The game doesn't show the save slot if screenshot.jpg or gameinfo.json are corrupted. If scene-objects.bin is empty you've lost equipment / progression / inventory. If global-objects.bin is corrupted you've lost bases and vehicles. .BatchObjects and CellsCache can safely be removed without any major issue (the world will be branch new as you probably know). If the two first files are corrupted, just take them from another game in the same game mode.

the way that i did it was i got out into the open for it to grab me, it grabbed me so i latched onto it with the grapple arm and then just started drilling, after it let go of me i made sure not to let go of the grapple arm and stayed as close as i could to its head while drilling all the while
