It's the ground sampler, the entrance was somewhere in purple vents or lilypads. I haven't even found outpost Zero
how would i improve on this outdoor growbed setup
Make it more organized
Everything is scattered around
Put them in groups of plant types
Kelp with kelp and so on
they are it just alternates
Would look better
Oh that pov looks much better
Oh wait you dont have gel sack
You should put some its useful
RIGHT I FORGOT
i knew i was forgetting something
dont rush it
the more time u take the better the game is
dude im so proud of this base
it looks so good
especially the living space
Yeah that was me too with mu base
3-4 days
Same same
I actually built my base in the same biome as urs
On top of the crack/cave that leads to ||crystal caves||
was urs on the edge of the lilypads biome? near that small scatter of alterra boxes?
ohh ok so near the chelicerate
Yeah
can i see what it looked like
I got jumpscared once
Its like midnight cant rn sorry
But it wasnt that big
It was medium
But it had a good layout and i liked it
having the mini large rooms would be SO GOOD
would be the best base piece in the game
yk those rooms in ||omega, phi robotics, etc.|| where its a large room but instead of 4x2 its 3x2
Oh
Yeah those look cool
mini large rooms >>> regular large rooms
I like smol bases
i can agree
Like big enough so you can use it
compact bases that still look sleek
But smol enough that its cute and sleek
i couldnt pull that off with this one cuz i needed so many modules and rooms
Yeah
this is my main base
Ig if i make a new playthrough i could ditch the bed so i dont have to make a larger one
exterior
So i can have a cute lil base
Thats nice
the living space is so good
What yall thinking ab making a base surrounding the ventigarden leviathan
That sounds like a heck of a task
But would be cool
Like not fully but maybe like one ring and then
Wait brb lemme draw smth
I mean the purple is an observatory the white is the lader yk and then pretend the yellow lone is just a circle around it
Lol
Thats fascinating
Professional artist
Get on the grind my guy
Which song you jamin out to
all of them
My personal fav is dont hold your breath
valid
And take a dive
Why
i like the way u think
Aha
which bed should i use
wait the seatruck has an engine efficiency module?
seems like it's only available in creative mode tho
Bummer
well i mean it's not like i ever needed it.
though I was surprised the snowfox had upgrades. I'll look for those
Snowfox is literally the most situational vehicle ever
The Seatruck is by far my favorite vehicle in either Subnautica or Below Zero. It's versatile, compact, durable, and energy-efficient, plus you can adapt and customize it for a variety of different tasks.
This survival or creative?
survival
W
How to get grappling arm foe PRAWN?
Lillypads caves inside sea monkey nests
btw does prawn improve prawn speed?
in bz
The prawn got a debuff in below zero
is it better for land?
No
It's just worse in general. It's movement got slowed and it takes jump when you fall
the grapple arm has been nerfed. your speed doesn't carry over when you let go of the grapple.
but the prawn with jump jets feels pretty good to move around in
and on land if you tap the jump button you go insanely fast
Does anyone know why my base lights sometimes flicker a bit
Dead chat
i much prefer using the prawn than the snowfox
even if it runs out of power much quicker
I went for the first time in the || crystal caves ||, but the || shadow leviathan || does a lot of damage to my seatruck, and my || perimeter defense system || doesn't work at all on him. Am I using the || perimeter defense system || wrong or are there more ways to avoid him?
If you go into the crytal caves with a prawn its much easier to hide in cracks so the leviathan doesnt get you
It does work, just wait for it to grab hold of your seatruck and then zap it
Basically giving it access to all your files on all disks
This is the popup I get
The only useful info in the log I could find was this line: Saving 27 batches to /var/folders/b8/pvmppvnx4vn85zx5y4s3db280000gn/T/unity.Unknown Worlds.SubnauticaZero/TempSave/tmp287666
Definitively not /usr/share. Does the two folders have read and write permissions?
Show me the result of ls -l /var/folders/b8/pvmppvnx4vn85zx5y4s3db280000gn/T/unity.Unknown Worlds.SubnauticaZero/ and the same with the other.
how can i dodge/ deal with chelicerates easily?
ls -l /var/folders/b8/pvmppvnx4vn85zx5y4s3db280000gn/T/unity.Unknown\ Worlds.SubnauticaZero/: total 0, ls -l /Volumes/T7/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/SubnauticaZero/SubnauticaZero.app/SNAppData/SavedGames: total 1024 drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 12:08 options drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 12:08 slot0000 drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 12:21 slot0001 -rwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 52 Aug 21 09:01 steam_autocloud.vdf.
Right sorry -a as well for the first one.
The /var/folders one has RW for my user, R for all the others. As for the other one (the .app), it just says Custom Access
ls -la /var/folders/b8/pvmppvnx4vn85zx5y4s3db280000gn/T/unity.Unknown\ Worlds.SubnauticaZero/ total 0 drwxr-xr-x@ 2 samuliak staff 64 Aug 21 09:03 . drwx------@ 427 samuliak staff 13664 Aug 21 11:02 ..
You have extended attributes with the @ at the end (that you can see with xattr -l I guess?), I assume you launch the game with the same user?
I launch it from samuliak if that's what your asking
The temporary save folder is used when you're in a world. You could check what it contains when you are in the game.
See if you don't see something suspicious with the permissions and ownership.
And when does it save to .app then?
When you save manually.
I see that it saves to that tmp location when I hit save.
No, it's the other way around.
Well I see all the files there (even the thumbnail)
The temporary save folder is used to keep track of things in your world, and when you hit the save button its content is copied over to the installation folder.
So its like autosave or what?
Kind of, I believe that's what the mobile version uses as an auto-save.
Anyway, I get a different popup now. .DS_Store
The file differs but the folders are the same.
Yeah
Why would it try to access .DS_Store tho...
Perhaps its just iterating over all files or smh
It probably does indeed.
Aside from that Custom access to the .app itself, I cannot think of a reasonable cause to all of this
The answer is perhaps in the extended attributes, or you have something else that has a lock on the files.
When the game tries to access them.
Tried this: ls -la /Volumes/T7/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/SubnauticaZero/SubnauticaZero.app total 1536 drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 11:59 . drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 11:51 .. -rwx------ 1 samuliak staff 4096 Aug 9 11:59 ._Contents -rwx------ 1 samuliak staff 4096 Aug 9 12:08 ._SNAppData drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 11:59 Contents drwx------@ 1 samuliak staff 131072 Aug 9 12:08 SNAppData. Is there anything suspicious?
I am not familiar with Mac OS, I don't understand what the hidden files are for, or why they don't seem to have extended attributes whereas the other have, but I don't particularly find it suspicious, no.
Since you see files and folder being created in the temporary save folder and if you see modified files in SNAppData/SavedGames it's probably something else that has the files opened.
Nothing in SNAppData/SavedGames is modified except for some steam_autocloud.vdf
Perhaps I could just try reinstalling the whole game
You check the files inside too? Not just the folder?
Well yes
Nothing has been modified since I last successfully saved almost 2 weeks ago
Nothing relevant in the ownership, extended attributes (xattr -l) and permissions of the slot0001 folder?
It says I can read and write it. xattr -l /Volumes/T7/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/SubnauticaZero/SubnauticaZero.app/SNAppData/SavedGames/slot0001 com.apple.provenance: (idk if I was meant to run it)
But I am just going to reinstall
Thank you for your time and help!
Yes it's probably the reason.
What were all the vehicles in sub bz?
Seatruck, prawn and snowfox
Thanks, it just forgot abt the snowfox
the Seaglide is also [kinda] a vehicle, yes?
Not really its like gear?
To make you go faster
Still better than just swimming ... I guess
Anyway, once I get the Seatruck, all others are forgotten - it's my new fave
Seatruck is slugish and annoying imo
Seamoth wouldve been better in this game since theres a lot of tight spots in this map
Anyone have win 11 on this game?
I know this is random af but I just started Sub BZ and I just wanted to ask when I get a better oxygen tank. I'm still at 75 and it's infuriating. I've found ||the delta station/base, Marguerite's base and I'm at the Mercury II wreck (the PDA mentioned stern and bow so there might be two sections) and I do not feel comfortable going in there with 75 oxygen.|| Should I already have a better one? Am I just missing out? I don't mind spoilers but I am trying to go in as blind as possible (In comparison to the first game).
Forgot to mention I found ||AL-AN||
So there are 2 oxygen tank upgrades. You've actually been to the areas you can get both you must've just missed them:
High Capacity Tank: ||In the twisty bridges area before where you meet AL-AN there are 2 databoxes on 2 man-made foundations. 1 has the tank and the other has the rebreather. The exact coords for the tank are (-253, -124, -250) if you don't feel like looking around for it||
Ultra-High Capacity Tank (Requires High Capacity Tank and Modification Station): ||Scanned from fragments in the Sea Monkey nests in the Lilypad Biome caves (the cave network before Marguerite's base should have a few)||
Thank you so much. 75 seconds of oxygen gets so tedious, especially with the "30 seconds of oxygen left" every 5 seconds.
You should have a beacon for the Alien Distress Call, ||have a swim around there, you’ll spot some Alterra construction in two areas.||
Did they remove the prawn thruster upgrade in the 2025 update, because I can't find it, maybe I'm just blind I vent through the koppa mining site like 3 times and didn't find it
it should not be removed
Why is he in that biome😭 😭 😭
He was fleeing from me
But he could not escape
Repair your thing man
I did once he died. Couldn't risk stopping to fix it and letting him escape
Do u happen to know where it is?
I believe there's a full module at ||koppa mine, in a console by the parked prawns||
It’s still there, I started a new game with the current update and already collected it.
Same place it’s always been.
Is anyone else ready for the second Subnautica I meant
Yea, u are right, I'm just absolutely blind, sorry and thanks
Thank you for giving me a new idea
Are you using mods or something
Yea just some QOL. But the Seatruck being a weapon of mass destruction is just vanilla mechanics that's not part of the mods
the king's chariot cannot be stopped
Craft an air bladder
I did. It was one of the first things I made (as well as the first game) but my depth was still limited
Managed to get the high capacity tank so I'm a bit better off now thankfully
Update: It works
I never made the air bladder in either game.
sad, since it's good now. Esp. early game
It's pretty clutch to have pre-seaglide
Seaglide can be had pretty early if you look around. It’s my first goal.
bladder is great after also. And inside a wreck
Air bladder is really useful pre vehicle
Probably true. I just never saw a need for it.
I guess that's fair
I think there's more news for it in below zero because it starts off deeper than Subnautica
Despite being shallower in general
air bladder is only good if there isn't anything blocking you above, and if you have the rebreather.
which was why I had a little trouble using it in below zero
You can also just grab 15s of air from it. 20? Idk
Hey guys
Aside from utility the air bladder also rockets you into the air in Below Zero if you rise from deep enough
Yeah I've ended up basically flying
Subnautica 1 too with living large
1

i got bz yesterday and i lowk don’t know what to do i js be drowning
swear u drown twice as fast in bz
i like glow whale😛
icebreaker leviathan
Guys, what's the best things to put on the seatruck for survival?
Just start resource collecting. Belo zero holds your hand a lot more with the story.
How to place movable transport builder? It doesnt opens whereewer I drop it
imo storage and fabricator are most useful. Aquarium collects fish, so all you need to worry about is water
Upgrade-wise, the perimeter defence deals with any threats
So is there no point of the bed
Put it in your hand and deploy it, dropping doesn’t work
The bed lets you skip nights, but that’s pretty situational
Can i play below zero on mobile
below zero is not on mobile
Anyone got any idea why it won't connect?
An I section doesn't connect to a multi-purpose room. If you're trying to add another floor, use a vertical connector and connect it to another I compartment. Then connect the multipurpose room to the I compartment
TL:DR you can't connect those rooms like that
Ohh okay thank you
Hey guys. considering buying Below Zero. Does it continue any of the story of S1, or is it just a whole new thing on the same planet?
You missed all time hogh discount 75% on steam and epic by a couple of days😬
WHATT?? gah! I had it on my list to be notified when it was on sale
I wanted to test the below zero early access build, and used the ea code in steam, but when trying to launch the game I get this...Any ideas?
new story with some connections to the first
oh cool. Thank you!
You know its bad when even mika doesn't know what to do
Maybe try asking a dev when they come online?
Install this
https://aka.ms/vs/15/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
Note that the domain is microsoft. Safe
Is the squidshark a leviathan or not because in its PDA entry it says it's a leviathan at the smaller end of the scale but it's not in the "leviathans" category in the databank
"The word "leviathan" has come to refer to any sea monster, and from the early 17th century has also been used to refer to overwhelmingly powerful people or things, comparable to Behemoth, also a biblical term."
Wikipedia.
So, a Leviathan is just a big and strong sea creature.
"Microsoft, Safe" now there's two words that don't fit together.
The words fit fairly well together xD
Oh, my sweet summer child.
Considering how widely used it is, there are certainly far more unsafe things to use
Just out of curiosity, how many of you build all the seatruck modules? How many build multiple storage modules? What’s your favorite configuration?
I just started so I've only got the base one 😭
You’ll get there! 🙂
Hopefully 🙏
I got one of every module just because I love the seatruck
I always made trips back to base so I only needed one storage module
And I arrange them in obtained order
I usually build them all because I’m a completionist. But then I’m annoyed by how slow and unmanuverable it is. So this time I’m trying just the storage module and docking module, and seeing how I like that.
My favorite config is cab-aquarium-fabricator ... I call that one the 'chow wagon'
You can also look up the seatruck horsepower upgrade on the wiki, it has a chart for how fast the truck goes with different amounts of modules attached (with and without the upgrade)
That is useful, thanks.
Thanks...but trying to install that gave the same error message🤯 I'll look for microsoft help forums
Okay so I've been saving for ages and I'm gonna get my new Xbox soon is it worth it to buy bz when I already have subnautica??
Yes
Its not a bad game but could be better
Its worth it
I've heard that robins yapping is really annoying
I will get it though because it does look nice
Its not that annoying
my only issue is that the dialogue makes me cringe.
other than that I didn't mind a few extra voices as I explored, mostly because I was too focused to pay attention to any of it
and the pda is unfunny
Pda voice got nerfed
I think the pda voice is objectively fine, the voice filter actually complements the indian accent
but the dialogue reeks of "the unfunny guy telling a joke while trying not to offend anyone"
True ig but old pda voice was really good
BZ is gorgeous. I’m replaying right now, and between the biome designs, weather, auroras, new fish & plants, visually it’s terrific.
This update to both subnautica games is causing major performance issues
I could run below zero at a solid 60 FPS and keep the temperature of my steam deck around 70C now its barely reaching 40 FPS and its hovering around 80C
What happened with this update that its doing this and its also eating my battery life too
The minutes are counting down like seconds and I know its not my steam deck that's at fault
Concerning. Maybe graphics options changed on you
I think there wasn't an intentional increase in graphics. Maybe some options were added, so that you are on defaults now
Nope nothing was changed its all the same its just this update causing performance issues
A friend of mine also is having the same issue on their PC for some reason this update that got pushed is causing the game to run badly
Honestly this update was NOT worth it and I wish I hadn't updated
ok if you have the same steam options, change beta branch on the game to Legacy
and I hope that will still load your save
I think i am on legacy with below zero?
if you were before now, you did not get the update installed
Legacy will remove the update
I know this might not be possible but imagine if the sea monkey steals your PDA tablet
mod idea go brrrrrrr
I would get that mod
why does the sea monkey
because sea monkey
sea monkey see, sea monkey do
Bird stealing marios hat moment
Whats yalls favourite creature in BZ?
Straight bars
|| || fish
I love squidsharks, even though they don’t make a great deal of sense.
regular Chelicerate. I like its red color, and it looks really smooth and streamlined
Very based opinions yall
I have a lot of friendly squidsharks swimming around my base lol
Because I bred them like crazy
oh yeah today I discovered swim charge fins don't give you a speed boost.
I'm switching to other fins.
The ones that charge batteries right?
Goated for seaglide use
Very good opinion too imo
I do like the leviathans of bz
If I had to pick the best thing from bz, then its the flora and fauna
the ||shadow leviathan|| is a mixed bag for me. its color scheme and tail are amazing, but its body is all wack
True, I do love it too though
And Vent Garden was peak
I wished there was more to it though
Seems so pointless. But the moment in which I found it was one of the greatest moments I had in all of Subnautica I swear
Mainly because Ive been spoiled the heck out of Subnautica 1
the music in that area also fits well too
Might I suggest that you put that in spoiler tags? I'd say it's late game. Anyway, what do you think is wrong with its body?
Its body makes me think of bugs while its tail makes me think of eels
is multiplayer for below zero much more stable?
You can hatch pengwing eggs or pick up penglings. Inside base they can be in alien containment (not sure if aquarium works too). Seatruck has aquarium module, which you could test if you can put penglings in
@eternal garnet No luck...seems like the vc redistributable installation error is fairly common (problem is the missing msi file...)
Gonna convert all my batteries to ion now that I ditched swim charge fins
Swim charge fins work also with ion batteries 🤷♂️
But I’m slow
Use seaglide🤷♂️
i lowkey don’t know what to do send help 💔
||i found the delta station dock||
creatures in this solo the original subnautica tho
I need help finding outpost zero, can someone help?
North from Delta station, as you can see on the Alterra facilities map. Need to dive under the ice to get there
Can I add you as a temporary contact?
I need help finding outpost zero, can someone else help?
I'd say start near where you first enter the water in the Shallow Twisty Bridges, then continue on underneath the ice shelf, away from the Emergency Supply Cache.
There's a PDA log called "I'm sorry about your sister." I'd listen to that.
Go north (toward the mountain, if its visible) until you hit the ice shelf, then work your way underwater along the shelf toward the east until you see a tunnel through the rock. There will be icicles hanging down from the ice sheet overhead next to the tunnel.
How did precursors got nearly extinct if they can just transfer their mind to other bodies?
We don’t actually know if they went (nearly) extinct, or if they’re all just sitting inside storage cubes. We’re told of ||billions of deaths||, but I’ve always thought that just meant their corporeal forms. One of the reasons ||AL-AN heads back home at the end|| is to find out.
how to hide few words to prevent spoilers?
put || on both sides
for example, there are some alien goods in a random cave in the ||arctic spires||
also does anyone know how the scanner room range upgrade works
BZ's scanner room uses it normally (bigger hologram map and scans it too), but S1 only expands the hologram map and doesn't scan anything there

||the shadow leviathan|| escaped. its near ||marguerit's base|| i think its time to restart
that's terribly dangerous
||the shadow leviathan doesn't stand a chance against marguerit||
I think I'll got the snow stalker fur..
You need the robot to collect it….
you means prawn suit?
or the penguin
Penguin
Pengi-bot FTW
why am i finding more fragments for the vehicle than the actual vehicle bay
You see them better I guess. But the game spawns more fragments for the latter.
Just think of all the titanium
ok
I don’t know if the penguin bot even works on dead stalkers, You killed that poor one for no reason (maybe)
I killed that cuz I think I'll get the stalker fur
the sea truck is so underwhelming i can’t
i have a bug where i cant go into the life pod
It gets better with module/parts
it just broke my game
i respawned in it but when i tried moving i like flew out and the oceans drained now
like i’m js here walking around on the ocean floor
idk this is lowkey fun im not drowning
squid shark has the advantage on me now
the map feels sooo much bigger when ur walking around
Try the unstuck button.
i died of fall damage 💔
where is best to build my base?
I love this freaking game
Near delta base because its kinda at the center of the map
And youll have a lot of important biomes near you
u call me freaky, but u dont know I burned a cundle egg..
Huh
I like between the twisty bridges and kelp forest, near the thermal spires
I’ve just found on a recent playhthrough that you can A. Park a base directly on top of ||Maraguerite’s base||, or in the chamber next door, which is very pretty. Lots of bioluminescent thermal vents.
Ecological dead zone
Are you talking about the passage that goes toward her thermal plants?
Aight
Yes, that’s the one.
Hi! I noticed that BZ got a bugfix including something with the iceworm, does this mean the snowfox issues are resolved?
Yeah, it has been improved
Yay!
I don’t know how it was pre update but from what I played post update, the snowfox felt fine
How do i get gold again in BZ i forget
Calaverite Outcrop
they look like sandstone
go to the kelp forest caves, they have some
nice
This game is great but i miss "welcome aboard captain, all systems onLINE"
The sea truck is really cool but the cyclops is hard to beat
Though they serve different functions. Sea truck is flexible, but the cyclops feel very strong, inflexible and serious
Do you guys think one day we can get Below Zero on Android too?
Any tips for someone that’s just starting BZ?
Explore, read pda, scan everything
Why are Brute sharks so agressive 😭 whenever I leave my base I instantly get attacked
I've been known to drop an outpost there, but the main attraction for me is the minerals all around, and of course, lack of predators
Idk i dont think it was a big enough success for a mobile version
Didnt that biome had a leviathen
hii, anyone knows how to fix this??
I guess I could remove the poster with your global-objects.bin, otherwise no.
how?
You would have to share the file.
like the game file? sorry i have no idea on this stuff
Yes, the save file.
which one?
This one.
thanks a lot!
What plant is most effective for a bioreactor in below zero and where can it be found?
I use ribbon plants. they're easy to obtain, and you can farm them.
root globules give much more energy but you can only get them in caves under the kelp forests
Can I grow that globules?
No but if you're patient you can get them from the seamonkey.
If you want a painless way go with the gel sacks.
If you’re looking for sustainability then Arctic Peepers are the way to go. Just put 2 in a large aquarium and let them reproduce
I just killed a shadow leviathan, it was very underwhelming actually. And went on forever
What method did you use that went on forever
I grappled on it and drilled in it
I mean yeah, the punch does 50 damage at once while the drill only does 30 per second
But its easier with the drill
I just gotta hold down the button and I dont need to aim
My favorite method is to put 1 or 2 pepper plants in the same room as the bioreactor, the peppers will sustain it well and Robin can eat them also
Hi, i've played about 9-10 hours so far and haven't gone onto land yet (I don't count delta station), am I supposed to go there already or keep following Alan's waymarks
The story is not linear: you can choose where to go at what point
I just killed a snow stalker to get in their cave but it had like 10 cubs 😭 im a monster. Poor cubs are gonna grow up without a mother
Has anyone used the self-destruct option on the spy pengling? I never have, and I was wondering why it was even an option.
i did once just cuz i was curious
From the drop pod which direction and how far is the mercury ||
all you'll ever need
(warning: massive spoiler potential)
https://mapgenie.io/subnautica-below-zero this one's better for waypoints and such
Why there's no compass display 😭
Is that going South?
you can't do that becuase there are three drop pod spawn locations
<@&85343211593166848>
could anyone tell me where i can find gold ore or is it in limestone?
calaverite outcrops
thanks
guys im new to below zero and i want to know here i can get diamond and lead, im struggling a lot to find them 🙏
Lead can be found in galena [a dark grey rock] and diamonds can be found in ||deep twisty bridges||
got it, thanks
Diamond is found in the deep twisty bridges, I recommend getting the rebreather to explore there
You could use a flare to make them not attack you
What is what
Special fabricator in deepest part of the map
.
I am in land death zone?
The jukebox is easily the best part of this game imo
I MAY have the power of economic decimation
Yeah those guys
fun fact: they can not just swim in water but also walk on land
You are gonna be responsible for inflation
😭
hello guys I am replaying below zero for the second time for the objective to build a base in EVERY biome
How to go to crystallic caves? Im at Mercury 2 now
Find a crack/cave go down it and you should find it
Its close to the mercury
Atleast one of the parts
There is an entrance through deep purple vents (inside a cave there) and also one past Maida’s seabase (if you keep going past and down from there)
I need to go to her base first?
what is PLKP guys 😭???
You should go there anyway, because you get a helpful module from her base
You can just pass it
But you should enter
I already explored it
Ok then you don’t need to go inside again
once you meet her at her greenhouse you can go back inside to scan some extra furniture, but you can do that anytime you want to
When I put in the thing for the tower I got a call from Maida and I accidentally declined, I already finished the game, but I was curious if it locks me out of the green house since I couldn't enter when I tried.
Hello fellow subnauts and divers,
I'm definitely still early/mid-early game ish, but I'll kinda get to that later.
I just tried exploring the ||Mercury II wreck|| and found that ||both the bow and stern need the laser cutter, which I do not have||.
So far, I've ||met Marguerite, got the seatruck and depth module MK1 (although I could probably get the MK2/3 if I tried hard enough. I went to the Delta island (obviously) but that's about it. Found AL-AN but that doesn't take very long and haven't really progressed with that side of the story all too much yet. I'm focusing more on the Marguerite and Alterra bits I guess.||
Anyway, enough tangent-ing, do I need the ||laser cutter to explore the Mercury II wrecks to find the parallel processing unit?||
I've got 1 fragment as of now and now, ||which I found in the bow or the bit that isn't in the lilly-pad-area-thingymajig||
Even if you decline a call, it will be stored in your voicelog tab in pda. The greenhouse should be unlocked after disabling the satellite tower
I tried entering but it didnt let me
It is possible to get 3 ppu scans without laser cutter, but you might need to explore all 3 wreck sections
You can find laser cutter fragments in sea monkey nests in arctic kelp caves, and also in koppa mining site
After the call?
Greenhouse is locked until you get the call after disabling the tower. Not sure if you also have to listen the call
(Or the voicelog)
i got all the trivalves
they're pretty neat
I think I like them more because they look more cool and 'alien'
cuddlefish remind me of pugs or something, but they do have a farewell animation
did you try going on land with them? they walk, and do other tricks
I put the blue ones at my arctic base and the gold ones at my underwater base
tip: if you have them follow the truck, do not use peri defense
The truck itself is probably a bigger hazard tbh
Rip below zero modding
?
Then change to older version...?
How do you change thats what im trying to figure out
Do you have it on steam?
Yea
I think when on the main bellw zero steam page you need to click on the cog wheel and tab on betas
I THINK okay?
@long girder
Already tried that
Those are the betas
I mean the early access
All the way to 2020
Then try to contact some worker
try beta "Legacy"
who here would count the squidshark as a leviathan (i need this for a bet i have with my friend and i want the bet to be as fair as possible for both of us)
Big debate, who do yall think is scarier?
The Adult Ghost Leviathans or the Void Chelicerates
Kinda in terms of actual classification of creature. (in my opinion. Not only this, but the PDA also describes it as a leviathan class.
No in terms of other factors in game (the spawn rate is a LOT higher than any of the leviathans in either game, the health is a lot lower than other leviathans (1000 Vs Reapers 5000)). I also think it's too small to truly be a leviathan. Compared to Chelicerates in the same biome (occasionally), they're pretty dingy.
So not to be that guy, but yes and no. Personally I think no is more convincing.
this dont help TwT
I would personally say no
damn im stuck and i allready took 1 hour to do this
Does the unstuck button help?
i hate this bug because all of my trauma progrise gone
the button become unuse
like i cant press it
Right.
call the dev i want them to fix this bug
and all of my progress just gone because of this
What did you do? Just went to pilot it?
I remember a race condition about it a while ago.
I can't seem to find the ticket though.
after i detach the module i just want to drive and then you know what happen next
What do yall think of the chelicerate?
Cool, wish the albino version was present somewhere outside the void though.
What location is a diamond hotspot
Early game or late game
Early
Like me having a seatruck upgrade 1 now
Near the ||Koppa mining site|| not inside it, but outside it, you can find some diamonds in the caves to the left.
Or in ||deep twisty bridges|| (which is less safe)
How deep we talking for the ||deep twisty bridges||
and which direction from the pod is the ||Koppa Mining Site||
guys can someone tell me a good spot to build in the ||tree spires?||
Have you found ||The Island|| yet?
Not that I remember
250-380 meters.
A sea truck won’t fit
Dam
You’ll have to get it close, then go by yourself. Which is why it’s very dangerous
Ehh I don’t wanna spoil it entirely but go ||south|| of the pod and you should find the ||Island||.
There should be enough information on it to tell you where to go next and where to find points of interest.
Alr
Thx
🗿
Wait I should prolly
I have been trying to find a way to where this area is idk what cave is it in or what 😭
If im not mistake its in the ||mines||, if you can find where that is you can find this artifact
||Koppa mines||?
I think thats what they are called 🤣
Deep twisty bridges is ideal tbh, the squid sharks are near the bottom and diamonds are close to the top
Does anyone where I can find the docking module I’ve checked everywhere it’s supposed to be I even set up a scanner there and there’s no fragments anywhere in the surrounding area
You checked the purple vents entrance towards the ||crystal caves||?
Pretty sure I found it there
Yeah I checked down there I have 2/3 of the fragments I can try looking all the way down near the entrance the same thing is happening with the sleeper module too
Hm weird
What about the purple vents thingy from the lilypads crevice side?
Also the cave part
I can look over on that side too I have looked but not throughly though but the scanner should pick it up right?
Yeah... Did you get the range extension?
I have 3 of the range and I put the scanner right near the thrusters
Damn, weird
I know right I’ll try looking where you suggested thanks for the help ☺️
Good luck!
It's recommended to get ultra tank first right
I’d say rebreather is more important, you can kinda survive with a high cap tank I think
Ah
dam, the entitlement above is crazy
Is there any way to light an Alien Containment Unit from within besides creepvine clusters?
I did try the lightsticks, can’t place them. I’d forgotten about the spores, perfect, thanks.
Can you pick up and place the rock grubs?
I did not know that. I’ll try that, too.
Why are the Penguins so cute tho-
this better be enough fr
Argh. Just got around to testing, can’t place flowering spores inside the ACU.
want to try commands?
So it’s really Creepvine seeds (requiring a double-high ACU) or nothing.
Hum. I usually try to avoid them (seems cheating-adjacent) but I’ll take a look.
using a command disables achievement getting for this save
the command to try is: spawn lilypadresource
Worked! Thanks!
I don’t know why this isn’t allowed by default. It’s pretty and my fish kick it around like a football, which is hilarious.
Keep in mind that rock punchers in alien containment units will eat rockgrubs.
I’ve considered things like placing non-growable plants in ACUs with commands. I should try the flowering spores.
I wasn’t aware they ate them at all, thanks for the warning.
Hey guys am i weird for hoarding hundreds of penglings
just finished the game and I have no clue what has happened in the past 5 hours of gameplay 😭
how does this poster exist if the big gun got turned off
I mean... it got turned off, not destroyed
it like changed shape after being turned off tho
its a poster
thats like saying: how does a picture of me exist 9 years ago when Im no longer 9 years old.
who took the photo then
Cameraman
Me
much more strange: The Subnautica mug
Started my first play through the other week and have to say: I'm enjoying this game a lot more than I expected. I see most of the common points of criticism but don't mind those much. The biomes and creatures are gorgeous and I still get this deep urge to explore. The qol upgrades and music are also really nice.
I agree! BZ has just continued to grow on me over the years.
me
my dad get the subnautica BZ for free to experiment the first versions and i hope i get subnautica 2 for free too
👍
!
!!
!!!
Guys how do I kill a chelicerate with a command? Preferably all of them
just avoid them
Its not just to avoid them but also just to avoid seeing them completely cause i have thalassophobia and I can't stand even seeing them let alone having to run from them / avoid them
then wtf are you playing SUBNAUTICA a game that takes place in the WATER
Why not? I've cleared it once but had multiple panic attacks which was not fun but the game and story itself was fun. Also why do you care if i play it or not?
I’m still learning things about BZ after playing for a very long time. This week I found out you could access the power cells in the seatruck while it was docked. Also that they charge one at a time and not in parallel.
Still can’t access the upgrades from inside the dock though.
L
m
what about turning creature agression down to 0 instead?
a bit of a step in between, lets you get used to big shrimp without it trying to kiill you
I guess but honestly I'd probably still panic lmao great suggestion tho i could try it ty
I found out that if you have a sleeper module hooked up and have the mini jukebox playing while you're driving, the track name will be displayed on the front glass when the next track starts
You need so much lead in this game but there are no lead deposits!
Its so annoying to have to look for lead, and when you do find galena outcrop you get freaking titanium instead
Who had the bright idea to make every outcrop also drop titanium? You also just need 5 titanium for a titanium bar in this game, so why give the player soooo much titanium if you nerfed it anyway?
Oh yeah the mining in this game is the worst part for sure.
guys what upgrades should i have on every vehicle except for depth
i looked in twisty bridges and thermal vents
mineral detector came in clutch for lead and a lot of other things
vehicles in below zero only have 4 upgrades each. The only thing you need to worry about are what modules to put on the truck or arms to put on the prawn. snowfox has 2 upgrades but can only hold 1.
oh wrong chat
I agree. Story shortcomings aside (And I can get past that simply by playing long enough that everyone stops talking) but the lack of lead plus the requirement of going over the Twisty Bridges with a fine-toothed comb is just a hassle.
And I also agree about the Mineral detector. At first I viewed it askance, but I can literally swim right by a galena outcropping multiple times without seeing it, and having that thing chirping away at me “It’s ^right^ ^there^ you dope” is actually incredibly helpful.
The only upside for me is that I find it’s easier to move around Twisty Bridges with the seaglide than the seatruck, and it’s nice to get back in the water. Feels more immersive. The seatruck has its upsides, but it’s loud and separates you from the environment. I dunno. I’m grasping at straws, I suppose.
I just wish every outcrop didnt also give you titanium :/
Limestone isnt hard to find, theres a million metal salvage by wrecks, and titanium bars cost only 5 instead of 10 titanium so why should every outcrop give you titanium? Its stupid
It’s why the PDA’s sly comment about the mineral detector even helping you find titanium should you need it “for some reason” usually makes me chuckle.
I usually play with the Realistic Recipes mod, which (among other things) makes titanium ingots cost 20 titanium, but it also exacerbates the lead issue, so handwaggle
There is a lot more lead available than people realize. Scanners are your friend.
It’s not that there isn’t enough, it’s that it is time-consuming to get. And the RNG nature of outcrops can be frustrating.
am I supposed to have a prawn for this
its not neccesary, however the drill arm is reccomended
If you have the rebreather you can still go down on your own
But yeah it’s meant for the prawn
I still recommend checking it out without a prawn tho
I did it without rebreather
I died a couple times but I did it
yummy diamonds
where do you get the rebreather recipe anyway
It's in the Twisty Bridges biome in one of the data boxes!
About 300m from the life pod, at a site, hard to miss those honestly, so I'm sure you'll find it
thx <3
Np
Where do i find gelsacks
you gotta braven up
and ram into them with a sea truck like a man
Deep twisty bridges
Just finished Below Zero. It was pretty good. I liked it.
I've played subnautica 1 before this. And while I do think 1 was better than BZ, that doesn't mean BZ is bad. After playing Below Zero I can say that it is overhated and under-appreciated.
I guess that's the thing behind overhate: people compare it to Subnautica, and then somehow 'not as good' turns into 'bad game'🤷♂️
I just finished Below Zero for the first time too 💪
I want to go back and tidy up my base, but I feel proud
Pretty sure they are also in Lilypad Caves. Plus in the entrance to the Crystal Caverns
It’s a place you go with the seatruck for the purpose of unlocking the prawn, although it’s also a great place to come back later with the prawn, so I suppose in a way it’s both😂
There’s a place to enter with the seatruck (cabin only) via the roof somewhere (although tbh I use the main doors, which AREN’T designed to allow the seatruck to pass lol, but if you save just in case you get stuck [very important, although I think I’ve only had to reload once out of idk how many entries to Koppa], you can generally maneuver the cabin through those doors and get into the space and go down that big tube to the lower part of Koppa mine just fine.
But the devs intended the seatruck cabin to enter somewhere else where there is a gap in the roof. I take my chances and enter between the doors, saving first just in case, and almost always have no issues getting in.
ya I entered from the roof and left through the doors
good thing I didn't get stuck lol
There are also enough oxygen plants to explore the mine with seaglide, high capacity tank and rebreather, parking seatruck outside the doors...
Does anyone know the purpose for being able to interact with glow whales? Or is it just there to be there?\
I think it's just a neat little thing to do in the game
Making the world feel more alive?
i think the prawn is just not needed in bz
you can just go down with the seatruck and even take compartments with you
in my playthrough i made a prawn and never used it
You don't need things
But they make the game more convenient
The Prawn isn't necessary for material gathering but it's so good for it
The humble speedrunner swimming down with a tank and picking up bladderfish
Maybe a bit of drown not drown
Will this game also come to mobile at some point?
I'm the other way round. I finished the game without using the seatruck
The sea truck is fun to use
I'm definitely going to go back and make the stuff I never used like the snow fox, seatruck, stuff like that
Snow Fox is cool you save time exploring and can escape those bear things
I'll probably go through the wiki to see what I missed. I thought I'd been taking my time, but I finished the game faster than most guides said
Ugh, not always. Just yesterday I was speeding away from the snowstalker when an icicle dropped ^right^ on top of me. Knocked me to the edge of the ice bridge, snowstalker caught up with me, mauled me and the bike, knocked us over the edge and bam, dead and snowfox destroyed.
I assume you have the jump boost and grapple arm to help get around?
Also, does anyone else have an issue on the frozen river where the snowfox is blazing along and then suddenly stops? It happens to me at several points.
I unlocked the grapple arm within the final hour of finishing the game 💔
I wasn't really able to find it
I suppose most things are so close together it’s not strictly necessary.
Re: the snowfox. One of the modules they should have made was “Lit Flare”. It’d ^definitely^ keep the snowstalkers away and you’d leave fiery trails behind you. It would look ^awesome^. 🙂
Is this game any good?
Yes
I had to make the jump jet upgrade twice I think, because I accidentally entered the void and got eaten
lobster
i dont understand the ending for below zero lmao
the pda voice in below zero is so awful
You don't even need to make the jump upgrade in bz. You just get it for free
I lost it to the void 💔
Silly billy
I made it, drove 20 meters, got off and it just glitched and fell into the void
never made one again after that
Haven’t encountered many bugs
has anyone ever had trouble with planting seeds in an exterior growbed where the prompt to transfer them from your inventory into the growbed doesn't show up?
Do you find yourselves not building external lights (flood, light stick, etc)? I usually don’t bother because I tend to build where there’s a lot of bioluminescence.
The only exception is when I build a snowman, I always “equip” it with a light stick.
I don’t build lights unless it’s for my foundations for a outdoor growbed
I hadn’t thought of doing it for a growbed. I might start doing that, just to ^use^ the lights. I usually seed a creepvine for light in my growbeds.
Yeah I light up the exterior growbeds on land so I can see them better during nighttime
I wonder why the crashfish don’t attack the Sea Monkeys. They’ve nests all over their homes.
where do I find d ribbon plants
Are you trying to plant land plants underwater or sea plants in dry environment?
Can be found in the early biomes of the game
Probably some level of symbioses or something
where can I fabricate the organs, I cant see the recipe in the fabricator
||in an alien facility|| ||in the fabricator caverns|| ||red crystal place you can get to from|| ||the crystal caves||
look around twisty bridges, the deeper areas have lots of them
or better yet, FARM THEM FOR UNLIMITED RIBBON PLANTS
Always those clankas
learning you can plant ribbon plants saved my sanity
if only you could plant table coral
they were overly abundant in subnautica 1's safe shallows and I struggle to find them in bz
Yeah they are kinda scattered around in the twisty bridges
and spread unevenly, sometimes you find like 3 in a large area scattered around
or you find a clump of like 6
or you find a a clump of clumps of 6 and you can't bring them all back at once
Wait till you find the cluster of 20...
wait so to build the important thingy do I need to, || bring all the ingredients of the body parts to the alien place thingy, and build everything there ||
there we go
W e ‘ r e r i c h
where do I get spiral plant clippings
||vent garden||
Nope, they were aquatic plants in an external growbed underwater.
I did end up figuring out that the reason was because they were 2x2 seeds and these seeds cannot be planted in the middle, they have to be planted where they touch at least one of the four walls of the growbed.
||q||
I really like the ||alien arch|| area, it's probably one of my favorite alien base things in the entire game. It looks cool asf
also what if the ||frozen leviathan|| is what ||alan|| was refering to when he talked about the biome with the ||ice worms?|| We know the big guy was alive when the alien guys were
You can also go east of the Delta Station docks. There are some by ||the artifact||.
Hey all, since June update i can’t even find the High O2 capacity tank anymore ! Did anyone figured this out ?
Regular high capacity was in a data box somewhere early game like twisty bridges or smthing
I should know, I got it during the June update
skibby skibby geg
Yep i found it on my previous game at 127meters deep. Zone was like a base in construction. But at this same spot i have nothing on my new game. Very strange…
Try checking there again and sweep the area
That’s the only site where you can get the blueprint seems like
where do i find the spiral red flower used for the depth module MK2?
Inside a vent garden
yeah i got some from deep purple vents
if you don't want to keep collecting them, you can re plant the clippings
Yay, it’s not just me that knows about these!
purple
You might try putting just the odd colored ones on the cab and try to recolor them that way
I've actually never tried to recolor any Seatruck parts, so I'm not sure
hm
just a random question: will drilling become twice as fast if you equip your prawn suit with two drill arms?
what's the prettiest place to put a base in y'all opinion
I've always based up at delta just cause its central
Arctic Spires, Lilypads, Deep Lilypads, Crystal Caves and Twisty Bridges are my favorite places
I always make a base in at least 2 of them
I usually make one at the Phi Robotics landing stage, just because it’s really convenient. But for aesthetics…the giant anemone caves are filled with a lovely soft light. Bottom of Twisty Bridges is gorgeous, so long as you have a glass roof on your multipurpose/ large room.
While building an outpost on the shore near the steps, I discovered the steam vents can be tapped with a thermal plant for power - for some reason I thought they only worked underwater
I had no idea, either. What sort of temperature do you get from them?
Not a lot, but it's stable, so it's enough for my [freedom mode] needs
Where are the important places in subnautica bz?
Beacuse i compleated subnautica but im new in subnautica bz
As you explore you will get some clues, be sure to read PDA entries also
The Twisty Bridges are very important. It has your first major story event and also contains most of the resources you'll need. It's an excellent biome to build your home base.
Try and find an area that looks like this.
It's not much, but here's my base after finishing the game
Thats a really great base!
I never moved beyond the single solar panel and bio reactor 💔
Big shoutout to the OST: BZ doesn't quite have the same stand-out songs that SN1 had but the ambient music is exquisite.
No problem there, my main base has a bioreactor and nothin' else [for power]
Hi, does someone know where are the fragments of the ultra high capacity tank?
The map that’s on the wiki only shows one fragment in the arctic kelp caves 😦

Ultra capacity tank fragments are in sea monkey nests in lilypads area
Thanks
Ok thx
I tell this to everyone.. prioritize getting a scanner room and the scanner HUD chip. That will make the rest of the game significantly easier
The Scanner HUD is more powerful than the Prawn Suit. It is far and a way the strongest item in both games
Small downside to hud chip is that it doesn't tell distance...
True. But I still feel safe in saying that it makes resources management a cake walk.
The strongest weapon any player has, regardless of a games genre, is knowledge of where and when things appear. Scanner HUD gives that to you.
Does anyone know what sam meant when she said parvan’s art was inappropriate
They were researching what was basicly a 'controlled substance' so drawing pictures of it might have been a security risk
I think you’re confusing it with Vinh’s art. Vinh was actually drawing the Kharaa molecule.
It’s implied (and consistent with other glimpses we get into Parvan’s personal life) that he was doodling explicit sea creatures.
Oh ya, Parvan - I don't remember seeing any of his 'art' tho
We never did see them, Sam just snarked about them in a PDA entry.
Oh ok - I can't really fault the guy tho, he seemed to have a lot of extra time on his hands
Why can’t he just get into playing underwater-themed horror/survival video games like the rest of us?
He kinda did have a gamer's build, didn't he
what should i do after visiting the greenhouse of margaret ?
There is no set order to do things...continue what you were doing before🤷♂️
I wanna go to delta station dock with my seagkide to get a multipurpose room but idk if there’s leviathans there
Stick close to the island, you should be safe.
Lucky for us, most predators on 4546B make a lot of noise, unlike Earth predators
bro finally gave up
I just finished my first playthrough of Subnautica BZ and it was definitely worth my time! I reached out a while back to ask for people's opinions on the game and I'm glad I listened. Here are my thoughts (There are story spoilers ahead so read at your own discretion):
Overall, the game does fall short of the first one like I suspected, but I enjoyed it for what it was.
The story wasn't my favorite. The fact that Marguerit Maida survived doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me, and the mystery surrounding Sam's death was kind of a letdown tbh. I did like Al-An and learning more about the Precursors was very interesting. Going on missions to hunt down artifacts was fun, and the conversations Robin had with Al-An were entertaining. The story ended with quite a cliffhanger, which is sad cause who knows if we'll ever find out what happened to the rest of the Architects.
The soundtrack wasn't as good as Simon Chylinski's, but Ben Prunty did a really good job. Honestly, I went in expecting that I wasn't going to like it but I was pleasantly surprised.
I didn't mind the sea truck as much as the Subnautica community seems to, but I did miss having the Seamoth. The Seatruck is slow, but with the modifications you can really boost its speed. The different modules were an interesting addition, but I only used the storage and docking bay for my Prawn Suit. What I absolutely despised was the Snowfox. Controlling that thing was a PAIN IN THE BUTT. On top of that it's such a fragile vehicle. It felt like I was constantly stopping to do repairs.
Here are some random points I thought of:
-
I know a lot of people complain about the size of the map, and it's true. The map is smaller. However, I didn't mind this at all. There were enough places to explore and multiple deeper spots to find throughout my playthrough, and I never felt like I had seen everything there was to discover. There's enough content to keep you going for a while. I did find myself backtracking quite a bit though.
-
There aren't as many areas in this game, but they all seemed very unique and well thought out. The new flora and fauna in each location was very interesting, but I never came face to face with anything as terrifying as a reaper. The game wasn't as scary in my opinion.
-
The temperature mechanics were interesting and fit the theme and climate, but they weren't implemented as well as they could have been. It was more of a bother early on cause I had to seek shelter every five minutes while I was exploring, but once you get the warmsuit, coffee, and peppers it isn't such a big deal.
-
I miss the old PDA voice. It was so much better and a lot of the humor was lost with the new accent they chose.
-
There were a few things the devs changed or left out that bugged me. What annoyed me the most is that there isn't a first aid kit fabricator. Why did they remove it? It just seems so unnecessary and random. 😆
Perhaps the main reason for sea truck complaints was that it was slower? 🤷
Yeah. I think that was the biggest issue people had with it.
Swim speed is slower in bz so by speed scale, seatruck is equivalent to seamoth
It only gets sluggish when you put at least 3-4 modules on it
Yeah, but visually it looks, and feels slower. Lol
But yeah, by scale, I guess it'll be the same
Oh and the moth can stack speed when going in multiple directions so yeah I guess it’s faster
Lol
I still love the truck most tho, customizing it into a small base is never not cool
It's like a mini cyclops for sure, I'll give it that.
Storage and a docked prawn suit
My biggest issue with the sea truck is how loud it is. With the seamoth, you were smoothly whirring through the water. With the seatruck it’s all CHUGCHUGCHUGCHUGCHUG.
Nice summary. I agree with nearly everything you said. RE: the med kit fabricator…at first I was wondering why it wasn’t there, too. Now, I just plant the Horseshoe Shrub and never really worry about medkits.
I also agree the story wasn’t as good as SN. However, I find myself playing BZ more frequently ^because^ I care less about the story. If I go into SN, I get caught up and I have to finish the storyline. BZ: eh. Al-AN can cool his metaphorical heels in my brain, I’ve got bases to build.
Yeah I literally begin treating it like dlc at that point
Is it really that loud and annoying?
But yeah I have no idea why they decided to make the truck and prawn have motor engine sounds
It’s probably just a personal irritant. But, too, I feel it somehow takes you out of the world a bit. In the seamoth, yes, you’re in a vehicle, not swimming, but it still sort’ve ^felt^ like you were in the water. In the Truck, it feels like there’s an extra separation. I dunno. Probably just me.
That's smart. I didn't even think about that. I just used first aid kits that I found and tried my best not to take damage. 🙃
That's valid. I admit, I spend a good few hours of each playthrough building and decorating my seabase. 😆
why is there a literal squidshark up here
Evolution
Lmao
He's taking a break from being a fish
Going on a walk for fresh air
where i found a docking module for the seatruck
You unlock it with the moonpool
Are you on the most current patch?
yes
Weird
yeah
the fargments its found in the deep purple vents
YESSS i finally get the docking modulee
does someone want to play bz multiplayer sometime
idk with but i cant get mods so sorry
idk bro
i tried to download the red plague and the de-extinction but dont worked
even the prototype
Did you download the required helper mods first? Most mods need Bepinex and Nautilus to work.
On the description page for each mod, there’s a. “required” table so you can see what it needs to run.
Assuming you’re downloading from Nexusmods.com that is. I don’t know how it works elsewhere.
But you need Bepinex first. It needs to be downloaded and its included script run to install it.
That's it, I download in nexus
That configures the game (and your client like Steam) for mods. The other mods you want will go into Bepinex/plugins/.
Some mods are more needy than others. Many, like BaseClocks, will just require Bepinex and Nautilus. Others might require several others in order to run. Check the description page.
my client is epic games very sad because i cant acess the early acess and this things
They’re usually pretty helpful over on the Subnautica Modding discord channel.
so i will download the bepinex and nautilus
ok
oh. Tried to post a link to Subnautica Modding and got warned. Just do a search, I guess. Good luck! Mods are fun.
thx
i forgot, is there a taser shield upgrade for the seatruck?
Yes there is a perimeter defence upgrade like the seamoth
Oh, ok. I might need it for the red crystal biome
Do you know where i can find it exactly?
||marguerit base, on the floor||
oh
wish you could put up a first aid kit fabricator in the seatruck...
i forgot which way in the lilypad zone i was supposed to take in order to get to Margret's base...
take the vent garden entrance instead
i can't get inside of Margret's base anymore
that means she is at the greenhouse. and she invited you
where's the greenhouse?
1100m east of delta dock, on top of iceberg
why is the game so scary? 😢
is there a tab in the pda to see which eggs you have discovered?
I'm tryna collect them all
no, there's not and if there was it would've been showed in the pda from the very beginning
the wiki has a list
Its useful if you forget to grab water and are exploring
how much water does it give now again? and is it the same water amout for both games?
I think it gives about 10-20
in both BZ and subnautica?
I shall use black magic to find what eggs I must discover (pen and paper)
yes it's useful
it gives you water faster than it goes down. only downside is it makes food meter go down.
the water filtration suit, seatruck fabricator, and seatruck aquarium basically take care of all food/water needs
i LOVE the ||Mercury II|| wreck honestly, the aurora but underwater, great
Feels a little underwhelming compared to the aurora
That actually was a pretty cool segment, I remember getting confused once or twice but it was fun
I remember first going to the aurora i thought its gonna be like collosal but got kinda disappointed ngl xD
It is collosal but a lot of it is unaccessible (by that i mean there wasnt made any other interior)
Yep yep that's what i meant
is subnautica below zero harder than subnautica or no
Also the chelicerate is a great design imo, better than the reaper arguably
But aurora gives a grander feeling than ||mercury 2|| because aurora is mandatory plus on the outside its much bigger
Oooh I don't know if I'd go that far lol, I think it's cool but idk if it's that good
Both are easy games, they arent designed with difficulty as a priority
I don't think so, I'd say they're about the same
alr
Yeah and with the entrance to the aurora being grand it felt like im gonna fight a boss of some sorts
eh i wouldnt say it has better design than the reaper sure it does indeed look cool though
Lmao😭
I love shrimp that's why haha
Fair enough
shrimps are delicious
In my very humble opinion, the reaper kinda tries really hard to look intimidating
Chelicerate becomes annoying after the first encounter, its just aggresive while the reaper was kinda unique
I see where that comes from but I think it works pretty well
same
I agree
Yeah it is intimidating
I don't see nearly as many clips of people losing it over the shrimp as I do the reaper
first time i saw a reaper i was terrified
the shrimp doesnt look intimidating until it chases you
with that mouth opening..
Yeah the reapers still make me a bit uneasy and that's after a couple hundred hours
It only happens on first encounter while reaper can be stressful throughout your whole first playthrough
That is a great part of the design, I love that, really spooky
Unless you're scared of big things in the water... Its smaller than a reaper sure but it looks huge nonetheless
the void shrimp though..
Whenever i hear the roar i just go like "ohh man whyyy am i doing thissss"
It looks bigger than reaper cuz its thicker😭
Just a fat shrimp
Lmao
😭
Squid shark is more unique than chelicerate cuz chelicerate is just big angry fish
What i didnt really like is how Robin talks to herself like: "boom, i have a scanner"
I didnt mind it that much
🙏
Boom, i crapped my pants, a shrimp is chasing me
Boom boom
Top 10 unused lines from bz:
😭
I need it in a mod right this instant
Yeah I was not a fan of the increased amount of dialogue
Make it a rhyme, then next step is turn it into a chorus of a song and we get: "BZ: The Song"
And make it crappy like that one secret of the mimic song😭
Yeah just rhyme boom with boom and its done
is there any pet like the cuddlefish in below zero?
Yep!
YAY
Boom boom
ooo
Thats kinda a spoiler but idk
