Yo guys, I put a base down by the northern ventgarden where I get a great view of the Chelicerate, Ventgarden, and the glow whales. But I ended up getting grabbed by the Chelicerate and shocked it, then it ran a biome away to the world's edge and it won't come back. Will it eventually pathfind back to its world spawn or did I just lose my great view?

Just finished below zero. I have a fair few criticisms, but I can't imagine I'll say anything that hasn't already been said. I did enjoy it overall though. If the plot didn't suck I think I would've loved it. Seatruck was great. It's not quite the seamoth but it's still a fun vehicle, and I love how you can customize it. It's almost like a cyclops upgrade to me, just way better. I wish the red crystal cave area had a little more going on? But oh well, not every biome can be jam packed with interesting stuff I guess. Solid 6.5, maybe a 7/10 experience for me.

But if you spawn at the beginning that means scene-objects.bin is corrupted.

And from my experience when that happens it's usually empty.

No data at all, just a bunch of null bytes.

That's why you can confirm it by opening that file with notepad.

If you have a HDD you could try a file recovery software but don't expect a miracle.

If you have a SSD forget about it.

you get instructions on how to do stuff and theres a map unlike the first game

its still good imo especially with area's like the ||small precursor base with the portal thingie|| in the arctic giving more world building

a lot of the world building in subnautica like the plant diversity feels like things that were made by accident or were a byproduct of the game being built from the top down

Yeah it is a bit of a hassle. It only works when you are in the “falling” state, so you have to do short hops or use the grapple

if you grapple to the ground at max length it'll be insanely fast. also the grapple arm cooldown in BZ starts once you use it, unlike in sn1 where it starts when you you get it back, so it's even more powerful
