Lilypad is four fold, its the floating island, the lilypads on top of the water for a landbase, lilypad crevices, and deep lilypad cave. I have bases in all four of them.

Having both played Subnautica and Below Zero there is something I've noticed which disappoints me having spent alot of time building huge bases. And that is its gets lonely. There is no NPCS walking around doing stuff in your bases. Like you spend hours and hours making these really good looking bases but they are empty. Why didn't the devs when doing the story make it when you did certain parts of the game or made certain parts of the base them NPCS as part of the storyline did stuff in your base. Side Quests for example.

If you noticed fish, or terrain stopped showing up, that happened to you.
If you saved when it occurred, the game can’t save in that state because there’s something that’s corrupted the generation of the world data, so it gets stuck.
Unfortunately it’s probably killed your save (this wasn’t fixed because we never could find ways to reliably reproduce the bug, and if you can’t reproduce it, you can’t fix it, sadly)
I suffered this bug twice on Xbox One X, once on PS4, and once on Switch, so I know how much it sucks and can be frustrating.
In my experience the only remedy is if you catch it occurring, is to force quit before saving, and just take whatever progress loss you have at the time you notice the world is no longer streaming (terrain, fish, whatever)
If you try to save, and it gets stuck saving, it’s often too late (although there are some reports of force quitting the game, and some people will have their save still work, that never ended up happening for me though😔)

Did you notice terrain stopped loading or fish or anything weird?

i was trying to get a second scanner cuz mine got stolen and i couldnt find it (i shut off the game by now btw) but no everything was loading fine

the outcrops just suddenly stopped giving and then when i went to save to quit it just never saved fully
