Both the Twisty Bridges and the Thermal Spires are resource-rich, you can hook up Thermal Power or start a farm for one or two Bioreactors. You could even use Solar Power.

They can or not be in a certain wreck, but they’re not completely rng either. They’re found in certain wrecks and not others, depending on the piece of kit you’re trying to unlock

If they aren't in a wreck they're supposed to be, it means you already unlocked the technology before loading the batches you're in.
If you find a databox for the same technology in two different places, it just means you loaded both before acquiring the technology. If I unlock the repulsion cannon at the start of the game, the databox near lifepod12 won't appear.
No RNG there. It's the same for fragments (with the difference that most fragments are parts of the RNG, but they don't appear in biomes you never went if you already have the technology).

Got modification station and alien containment put all my eggs in the containment (btw this is on 7 hour maybe 8 hour save )
And I go to save my game cus I was sleepy and I wanted to go to bed so I go to save my game and my gave saves successfully and I leave the game
The next day (aka today ) I get on and

and you shut down windows with the external power switch, so windows doesn't write properly

My saved game is just not there it went poof completely dissappered

I made sure I left below zero the game before I used the external power switch

NEver, ever do that. Shut down windows properly, else windows will NOT finish writing disk
Don't even use the power switch if you don't absolutly must

Is it just me or does it seem like it's difficult to scan fragments on only 75 seconds of oxygen?

you are wrecking so much, windows updates etc etc. Good thing windows is damage resistant
