#🏠awesome-bases
1 messages · Page 38 of 1
it's not supposed to let you do that either
if there's something in the way, you shouldn't be able to connect or build something in that space - like you can't put a window or another base module where you put the vehicle upgrade console
always have backup rubies man
I always have a whole locker with a sign above it saying "shinies" full of diamonds and rubies - because you need them an awful lot
Now I got half locker of rubies and one full locker of diamonds.
Rubies I agree
Diamond though?
They usually come as a "aw cmon, I just want lithium" early game to me :p
Yeah but in total you need what, 15 diamond for a playthrough?
while I'm always running out of lithium
I guess my fondness for deep bases shows a bit
but
there's loads of lithium in the Mushroom forest? big and small deposits both? I usually do two runs with a Prawn that has 2 storage modules and I'm set for the entire game
I generally do an early trip to the strider leviathans as first source of lithium, before even getting a prawn
I kinda like having a big base and I prefer adding lithium-based reinforcements over bulkheads and the like
In the early game I go to the quarantine enforcement platform, caves there are full of lithium
yeah that one works too
depends on my mood generally tbh
I just like the striders they're so cool
and the wreck there has some cool stuff iirc
(as well as an entrance to a sanctuary, but that's only important if you care about the lore)
striders?
I think they mean sea treaders
oh the sea treaders
In my creative file of Subnautica, I had to remove a room so that a Sea Treader could carry on. It wasn't smart enough to go around. XD
I put the room back once it left.
Lmao
That's one way to annoy them I guess
I don't think I even started a creative playthrough tbh, I guess I'm a masochist who finds spending a lot of time just drilling titanium therapeutic or sthg
^
I like creative for testing base concepts, but other than that...not really. For some reason bases built in survival tend to be better, more lived in, more plausible because you gotta get from a to b and having short paths is kind of important because huge, labyrinthine builds look cool but are a pain to actually navigate
Only labyrinthine part in my survival base is the aquarium part
But yeah I agree, when you need to actually play in a base, you tend to taek practicalities into account, while in creative that'd arguably be less important
I like my beds to be near an aquarium
I suppose my bedroom blueprint is generally unimaginative
Bed, windows, bar table, coffee machine, a couple lantern trees, and a desk + chair + aurora miniature combo :p
i always place the plushie on my bed
it looks awesome
and yeah i dont like creative aswell for the same reasons
Plus again, I don't mind the mining trips
they're kinda calming
So it means terraria 1.4 will release before so I should have time for a vanilla playthrough and a moded playthrough before below zero 😄
bed goes into observatory. always 😄
oh yeah deff
i do like placing planters in observatories tho
so usually its a 50/50
I like putting external planters outside of windows - looks great looking out
HAH! Found it again, old lava zone base. Save's long gone, but darn was that thing my favorite living place. Named the three sea dragons that float around the castle.
Think I posted the rest on here years ago. No idea how long discord cashes things.
Sweet mother of Mary and Joseph
Made custom picture frames too. Center tower was hydroponics with an executives quarters on the top floor, farthest back tower was the laboratories and alien containment, back right was the dormitories and personal storage, and the small frontal tower was the mess hall and recreation rooms. It was a darn good base.
Nice base, Ithharr.
Do those annoying leeches latch on to bases, or only vehicles?
looks good the glass coridors are a bit to long for my taste but it looks awesome!
Not that I know of Nerdy. Only ever had them attach to the cyclops and the prawn. Would occasionally need to lure the jerk sea dragon that lived by the lava waterfall away but that was about the worst of it.
My Cyclops base in SN1
lots of plants
all from the floating island
Also, on the wall you cant see in the first photo, I have two battery chargers and a wall locker.
Why no bed
He doesn't need sleep. He's a boss
XD
Sleep is irrelevant
Also I forgot about beds
I might add one somewhere
Idk, I never use them
whyd you block the decoy tube?
It's still reachable
Nice set up. All I usually put in my Cyclops is a fabricator, and a grow bed.
@cedar wharf I put ming plants in front of the decoy tube instead of two more lantern trees so that I could reach it.
oki
nothing I can do about the legs tho
make it lower or not on a cliff :p
I aint about to rebuild this whole base
and part of the reason its elevated is for the moon pool
Why do u have so many hatches
You got bored of walking around to find an exit
have it at 0.01
^
Why didnt you hang the moon pool off the ledge then? Its built in space!!
^
My hull integrity is like 170
357
Dang
The moon pool was build for both a sea moth and a prawn suit
Yea... jump jet and grapling hook... you can get anywhere
I think to get rid of legs, you can chain your components either higher or horizontally so it's really far from below, then deconstruct the intermediary components. That's how I got my Tree Cove base to 870m.
You can try to use foundation platforms to fix the leg problem. Sometimes those platforms will just float randomly. It might work, but I'm not sure. It just depends on how the platforms interact with the environment.
Oh shoot
Impressive
Can you even reach the stuff in the back like the radio, and modification table?
yes
you can
once you enter
you stand on the bed
you can walk on the bed
and reach the stuff in the back
thx
I am thoroughly impressed
me 2 man
i wonder if i can fit it inside a single corridor
If you remove some pots, definitely
thats sick
storage tho
bit on thye low side :p
would be the perfect base for my nomad world
oh yeah there's 4
not 5
one is over here
the whole island
a snowman is included
ok
here
just so you know where the island is
jeez this will be great
ok
bridge to the main island? DONE
now,moonpool
done
ok
i love responding lately
lemmejust put signs
here it is
right at the enter
so
where should i make a base now?
u could have made a corridor with a bunch of vertical tubes from ur scanner room and coridor base thing
I see no god up here
Other than me
Okay nearly done
Now I just need to farm one or two full prawns of quartz and extend the glass tunnel all the way above the lava
nice
Awesome! I love how the lights from growbeds interact with orange-y light from the lava! Super cool!
Is this right outside PCF?
Yup qbit
Wanted to see how bad the pressure/depth was on integrity
And the answer is : it's goddamn horrible xD
Does the big boi attack your base?
Nah the big boi is a good boi
He just spits fire at me sometimes when I'm going through but that's fine
Lava lizards are an annoyance tho
yes
any cool below zero bases?
Yeah, but none that I made
RandomGit u russian?
id say so from the text
@river whale I speak some Russian...
Rude
Im wondering why the last picture of an awesome base is 16 messages up
Hol up... The bot doesn't detect Russian insults @river whale...
@forest hill watch the language please
buildin' another base
TADAAA
also yes im russian
but this is just a small part of it
the whole thing
and the POOL OF DOOM ™
Why you don't put hatch
i did
I don't see it sry
well
its so long
that you cant see it
lemme get down rq
here
also
that ladder
Oh
How many meter deep ?
It's surface base ?
erm
i started it underwater
but got it above the water
my next project will be the bridge from the lifepod
to aurora
and both islands
is it a good idea to make a base-way in survival from Aurora to the sea emperor? 🤔
no
but why? 😄
Your rich of titane ?
no))
its impossible
item titanium OVER 9000
Lol
its impossible cause you cant make a tunnel into the PCF
PFC ?
primary containment facility
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
you can but it wouldnt be a tunnel per say.
how do you build modules outside of water? only with console commands?
You’ve got to either stack them or go off of an existing surface above water, such as an island or a very shallow foundation
well, stacking one level up is easy, what about next?
I guess you build a compartment heading out, build a hatch on top, and then pop out, make the thing, go back in, deconstruct the hatch, and then the compartment, then build a ladder, repeat
@echo coyote I see you also made a practical Tower of Babel.
yep
Not sure what kind of elaborate base I'll come up with in Below Zero's creative mode.
Im working on the pillar of agelion, (may or may not have ||stolen|| The idea from RandomGetGud)
Current status of lava base : coffee break room and interior garden done! (including all types of vegetables for a varied diet!)
Also yeah that glass corridor + observatory kinda looks phallic. But I wanted to gaze lovingly at the environment without seeing my moonpool x)
lookin good
Looking hot
smokin' hot
that base gives quite a warm welcome
A little bit of heaven right in the middle of hell ^^
Wow
was that done on survival? If so that is a lot of glass
Glass is so expensive, especially if you don’t have a ||prawn suit|| with ||drill arm||
I'm still surprised how you found enough resources for so many multi rooms
or the quartz for all of those windows
spending too long on it is my guess
Quartz is quite abundant in the blood kelp walls.
how does one enter said donut?
you don't enter donuts
The donut Is the best base here
its the pandorica
So when you guys build a base what is in it
decorations
radios
fabricators
storages
bio/nuclear reactors
water filtrations
what about a moonpool
PLANTS
ALL OF THE PLANTS!
that's what I put in my base 😄
oh, and the alien containment thingie full of all of the fish
Generally
-A storage room (lockers on every wall)
-A crafting room (mod station, recharge, fabricator, health packs, windows, trash bin, generally situated above the locker room)
-A food alien containment (full of reginalds)
-A decorative alien containment (varied fishes, mesmers, etc)
-A bedroom above the decorative containment (bed, desk, miniatures, lantern trees, coffee machine, etc)
-An observatory (chair, lightswitch, coffee)
-A garden (potatoes, melons, bulbo, lantern)
-Multiple exterior planters (shrooms, gel sacks, blood oil, creepvine, decorative flowers)
-Two moonpools
-Thermal plants if possible
-If not, nuclear or bioreactor
-If bio, one alien containment full of my most hated species of the moment (generally crabsnakes or crabsquids)
-One purification room with 2 to 4 water purification thingies depending on how fancy I'm feeling
-Lots of spotlights if in a dark area
-a scanner room
And I think that's mostly it
Moonpool, thermal reactor for power/ bioreactor, nuclear often costs too much to maintain for a base that isn’t near the surface, marblemelon, lantern trees, and bulbo trees to power the bioreactor/ be a sustainable food source, a bed to pass time(to let things charge, grow, etc.), creepvine, blood kelp, deep shrooms, acid shrooms, and gel sacs in the exterior growbed, some wall lockers, fabricator,
I use alien containment for a food storage so i dont have to go outside lookin for a fish for 2 minutes.
observatory bedroom. bed plus one glowy plant of your choice 😄
A world I built a whole bunch of bases in. Decided to put some lore behind it all.
Altera following the return of Ryley Robinson, decided to create a dedicated presence on the planet 4546B. They set up a number of bases each dedicated to a specific task that the corporation was interested in in regards to the planet.
Pictures of the bases are in the google document attached below. I did this to keep the chat from being absolutely flooded due to the high volume of pictures. Hope you all enjoy.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mkKTrV043e9FLvX3rdAHrWYEqldPz2ZF4IVDMJKT7-g/edit?usp=sharing
Please do be kind as this took a great deal of time and I had to work with depressingly low amounts of FPS (Later in the project about 20 FPS was the norm and the game crashed frequently)
Thank you.
I like that you made lore for each base and stuff
I always wanted to do that for my bases
Did you make these in survival or creative?
Creative
I hate to think of the resources needed to make all of them 😅
Use nocost...
I use creative because I just want to focus on building the base
I don't want to worry about creatures and stuff killing me or worrying about food.
Its just easier to do it in creative
Sometimes I switch to survival after though
it isnt easier in creative imo
in survival or freedom u make ur base from start to beginning
it makes it easier to make a base imo bcuz u dont make stuff u dont need or not enough
idk hard to explain
what
are you saying that survival/freedom is easier because you you don't make extra stuff?
Like you only make what is necessary?
The point is
When you build in survival, you'll likely LIVE in that base, and play in it
so it usually makes you end up with bases that feel more organic
that feel more practical
made to be useful, not just for the cool factor
then again, I'm a terrible example of that, because most of my survival bases are DEFINITELY majorly cool-factor-driven
When you build in survival you usually build to the bare minimum, so that you can conserve resources and make sure you have resources readily available nearby
@lilac rapids that one is only true in your first playthrough though
Personally all my bases are made in survival, even modded ones, 'cos I find mining in subnautica weirdly calming
But as I get to make them with the ressources I mined (usually 3-4 full prawn worth) they get built stage by stage, and I still "live" within
My only "impractical" base is probably my aquarium park, with like 10 alien containment for one (big) species each and one mixed one with one of every single fish. But it was a nice challenge! (Also I stripped the shallows and a couple other zones, including the dunes, of quartz, to get enough :p)
Have any of you guys finished subnautica
Yep, me
several times, yes.
and I agree with @stoic aurora - survival bases tend to have a more lived-in feel and tell the story of your game. Where you go, what you bring back, what you spend time on etc.
I usually plan out basic base concepts (location, style, layout, proportions) in creative, but I found that while the core idea remains the same, they subtly tend to change for the better in survival.
I mean, owly, I'd imagine most of the people just messing around with base building have finished the game at least once
I didn't 😄
😮
I tend to like having all the recipes / materials available before going into base building, regardless of the game
that said for terraria, one could argue that you get all the base building stuff before lost river
uh
subnautica
(was thinking of liking to go post-moon-lord in terraria before really making stupid bases)
I went in blind, and when I was about to build a base, I started a creative thingie to choose a spot and to get the hang of how it all works. Because figuring that out in survival with having to eat and drink at the same time is just stressful
So that became a thing. I'd come up with a base concept, hop into my creative test world, build the bare bones of it to figure out roughly where everything goes, and then I'd start a survival game to actually build build it with all the details and whatever comes to mind
yeah I just like figuring things out and frankly I didn't mind the eating stuff
cue the big disappointment when I found out that you can't build on the bulb bushes like you can in the mushroom trees 😭
always had a bulbo tree at hand anyway
I had such a great idea for a base that sits on one of the big ones
yeah too bad, had the same reaction
that and the floater thingies
probably my favourite two biomes in terms of general colour
the mushroom forest is a great place, but the water is so murky you don't have much of a view 😦
but the bulb bushes are pretty and so are amp eels
(and one thing bothers the hell out of me - that modules aren't centered on foundations
WHYYYYYYYYYY
it makes it so hard to build symmetrical things)
Yeah that's one of the reasons why I stopped using foundations
also that you only can connect things in four set directions
makes it hard to build in a way that fits into a natural landscape
like following the shape of a cliff
for me, i look at a subnautica map, decide 'where shall i build the base this runthrough' before i even start the game
helps me figure out what do i need first, all that sorta thing, like if i'm gonna build in a more dangerous zone, or a deeper zone, then i want the seamoth before i go make my base
foundations sUCk bcuz they arnt centered but i do get why
the normal tubes (forgot the name) are centered on it
they are more made for tubes than for multi rooms
which sucks imo
Degasi could place their bases in middle of foundations.... And look what happened to them!
thats 100% worth it
agreed
I'll virtually always have at least one early game base at the geyser
access to thermal vents is generally a strong criteria for my choice of location x)
me2
You are an absolute madman
You have the stones to build behind the aurora
You are clearly the superior being here
its actually not that scary there
besides the 1 reaper
yeah
actually 3
one at the engine
one behind the nose
one behind the..
middle?
yes
i have reached absolute height
I think the 3rd was to the right
base on the aurora
has a nuclear reactor
4 alien containments
ladder to the island
(so i can supply resources/fish etc)
1 bio reactor
1 scanning room
creative ofc
i would've had to dump barely every single resource on the planet to make that ladder
Why are there compartments scattered around?
I mean
There was that dude who made a 1500 depth ladder
in survival
in the crater's edge
the aurora isn't higher than that :p
how did he manage that in survival?
well
Gamer level skill, courage, and lots of resources.
he had a LOT of patience
then again there's a lot of titanium to be mined in the ILZ
(/drilled)
Right now I'm still enlarging my deep base's size, and every time I go out to drill I find 3-4 titanium veins neatly packed somewhere in a nook
Also as a side note I believe metal scraps respawn
not sure tho
not saying how'd he get the resources, i figure that's the easy, if tedious, part, it's more, 'how did he build that big a ladder in a place where at least 3 leviathans will be trying to eat you if you spend too long there?'
stasis rifle
basically
you shoot the stasis rifle at the ladder conduit
and it gives you a protective bubble
ah, fair enough, keep forgetting that exists, since i almost never use it
It's pretty useful when you just want to build and not kill stuff
Building near the PCF, I keep stasising lava lizards whenever I do serious amounts of exterior work
smart
@echo coyote cool base! how long did it take to build?
erm
around 4 hours from the start
first beating the fear
then making basic stuff
then decorating everything on the lower base
then makin a bridge
and then foundations and hallways ladder
and then the base deco and the ladder
So guys
have you ever tried making a base
that you can enter
only
by riding one of those birb things on land
that would be so cool and such a waste of time
No
The chances of a SkyRay landing right wherebypu want it to are basically 99% impossible
Where you***
so how do I share a picture here from the PDA?
ok I'll explain it first, one cylinder with a hatch, a fabricator and a radio. Not an awesome base, but my first base
u click on the share button in the screenshot menu
then it pops up on steam
can go to like show on disk or something then copy paste
Neat
I'm planning to move but I'm not sure where and how because I only have the little submarine and I don't even have the therma energy things to make energy
LR around the big tree can be pretty good, lotsa mats, just make sure to take a bit of lithium to reinforce bulkheads with
Ok
I just need to find the battery charger and the things to upgrade my submarine
The problem is that all the guides are from over 1 year and the map has changed... :(
You’ve got to remember that subnautica is an old ish game, and maps from a year ago can still be up to date
How old is the map you’re using
Yeah

You can google pretty much anything
Or just google “subnautica [thing you’re trying to find] location”

Helps
I think I wanna start a new game tomorrow because I accidentally started in normal mode without hunger and thirst damn it
F
Eh, doesn't change that much in the end
Hunger and thirst management is subnautica is pretty much a routine you quickly ingrain
it's a bit annoying in the first couple hours I suppose, but once you have either planters or sufficient salt generation, it's mostly a 3-6 inventory slots (depending on how long the trip you're planning is going to be) handicap when compared to freedom
Don't get me wrong I only play survival / hardcore, but it's not as daunting as it might seem
What colors would you like to see? I picked those because they would be easily visible at large distances. I plan to expand with a few more colors.
I don't particularly like the purple. Too dark and saturated
I mean, you could use jusy one colour. Those ones clash too much imo
The upper base is so big right now that it takes about 2 minutes to the change the color. The bottom one is much easier to modify: 5s for changes.
cool
That's purple? I thought it was blue
If I kept them gray, you wouldn't be able to see my base due to snow, especially 200m+ away
my new base
has a farm of stalkers
peepers
oculus's
boomerangs
bulb thingies
creepvines
acid mushrooms
also has a ladder that goes all the way to the surface
I think the ladder connects to the other half which is on the Aurora @reef lotus 😄
no,it doesnt connect to the one on aurora-
ACTUALLY
i'll do it
also foundations cause i 'accidentally' spawned a few reaper/ghosties
lol
Ur killin' it
Don’t kill it completely
sasuke

Building up to the Vesper? wow
Nice
Epic
Wow. The Vesper looks like a pease of garbage floating just like garbage wouldn't
Up close
The Vesper will be updated in the future. This is placeholder model
I still love using the dev console to make the island by the front of the aurora a huge base. I should see if I still have a picture of an old base from the very early access when that was an available thing without cheating
the one with the multipurpose rooms on top of the mountaintops?
The other island. Mountain biome
that's what i mean, has a couple mountaintops
hmm.. did anyone try to connect two bases electricaly?
did they become one electric wise? integrity wise?
i wonder about making long range grid project 🙂
far as i know, you cannot connect 1 base to another...
i mean, you'd haveta be VERY good at placements to do it
yeah... just tested it - if you already joined power source to one base, new power connectors wont even get connected 😦
seems that planetary grid project got canceled 😦
Kontaro: not quite. The one with the multipurpose room is the Floating Island. The one with the giant alien laser is the Mountain Island.
no, someone built a base going up the mountain island, since it has a pair of peaks, they stuck a multipurpose on top of each peak, with tubing linking them together, not the degasi wreck
it aint much, but its mine
Now this is an avengers level base
It kinda looks like a giant peeper
I built at roughly the same depth
except I regularly get a sea dragon clipping through it
much funnier 😄
Do leviathans attack bases?
I believe so, unless you’re in an observatory then they leave you alone
@pseudo rain how ???
Sub1? they won't attack if yer in a base, they ONLY attack Cyclops if it's in the void or if it's making noise
@sweet spoke no idea. I was just showing my sister the game, and I decided to built a base right where the sea emperor decides to sit.
Why me I can't build here 😢
odd
This is my base. I like to call it 'The Doggo'
Nice 👍
i feel that you'll have a lot of followers with that design, spawned in random places 😄
where your power comes from though?
solar panels as ears
Bork
Nice
Why so many multipurpose rooms
yes
last time i did it without most of them, joining by vertical connectors... that looked ugly 😄
now i can build alien containers inside, and plant green vines for full length, with outside windows where seeds glow
I like how the base is just called : Deeper
make the ultra oxygen tank, 135 isn't enough...
i rarely walk without seamoth/prawn, so 135 is just right 🙂
huge one will slow down, atm i dont even use seaglide to free up inventory, so speed and knife is my survival 😄
Re: Deeper - it's just deeper than Down Below in ILZ
instead having single huge base i've got so many of them it takes 30 seconds after i see game screen for them all to report powering up >.<
ooo thats cool
so one time I made a base that was 50 MPR with containment chambers so it was just a void of containment chamber
Umm, yeah. You can totally see that all the rooms are filled.
BZ now runs quite well and there are barely any performance issues with using large bases. On the other hand, MODIFYING large bases takes forever. It takes > ONE MINUTE to add or remove any piece to the green base.
I like how there are different colors for different parts of the base, like there are different sectors. Green for food production, blue for research, etc.
Wait
What happens if you connect to bases together
When they are different colors
They don't connect at all.
Thought so
That would be good for making bases close up without connecting
In fact, different bases all align differently, so you can have them at weird angles to each other. This is also how you can build bases that go through each other.
It'd be VERY helpful for me
Oof
I hope on getting Below Zero soon, I've got some sick ideas for bases already
With all the land and everything
An Upgrade Room?
Large Rooms
Best idea ever
The biggest room I ever had was a multipurpose room
It’s 4x larger than a multipurpose room
Base builders
I do
@ornate escarp By Upgrade Room do you mean an entire multi room just for upgrades?
Yeah
No need for one... I just dump an upgrade table in my room and live happily ever after.
Unsanitary people
See that clear room between the 4 moonpools? That's the new Large room. Roughly 4x as large as the MP room
||is that the one marguerites reaper skull is in?||
why do you need moonpools in the sky
Because having orbital drop Exosuits is awesome (though they end up falling through the ground since the game can't draw the ground fast enough)
Climb
Tears, time and turmoil
Build a structure right below the moonpool. Spawn an exosuit. Climb up.
Now you just need to park a cyclops up there. Hmmmm where should we put it.
Make a holster for the cyclops
Moo
.
Moo?
Shall we keep it a bit on topic guys? 🙂
Large room is a good addition to the game, Change my mind
How could large room be anything but a good addition
It couldn’t
Nice
thx
That looks awesome!
Woah that base looks so nice!
#memes-and-media for this, @coral bison.
srry
Strange base...
Got any pictures up close and from the inside @quick helm?
where is a good place for a home base in regular subnautica?
What kind of equipment do you have
haven't found the lava zone yet, but I have found the river
no depth modules on anything, but all the vehicles
everything important for a base
Probably the shallows
Plenty of resources around
Or you could do it in the grand reef, less resources, but access to LR
I do have a grand reef base, but it is really simple should I work on it?
I have a base by the engine of the aurora
Yeah, I’d recommend adding a moonpool to your base, maybe add another thermal plant, and just farm titanium and copper for a hot minute
alright
i have a lot of copper in my cyclops
but my prawn is umm...
it's on the research facility
#subnautica-chat dude
help for bases
this is to post pictures of awesome bases, not help with bases
This is my base in my main world
so big
its too big
i mostly have a x hallway
and a moonpool
and a multipurpose room w a bioreactot
late game
Read title channel, it’s not Standard minimal bases
Im beggining to build a iceb(erg)ase!
ah,i see youre a man of fog off aswell
and weather off
oh, did they finally add in the wall mounted foundations? would be nice to build on the icebergs like we were promised 😄
Symmetry
different angle - and yes, my sense of humour is almost twelve.
the name of the base 😄 it says something really immature in German
it translates to "fart hollow" which is a slang term for "bed" in my region
k
Oof
In my dimension, we refer to beds as quad legged energy refueller
damn thats eBic
f a r t h o l l o w
Reason: Zalgo usage
RIP
Another pic of the best boi
Is that the best boi tho?
yes
he eats lava lizards
lava lizards are jerks
so he's the best boi
(I don't know if he actually eats lava lizards, I hope he does)
full set if anyone wants to see x)
(had to rearrange a bit, order got messed up during upload for some reason
Idk I prefer the design of SDLs over Reapers
they are both very good
but the Good Boy is more adorable
but Smiling Huggy Boy is good too.
that smol
and why do you need 4 moonpools
there's only a seatruck and prawn suit
uhh
who cares
also yeah smol cause i wanna spawn alot of leviathans around
k,two chelis spawned
4 shadows spawned
oOH
how
idk
lol
that looks so god
Who is that?
Tony Stark?
He has a marine base?
This is indeed a bruh moment
Funny thing is Tony Stark / Ironman is my favorite marvel hero
We have something in common
Look in meme pic n vid channel
How do i put maps downloaded from Internet
Good question
Yes
the base in the mountains
really close to underwater islands
runs by solar panels and bioreactors
the solar panels are at the surface for max. light
modded stuff i asume
oo a tc?
oh
sparse reef base
powered by bioreactors, current 'collectors', and a few solar panels
the panels are at the surface, again
looks good is that at the lava entrance from the tree?
yeah
ebIC
it indeed is ebic
i think my base looks cool
looks cool a bit too many legs tho
k
No moonpool?
probs isnt at that stafe
oOoOoo looks cool
I like this one cause your kijnda looking at it from above and below surface
My moonpool
love your pic
Who’s the mans in the corner
Yeah. Pbots is an artist.
Nah
Thx
Woah holy crap that is a really good picture
Ok guys
Since they are adding Bathroom stuff to below zero
I want to lots of bathrooms
It would be a great feature if you could flush fish down the toilet as well.
@quick helm I have the biggest question going through my head right now, how did you manage to get glass compartments?!
There aren't any glass compartments in Subnautica: Below Zero.
You use the console code to unlock them. You have to unlock by their ID
This is Vesper base, created in Subnautica Below Zero It extends from the ground all the way to the Vesper Station (much taller than the Burj Khalifa). All o...
de vesper is tiny lol
Yeah, lol
I went into freecam once and saw it was tiny
Hard to tell when on the ground though
yuh
You should make a glass pathway over to an observatory in the reaper's patrol area
I never would've thought to build there. Then again, I scare easily with a Reaper, and a Warper near there.
That is true with the former. But it's very seldom that I pots around in creative.
Yknow what sucks
The observatory counts as a different Boone
Biome
So all the creatures and stuff just leave you alone
#subnautica-modding Theres a mod that changes that @lilac rapids
here we go, here my base
I've never built my base anywhere else but the Safe Shallows. 2 reasons.
1. It's like a Minecraft house, you develop and build all around the place you've pick and see the time and effort you've put into for a beautiful home.
2. I'm too damn chicken to build anywhere else.
This is my base design for the lr cove tree
That's the first time I've ever seen anyone make a schematic for their base.
Whats up with the foundation that isn’t touching anything
External garden
@woven bramble Pretty brave of you to post your desktop. If I did that, you would all see my "Definitely not porn" folder.
@uncut tiger best way to hide your private stuf ^^
Lol Yeah i don't have anything to hide on mine so
@lilac rapids WDYM? The foundations are touching something the other foundations + the green are for gardens
Ive got OCD so making a base is not as easy as you think, i have to have a plan on my second screen with all the PRECISE material numbers etc xD Just how i am @blazing ferry
You didn’t say that green meant garden so I didn’t know what it was lol
one of the bases at the floating island
oh man, who left those flippers just floating about?
😂
Wish there was a dock for the cyclops
Me too
I can imagine a Cyclops dock being quite expensive to make.
Lots of materials, I'd imagine.
Just to keep the usellessest submarine safe
Eh, maybe a little U bend cradle that caught the front of it and allowed the player under-access via ladder to the front port while charging it? Then it could apply as 'base' and be protected by 'monsters don't nom bases'?
Meh
lol
my lifepod 17 base more perspectives coming
Grand Reef Base right next to the proposed degassi habitat
right near the reaper @late minnow
Creative?
yea
Nice
the whole point of a cyclops dock is to charge it and not have to swim out n into your base
during a moment I believed that was in survival and i was so scared about the time you should have spent in the collect of the materials
but it is still a magnificient base gg
my base is so fancy it has two forklifts
Omg I wanna Be You!
😊 thank you
niceeeeeeeeee
Dang that’s a cuss word
lmoa
@wise gull it looks like if the life pod 17 people survived and built that base lol
🎵 "~He triiied to kill me with a forklift!~" "Huzzah!" 🎵
A base I built in Creative for funnsies:
@late minnow That means that he can see you, but because your in the base he cant get to you.
Not necessarily. They don't use echolocation as the pda suggests, though that would be an awesome mechanic
@pliant peak thanks m8 i thought it was a nice lil utility spot
@modern ice and a metric crapton of gel sacs
Never enough
I lost my first Seamoth with mk2 depth and storage to a reaper on my search
For the first sac
lmao is building a base nearby with 4 moon pools as well
i just think it sucks that you cant connect compartments sideways on multipurpose rooms like why only 90, 180, -90, -180 degrees and not any 45, 135, -45, -135 degrees
@late nest +1
pfft
normie
did you ever make a ladder from the back of the aurora to the top of the aurora and a full base ontop of it
oh no ... good idea i will do it maybe
@pseudo rain that looks awesome!
nice
@dim junco Thank
Toilets
good ted talk
I kinda hope they add it in below0 I mean why should Margurie be to only one to have a toilet
Nice setup.
Chad move: build a base in the aurora before fixing the radiation
Why wouldn’t you just put the bioreactor in the greenhouse and the fabricator in the storage room
Aesthetics, probably
Built in Early Development Build 16255 Apr-15
Inside is just a Fabricator, a Fragment Analyzer, and lockers.
thats pretty cool
There’s this streamer called ToolTime and his base IS GIANT
Giant is very impractical.
To complicated to easily traverse along with too far spread of resources.
Many visually appealing things are impractical, but oh well
That’s true but it looks sick
Disconnected rooms, each with its own individual purpose
The middle does have ladders connecting the levels though, just for ease of access
An outpost I built in the Crystal Caverns.
Gorgeous
is that below 0?
yesh
