My personal impression with OG and zero is that game gives you hints, but does not tie you into the story at all. You can literally go wherever you please and have a picnic without game nagging you to go to next objective. Actually, you may not find said objective if you don't listen to hints.

Personal suggestion - group moonpool and truck dock close by, connect them to your storage room for quick unloading. For roleplay reason I have those separated via bulkhead in case of leaks.

Can't tell from the screenshot at what depth everthing is, but maybe building things a bit higher will get you some more clearance. I will often shift rooms to get them just where I want, so I know the pain of rebuilding a base. I will also often have multiple seatruck docks oriented in different directions just to make docking easier.
Also agree with the moonpool and dock being close so you can dock your prawn for a recharge more easily. I'll usually have a decent floor of foundations so I can just drop then prawn and walk it over. Assuming lead isn't an issue for you currently.

I think at most I may have three. One big one, one small one for short hops, and a third just because. Usually always more docks than I need because I want it to look like a busy place. LOL

One thing that I find myself doing a lot is making extra rooms, then when I go off and want to set up a small base I just deconstruct the room and I've got all the supplies I need to rebuild it elsewhere. I just need to have supplies for power generation in a locker on the seatruck and I'm good to go.

I just beat 1 again and at the end of 2. Playing them again id say Below zero is just as good of a story. Im liking the Al-AN story arc and think its incredible. Its an upgrade from the first imo. Both games are masterpiece tier though.

You can blast through it in like 15-20 hours. Just follow the markers. I highly suggest beating it. Literally one of the best games ever made. Both are solid 10/10. Almost perfect games.

When I load my save game, I drop on the sea floor, walking (I'm under water). I spawned near a basepiece that is like 1 kilometer from the base I was in when saving. Is that... normal?
"unstuck" got me swimming again, but its going to be a long swim till my seatruck...

I personally think openGL probably won't do much, I think the debug mode is a better workaround, but let's try things one by one.
A developer told me to tell people to try openGL, so who knows.
For the record the debug mode should let Nvidia manage the clock speed and thus disable any overclocking.

Below Zero is done yeah. They updated the game in late 2022 with some additional stuff but don't expect any major story changes etc. Right now they are indeed also working on the new game so I'm not expecting any updates to it in the foreseeable future.

The only reason I'm not finished bellow zero before is that with subnautica games it's never clear are that final update or no, is there definitive experience or not yet. But now I did and it was phenomenal
I really think they should've made definitive editions like observer: system redux, to signal that game in definitive state.

I don't know why, but the Ice Worms haven't attacked me once. The only thing they did was eat a couple of Snow Stalkers. Is it a bug? I ran around and used Snow Fox too, but still the same result.

You only get beacon for ||one body cache, the other two are hints like that. Al-An will speak again with more hints when you get closer. But it's a bit difficult if you don't find it immediately and then you don't remember where you were when he told the clue...||

But I need help correcting my list.
I just started playing Below Zero and I'm working on this list of outcrops and where to find them. This list will go along with a map with all the biomes colored in the same color as here. (This is mostly just for quality of life for my self and I guess for others who would use it) I also will be adding what other materials you can find in those biomes later.
But I think I accidentally got some outdated information, like the deep Arctic biome, can someone here please correct me on things I did wrong here or not do at all, is there any mistakes with which outcrop is in each biome, which biomes should be removed, which need to be separated if any, which renamed, and which need to be added? (I am mostly focusing on non cave biomes, but I think I will add some cave biomes so please tell me which cave biomes are important to add too I guess, I would assume some of them would be the crystal caves and the kelp root caves).
Oh also if you recommend a different order of biomes on the list and a different order for the outcrop highlight that would be helpful too
