Removing leviathans, as if they’re an obstacle, is one of the many reasons why they’re no longer going to be killable in the next game.
You’re not meant to be the “apex predator” in Subnautica games.
Rather, you’re supposed to use other means, such as your wits and stuff, to plan around the paths of predators and whatnot, not remove them from the environment to make life more convenient for yourself

When you damage leviathans, they don't try to attack you anymore, just escape which makes them very easy to deal with
