found out a very nice trick to conserve storage in your lockers or when u got a fabricator and storage module in sea truck

you can take stuff you got like titanium or copper ore, then turn the titanium into ingots/floating pump and the copper ore into copper wire, and when you are home you can recycle them into the original material when u need!

The only things you mentioned consuming power are the Seatruck Dock / moonpool as they recharge docked vehicles.

Your power sources should be enough for this.

You imagine the only reactor being used is a nuclear reactor, and it's used at its full capacity all the time.

Because you won't use it all the time. Like even if you have one of them totally depleted you'll only use the 5 units per second for 200 seconds.

So even if it outrates the input you will just use the battery inside the reactor.

In this game you have a control room, you'll be able to see the input / output rates.

You can play BZ before OG. There's only a tad bit of recall to the OG in the beginning. Namely the bacteria being cured. Otherwise, it's a standalone story. 😁

each one reduces the speed penalty by 1 more module, so mk3 with 5 modules is the same speed as mk1 with 3 modules or none with 2 modules

Same here. I’m 18 hours into my first playthrough. Started playing it because it fit with the winter weather.

I played Subnautica first and spent a few months debating if I should play Below Zero or not.

I think it’s fun so far but I’m not paying much attention to the story.
Fun game, but not the life-changing experience of Subnautica. I really like the soundtrack a lot.

BZ has a few quality of life changes, mainly to do with interface or new tools.
Land bases are a lot more convenient
Only 1 major vehicle in this game, but it's even more customizable than the cyclops!

There is a mod, it seems like it works pretty well but I can't get it working on Linux so i've never been able to test. There is a whole discord server for it.

The story isn't exactly "trash". What's the complaint--especially mine--is how easily you can miss either story. There's 2 storylines that run parallel to each other but never quite intertwine. GIving the feeling that the writers couldn't agree on which direction to take it and thus just said "screw it" and put both in there.
