Hi, I wanted to replay Below Zero after a long time, and I can't launch the game, it crashes when launched. By looking on reddit/steam, I saw that it was a problem that many people have, I tested several solutions, including launching in legacy build, nothing works. It's starting to annoy me, and I haven't found much besides the legacy build, updating the graphics drivers, checking the files as a solution. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I'm on steam, with a i5 10400F, rtx 3060, 32gb of ram. Thanks for the help.

There is a skeleton and a dead one you can scan. In the game code ice worm is an event and not a creature: it doesn't have hitbox and thus cannot be scanned (or attacked).

Hm, that's not how the story goes. They died on the planet. They tried killing every creature they were studying, but one escaped and led to the outbreak. The Emperor just couldn't communicate with them. There was no cure at the time they all died/got transfered to sanctuaries.

There was no selfishness, and no disease in the planet prior to them.

ive been searching for ages and zero gold ive used the materiel scanner and zero calvanite outcrops ive searched evreywhere and there is still nothing i crafted a rebreather just now and plan to explore the crystal caves without a seatruck or prawn due to no gold (i have no intention of this being a baseless run)

Try searching kelp forest caves or thermal spires crevises. There's also one cave in Delta island which is full of calaverite outcrops

And of course the 'speedrunners cave' slighlty west from the spot you first go into water at the start of the game...gold, silver and copper in ore veins

Once you go up top of Delta to where the living quarters camp is, you follow the back stairway down (it’s behind the living quarters) which leads into a series of caves where there’s lots of the rocks that can break for gold. Easy to access and obtain early on

In NS2, Kharaa is completely different, and in BZ Alterra ||loses all the access to the disease, so they might be unrelated.||

||As for Sam, she had no proof of anything, and she went really far and beyond. Blowing up the lab, curing the specimen, then sealing the cave, it was a plan alright, but she's taking Alterra as a cartoonish villain, something that the other workers don't believe in.||

||Alterra is shown to be a very informal company, that provides everything to its workers. Employees have everything handed to them, they're treated like children and kind of act as such (Ozzy worried about the 0-G gym, Alterra HQ call, everything about Fred). The higher ups, however, feel like power corrupted them, they're emotionless (or fake emotion) to get what they want, like Manu being friendly but asking Fred to stop helping colleagues or spending time with them (likely so the Frostpack has better performance, he cares a lot about performance), or Wilson ditching Elheim because she doesn't benefit her as much as a guy from the Prawn Bay. Still, everyone gets everything they need, there's no life like Alterran life, and only outside people seem to distrust them.||

TL;DR: ||Only Sam and Robin think Alterra is evil, because the company has only done good things to its workers (as far as we know). Sam is the odd one in the Frostpack, so she seems paranoid.||

Important to note that at the end we learn ||Alterra doesn't see Sam as an antagonist, or even suspect she had anything against them, so they marked it as negligence. If they knew the lab being blown up was tied to her, and that it was used as a distraction so she could do her things in Phi, she'd probably be accused of terrorism||

There is only 4: depth, perimeter defence, afterburner (temporary speed boost) and horsepower (extra modules reduce speed less)

Horsepower starts to have effect when you have 3 or more modules

I found them in the ||vent gardens|| I had to go up inside a ||jellyfish looking plant|| with plants growing inside it to get the spiral clipping though.

Few people know this, but there are spiral plants to be found ^outside^ the ||vent garden||.

Go east from Delta station dock, follow the ground downward. They’re middling deep, but they’re there.

Sea monkeys don't search for the materials,it just spawn in their hand if you have the recipe pinged

Certain materials are given only by sea monkeys of certain zones

For example, don't try to get ruby from kelp sea monkey

Cause i had the recipe pinned and out of 5 gifts,none was magnetite(i had only this one pinned and none on me)

There are three cases in the way they're functioning.

• The default gifts if they aren't in their respective biomes. For instance if you release a seamonkey and don't have a pinned recipe.
• They are in a biome they know, like Arctic Kelp Forest, the caves, Lilypads Crevices. In this case they'll give you things specific to the biome, like creepvine seeds or root pustules.
• The pinned ingredients, which is a separate list, with restrictions for ruby and nickel as I mentioned in Lilypads.

That's what I did in my playthroughs too. I don't like this upgrade, it's too overpowered. You zap once and the two leviathans release you instantly.

Explore Custom game mode, below Creative in the list (Or convert your game, Options). Play around with commands (see wiki).
On steam, you can still play the old story. Enter beta code belowzeroearlyaccess then run version EA 8.
