the ONLY problem is that glass is found nowhere near that location as far as i know but the|| teleporters make up for that seeing as that you can LITERALY TELEPORT||

I've taken on the task of building a successful Floating Island base. It was a pain at first, but I now have everything I need. The base features a cyclops dock (with room for expansion) above a large foundation for safe PRAWN maneuvering, two moonpools, and all components required for indefinite survival without leaving the base. The base is nowhere near completion, and I'm currently working on a sub-base directly below that will be used for scanning and maintenance on PRAWN expeditions.

IMO it's a great place for a base because there are plenty of safe, useful resources nearby and in the event of some catastrophic failure the island can support me for a very long time

And because there are no indigenous lifeforms in the immediate vicinity I can almost completely customize the base's ecosystem

Fun fact: I made this base by loading up a prawn suit with storage modules and materials and jumping off the edge of the crater. It was a one way trip since there was no way of getting back up to the surface without getting eaten.

there's a trick to making colours harmonise - do a colour wheel with primary and secondary colours. nix two that are next to each other. the rest will harmonise ^^

but I wouldn't worry too much, the local biome colour filters are strong enough to mute everything in one direction, so you can p much plant whatever you want
