I enjoyed both, but BZ is a follow up (not direct sequel, but makes more sense if you’ve played the first one). And many people enjoyed the first one more, although I still think both are amazing games. So I’d say if you could only pick one, Subnautica is definitely a solid choice BZ has some great QoL improvements but now that Subnautica has had some of the things from BZ ported over, such as being able to pin recipes and the large basebuilding rooms, some of those things aren’t as much as a factor as they once were. Still you can’t go wrong (imo) with either one but Subnautica is still one you’d want to play first, regardless

What blueprints and where did you get without scanning (or picking some new material up for the first time)? You shouldn't get blueprints by just entering a base...or did you happen to scan habitat builder outside one of the bases and then walked in the base? Scanning habitat builder unlocks several blueprints, and there is a small delay as it first unlocks the habitat builder blueprint.

You can, however, build base pieces below foundations, so some base configurations can only be built in a specific order

It’s a different approach. And there are certainly some story issues, which you may not notice much of that at the beginning. Still doesn’t mean it’s not a very enjoyable and well made game. People often love a certain game experience, such as Subnautica, and when a next game deviates in ways from that experience, they don’t “like it” but eh, it’s fine, everyone can have their own opinion. Enjoyed both games immensely

||As most people know Marguerite Maida the sole survivor from the Degasi crew, she was of course infected by the disease that was cured by the emperor leviathan enzymes, but in one of the PDA logs you find from her talking about how she survived living inside of a dead reaper leviathan she killed, while she was still being affected by the disease there were the peepers that came through the vents that led to the containment facility and those peepers had a sparkling trail because they carried the enzymes in them, so my theory about how she got cured was she ate some of those enzyme carrying peepers and eventually fully cured herself||

Bad graphics drivers (do you know what you have and how to get them)
Bad settings that the cloud is subjecting you to, your best bet is turning off cloud saves and deleting everything related to subnautica after uninstalling it, check my documents etc)
Or third you have a hardware issue (playing on old laptop? Dodgy ram? Do any other games fail)

Since you can't switch to Legacy with MS store, you can use the dlls from Subnautica they'll work fine as it's the same code, more or less.

Don't worry, I'm not bashing below zero. I love below zero alot most for its beauty alone. And cool concepts to ice worm and shadow they were so cool. I will still go to my save games to just only see them. Even sea monkey are so cool for me.

It depends on the tilt of the Seatruck, if you parked it at too much of an angle it’ll make you swim

If you zap it too early, the leviathan will still grab you and do damage before you can charge and zap again. You need to time it right

Yes, they can be killed quite easily with the seatruck. Just ram it (about 20 times). But for normal story game play this is completely unecessary as the seatruck perimeter defense does an excellent job. 0% damage when zapped when the chewing animation starts 🙂
