My first time through I did a lot of that, weather didn’t help. Try to spot the various landmarks, drop beacons as you explore to help you navigate. Watch your compass. I tend to look back at other beacons (drop pod, sea truck, etc) to see how far away I’ve moved, it helps.

So I died on my hardcore world because I searched in the Koppa Mining Facility for diamonds without a rebreather (yep), what are the best places to build a base? Want to try somewhere that isn't so close to my drop pod but isn't in a place without resources.

Nope! It's manual throughout the entire game!

It does technically get easier if you have a Seatruck Dock since you don't have enter and exit your base constantly.

Hey yall, I just got the game, tried to play it, got after the 1st cutscene and.... there was nothing. Empty geometry, no flora, fauna, dialogue, nothing. Just some simple grass on the ground. The drop pod has a non functional fabricator and empty storage. No dialogue plays, nothing is happening. Apparently this was a bug in 2021, but I cant find a solution. I was told to ask for an Ignis, anyone know if he could help me

I have seen this, and the cause was: Game had no write access in C:\ProgramData\Unknown Worlds. Temporary fix for that: Run game as administrator. But windows had folder perms badly massed up.

That was just a thought since I played the original game first time on freedom and if I remember correctly couldn't eat anything. Then I played ot again on survival and learned for example that eating raw bladderfish gives some oxygen

Ok I just found out the Aquarium actively COLLECTS fish from around the seatruck on the side of being a decorative module and now I have a lot more respect for it.

It takes about 27-42 damage per hit, so you can withstand about 3, maybe 4 before your prawn breaks.

There are a lot of crevices and crystals in those areas, so you can find safe areas to repair pretty easily.

A Seatruck with the Perimeter Defense System is a good way to go though.

Using it while being attacked will make the leviathan let go, dealing no damage if you can time it correctly.
