Galena is what you’re looking for. You can find some early in deeper parts of twisty bridges, but also in thermal spires, lilypads (undersides of the sunken rocks in upper lilypads specifically), but sort of all over? Just remember it’s galena outcrops you’re looking for

At least a knife, scanner, and other basic equipment woulda made sense but there’s no reason to show up to an alien planet without that stuff. Also she had NO PLAN of getting off the planet forcing herself to take a ride with AL-AN

Why Sam thought it was a good idea to listen to Margaret and blow up the cave causing a cave-in. She also made an antidote and hid it away but never thought to use it BEFORE having Marg blowing it up

Curing the kharaa virus also wasn’t required to finish the game. Even tho finding out abt Sam’s death was the whole point we came anyway.||

||and why everyone had to evacuate. What’s one cave in gonna do to a whole planet full of researchers? I mean, I can get abandoning the project since yknow, the cave is prolly not safe but everyone was just like “alr let’s pack it all up and leave the planet”||

For the last bit, it was likely no longer profitable for Alterra to keep the research and mining outpost/colony on planet 4546B active, so they left the stuff behind like in Star Wars when Cyrka Corporation left the sand crawlers behind on Tattoonine due to it being no longer profitable for continued operation

As after all, Alterra is extremely profit-focused

And we know that the said three other revenue streams had been cut because of Paravan's transfer to || Excavation Site Phi||, Phi Robotics lab's closure, and Lillian talking about how funding for ||her research on Architects|| being cut, it leaves only the one final revenue stream to go

below zero is a great game, but its not gonna change your life as much as the first game did. the first one was super mysterious and you had to solve the mysteries of the planet yourself, but in below zero your character has a clear objective from the start and is also narrated in a way that kind of breaks the mystery and immersion in my opinion

however, the music and the biomes in below zero are AMAZING they are so pretty and the music is so epicc i love it

its extremely worth it if you simply "want more subnautica to play" but if you are looking for a life changing experience you might want to watch a playthrough instead

so i was searching for the last seatruck docking module fragment, couldnt find it so i used a tutorial on yt, i folowed the tutorial perfectly but when i arrived to the deep purple vents biome, it was sort of bugged and even with the tutorial i still couldnt find it.
plus the alien "Fossil Excavator" was missing too, i searched up the place and everything but it just wasnt there, and the place where it shoulve been was just empty and looked very unmatched to everything around.
please tell me if i need to progress in some parts of the story first before i get a notification from alan about that artifact.

funny thing about the shadow leviathan. if you have a seatruck module attached and he's attacking you, just keep your seatruck at a leveled position and exit the seat to enter the modules. he'll de-aggro and return to his set path.

DO NOT do it if your seatruck isn't level or if you have no modules because then he'll get freaky and grab you.

Oh if the question is the trailer modules, you can make a seatruck so long that you can angle it upwards and then try to exit your chair and take fall damage from falling through all of the modules

The game doesn't work very well with autosave, especially on console.

Saving takes a long time and playing while saving leads to loading issues.

It’s dumb, like I just go on and off it all the time and it’s easy to forget to save because literally every other game has auto save

The lack of autosave also helps with the fact there are many bugs in the game, that can simply be reverted by quitting without saving.

When you try to quit the game without saving for over 30 minutes, a warning will show up, asking you if you really want to quit without saving, and showing how long has it been since the last save.

Games with auto save also deal with many problems when you turn off the PS5 without properly closing the game. One of the issues is file corruption.

In short, you should save often, and don't rely on autosave too much, even in games that have it.

You definitely shouldn't just be turning your console off without closing out properly, that's an excellent way to corrupt your saves even if the game does have an auto save feature. You're kinda screwing yourself here.

But yeah Subnautica should have had auto save. Games made before Subnautica had auto save features with menus that you could go to and manually back up to a certain save, which fixes the issue with autosave locking you into a bug.

Autosave mod exists and is extremely recommended to use. It creates three "autosave" slots that you cycle through and can always save manually and load either manual or autosave - so its a fixed problem, but for some reason devs did not include this functionality in their game.
