Multiple people have answered that question, If you cant find it you either already picked it up or its a bug, if you really need it just start a new save

Honestly, I didn't even use it. The only thing I built aside the snowfox (which was done right before the ending) was the Sea Truck and the one thing that let's you tether yourself. And that was mainly a get out of jail free card.

Yes, everything in general is slower. And the grapple arm doesn’t carry your speed anymore

If you want to feel fast again, move diagonally while falling with the prawn to sort of glide with it

Overall I liked the Cyclops more as well, for that and other reasons. But from a game design standpoint I understand why they made the change. The Seatruck gives an incremental progression of capability. The Seamoth/Cyclops split basically made a large, awkward, mid-game gap where the utility / protection you had access to didn't improve much.

The Seatruck also creates a clever tradeoff situation between mobility+speed vs. utility that the player has to navigate. That kind of dynamic is the sort of thing game designers love to add.

I think the big dissatisfying factor with the Seatruck is that the Cyclops was sort of an end-game reward. You get that, toss in some ion power cells, range upgrade, maybe add the shields and sonar, and suddenly you're the king of the ocean. It feels like a payoff for having made it that far. The Seatruck removes that sense of accomplishment in favor of a smoother range of progression and a little more strategic tension during the midgame.

I tried using the SeaTruck but I used it more for a beacon and diving bell than as intended. The map is small enough where I spent most of my time using the Seaglide.

I think the only modules I used was the teleporter and the docking (used the former more than the latter).

I mean I dont /hate/ it. Just never had a proper usage.

If that's your play style, it totally makes sense that you'd not get much value out of it. I wound up using two storage modules, and the docking module and it became a mobile buffer to let me do more resource gathering with fewer round-trips. I debated adding a fabricator module to collapse titanium => ingots, quartz => glass so I could make even fewer round-trips. Ultimately I decided that I needed a scanner room away from my main base, so it was easier to just have a micro-base I could break down and fit into the Seatruck's storage.

It has a scanner room w/ range upgrades, bioreactor + solar panel / thermal generators, battery and power cell charger, fabricator, and a few freestanding cabinets. So I could set it up in a region, scan for resources, fill the Seatruck / PRAWN suit inventory to the brim, bring them back to the satellite base, collapse them down to take less space, wash-rinse-repeat until I have enough glass/ingots to fill the Seatruck + PRAWN suite, then shuttle those back to my main base in one go. Then, when I'd exhausted the resources in an area, and I've shipped everything gathered back to my main base, I break it all down, move to a new area, and set it up again.

Granted that I could do the exact same thing with a Cyclops, and probably make even fewer trips since I could almost certainly pack more storage in the Cyclops than I could reasonably do with a Seatruck (I could add more storage modules of course, but with three modules it already felt sluggish even with the booster -- and I never found a second blueprint for the HP upgrade).

So, for my play style it was definitely of value -- albeit less than the Cyclops would have been.
