Still part way through building it but I'm taking a base from the Floating Island, and above the floating island, all the way down to the bottom of the map, I'm at the Gargant Leviathan Skull so far and still going - takes 10 minutes in a sea moth to get from the top the build area lmao and I'm yet to walk the whole length as it'll take forever lol. The frame drop is hysterical- as soon as you get out the build tool it goes to about 10FPS, and if you build anything it hangs for about 5 seconds at the end each time lol.

In a word, no. You can put them next to each other, so you can just jump between them, but you can't build one common corridor between them. It's like building two separate bases apart from each other and then starting to build corridors or foundations towards one another - you can do that, but they still be two separate bases, they will not connect.

I think my favourite spot so far in BZ is on the edge of the tree spires just above the northern-most vent garden. Unfortunately a couple of the leafy hypno-acid-trippy-fish made my life misery there, despite being basically harmless...
Nice thermal power supply nearby though, and the major predators' territory doesn't seem to extend that far - although you can see them out the window not far away.

my first full playthru, my main base by the lost river was 2 moonpools, a multipurpose room, and a scanner room
my second playthru i spent hours making a good base in the same spot lol

i literally just set up like three corridors. one with storage, one with vending and coffee machines, and one with the necessities (fabricators and chargers) and more storage if theres room
thats just until i get the cyclops
then i set up like a proper base inside
and turn my old base essentially into a power outlet for my batteries and power cells with one moonpool for the vehicle not docked in the cyclops (usually the seamoth)
