@thorny river it's not a very big base i just have an overall bad computer with a good gpu
so normally my frames are great but regualar sized habitats cause a lot of lag
my cyclops on the other hand,,,,,,, let's just say that that thing's pretty crazy. i can post some pictures soon

Filling the walls with storage on the bottom floor of cyclops was enough storage for me. My cyclops was a mobile base, and I had outposts all over with batteries and power cells

I still charged my batteries, I felt it too annoying to have to go alll the way back to a hot place for a few minutes to go allll the way back to where you needed to go. Where as the initial investment I made with the outposts removed that problem.

I did use the heat module when I was in the ALZ though for the story

for reference, all of that storage you can see is just from going out on a resource collection run. taking my base apart to build a new iteration filled it completely, as well as all of the storage I had empty in my original sub, which was 20 other large storage

I'm a bit worried 300 cases isn't enough to move the remainder of my material into my base

aight, after many hours and many weird glitches... i present to you: The Atlantis Research Colony, this Colony can support up to 80 individuals and many more if truly wanted, the colony also has many comfort areas for the employees to relax in as well as 15+ water filters! in the back you have your cyclops moonpools, each containing a cyclops, there are 4 moonpools that house 2 P.R.A.W.N suits and 2 seamoths for resource collection and research, the colony also holds many research areas, including fauna study as well as floral research, you can also find a kitchen, dining area, and storage to the left, the main entrance supports a waiting room incase you need to wait to get in, this habitat will never run out of power, as 4+ nuclear reactors support it along with extra bioreactors incase of emergency.

Deep lily pad base is done. Not gonna lie, i kind of burnt out on building bases while i was working on this one but i decided to power through on it. That being said, i will not set up a poll as i usually do after this one seeing as i will take a break from building bases for the moment. I will set up a poll for the next base when i decide to come back, whenever that may be. I guess that’s it for now, thanks for being supportive of my base building guys.

been playing too much below zero, decided to go back to subnautica and build an actual cool base. Things to note here:

1. the two alien containment towers are both entirely surrounded by glass, the big one is for the egg hatched creatures, and the small one is for catchable fish like peepers. the really small on on the side is for my two cuddlefish :)
2. the creepvines look hella sick
3. every growable flora and fauna is in this base. for flora, i divided them into growbeds for each one, adding creepvines for lighting. the land floras are inside.
4. you may notice tiger plants are missing. theyre not, theyre just in a timeout about 50 meters away from my base, because they are (bad word here) and keep destroying my base.
