i think i've mastered how to get squidsharks to leave you alone: turn your perimeter defense system into a perimeter offense system

i've been going out of my way to zap any that get a little bit too close for comfort this run and i've had signifigantly fewer problems with them than in the past

If you really need to just kill it with the prawn suit. Fairly easy with drill arm and grapple arm because you can hang on its back and drill where it can’t get you. Takes two minutesish

I don't care what you play, but I will say that subnautica isn't hard enough for there to be a meaningful challenge without the food/water/etc. And there's something to be said for mastering the mundane day to day of survival, getting into a rhythm with your preferred food/water source, etc

Because they expected a subnautica 2 (which is coming now) but bz was different because you aren't alone anymore since there is ||Marguerit Maida and Alan|| and also the voice of character that makes it sound like you're with someone. So you don't get the same "I'm alone lost on a planet" feeling. There is also the part where the story is very guided like you have so much more indications for both part|| (Robin sister and Alan story).|| when in sn1 you had 0 help except the life pods to go look at but otherwise you need to search by yourself and beat your fear of the unknown
And finally let's add the part on the island that isn't underwater so some people were a bit disappointed.

But honestly imo it's a great game, very colorful and I loved the story

Mostly bc of the story idk it’s not as ppl say it is but it definitely wasn’t that great that they can take out the more immersive elements of the game, like for example how did Sam even make the cure for kharaa that an entire alien race couldn’t, being IN ROBOTICS NOT EVEN BIO EITHER (I do get that the chili and plant part is for avoiding soft lock but still)

It makes more sense considering the sea emperor was the only one who knew, but how does some random roboticist be able to figure that out? At least if she made something to cook the bacteria or smth that’d make more sense

Hyper advanced alien race to whom the laws of physics were mere inconvienient suggestions couldn't figure out the connection between five local plants and making the eggs hatch... when they already knew specific plants in her tank were needed for her to be healthy?

Also, Alterra was actively researching kharaa and this was after Riley already did his thing. She wasn't exactly starting from zero

First half the plants required weren't even in the tank, and also sam literally didn't have any access to info that would let her create the cure

By the time Sam gets in 4546B, Enzyme 42 has already become part of the whole ecosystem. There are no more infected creatures in the sea (which is why Alterra wants to preserve the Frozen Leviathan)

The Aliens didn't know which exact plants were needed to hatch the eggs. They died in the process of finding it out. The creature tells the player directly which plants are they.

Yeah but how would sam be able to know considering her whole field is in robotics with rudimentary knowledge on other parts that would enable her to make the cure ON HER OWN. Like the projects she's mentioned in are stuff like spy penguins, and there's a difference between being able to completely replicate a cure and making a robot (not insinuating that making a robots "easy" by any means but the fields of expertise are different is my point)
