. You'll have to jump over it with the prawn suit or snow fox.. that will take you to the glacial basin, which is where the infected leviathan is

You'll have to do more exploring to find it, but if you keep heading south west, you should make it okay

I'm afraid you're out of luck then. After certain events, the game will show artifact locations and stuff, but in general you have to pay close attention to the map and use your arsenal to not get lost. The game isn't interested in holding your hand.

That thing is just frail as paper and has a tendancy of phasing to the floor or getting stuck on some Geometry as i was being chased sway by Snow Stalkers and Ice Worms 🫠

Something similar happened to me once. I built my base in the Lilypads and a bruteshark got beached on my front porch. I tried to move it back into the water with my propulsion cannon, but it was too heavy. It also bit me a couple times.
Eventually I used my Prawn Suit grapple arm to try and pull it into the water but it died in the process somehow
