Why you want to skip it? Do you want to finish the game in half of the time? No, the entire Sam's storyline is not required to "finish the game". The problem is that you skip the main reason why Robin came to 4546B in the first place, to find out what happened to her sister Sam. The other plot is actually the quest how to get away from the planet. That is what Robin meant when she said "I will find my way back" when she came down to the planet in the first place. So we have the entire story about her sister Sam, which includes Maida and Alterra, and we have the entire story around ||AlAn and how to get away from the planet|| after she has peace of mind regarding her sister. So sad that the game does not enfore to complete Sams story and let you go without even touching it. But that is my personal opinion. If you dont want to play that part you are missing out a lot of good stuff, including important scans to build your base.

You mean her seabase? There are video tutorials how to find it? When you are at the "pilots last known position" turn around to north/east and go down into the crevices and search for light sticks, then follow the light sticks until you find her base eventually. Craft some beacons and mark important place you find with a beacon so you always find the way back. You will have to go there multiple times.

Yes, you first need to go to her base. There are some very important scans and an item you have to pick from the floor. Don't leave without that item. Then you get a task from Maida and then you can go and do the tower thing.

There is another method but it's a bit more complicated. Basically I made a script to convert the MS format of your save to the normal Steam / Epic way.

It's a python script, so the idea is to convert them, remove the files you want to remove, and place the save slot in a particular folder in order for MS to convert them back.

In this case, you can do it when the game isn't launched.
