left bottom and right bottom are going to be outside farms.

the middle also hase farms:

the left bottom middle multipurpose rooms are sleeping ereas, the right bottom rooms are control rooms and rest rooms after a dive with one of the subs. the midle large room is an eating erea, the left large rooms hold aquaria and the right hold farms. the right upper midle multipurpose roms are for alien and plant research and the left middle upper multipurpose rooms are for fish research. the other rooms at the side with the bendy connections are still empty. The middle rooms are for a reception, storage and 2 nucleor reactors

im thinking about adding the seal sub to the submarine family and building a hopsital

From a practical and sort of aesthetic angle, putting an alien containment unit in and some interior growbeds or a hatch to exterior growbeds could look good while also being an easy source of biomatter for the reactor. Or if you want to go with am industrial look, the I think you can put water filters in on the walls and maybye some counters with lab equipment, desks and chairs setup like a controll room - could also partition it to look like controll room and reactor room

Special update on the Reefback Point laboratory on Planet 4546B

Due to an error with the base blueprints for Reefback Point, the staff has had to restart the construction. The entire former structure was deconstructed over the course of four days. After which, the foundation was modified and extended to accommodate the updated laboratory blueprints.
Fortunately, the relaunch of Reefback Point’s construction is proceeding very efficiently. The foundation and lowest layer are structurally sound, but not yet finalized. An on-site nuclear power facility is also under construction but not yet functional.
The current blueprints detail a self-sustained layered facility that maintains itself with the natural resources found on 4546B. All personnel have been recalled to focus on getting the new Reefback Point to a functional, livable state. There is no estimated date of completion at this point in the construction process.

Construction on Reefback Point is proceeding as planned after last week’s setback. The Nuclear power plant is online with all proper safety measures in place.
The current phase of construction focuses on creating supplies of food and water to sustain the staff members. The hydrofiltration plant is finished and functional, providing an infinite supply of demineralized water to the staff. On the lower floor, an entire quadrant has been dedicated to farming 4546B’s native flora and fauna. Interior growbeds full of crops and alien containment units full of various prey fish will serve as the primary food sources combined with a few imported, off-world ingredients.
There is no date of estimated completion at this time. More details to follow.

I advise you to make a very spacious base, having enough space is essential for materials, reactors, the scanner room is good when you need hard-to-find materials (such as lurker fangs or data boxes, etc.) more than anything as it suits you

just finished my first ever playthrough of SB (after playing SBZ first due to it being the less spoiled one for me)
my first base build bigger than ~4 rooms, wanted to take some time to make it look good :)
its still fairly empty, but I am happy enough with the shell for now. Will go back to fully finish the interior soon! (Just sick of the resource grinding for the moment haha, ended up mining all quartz within the max scanner range of 500m just for this base xd)

I actually built one right next to the Aurora and even added alien containment tanks and an exterior growbed full of plants. When the Aurora blew up, all the solar panels got destroyed, the Seamoth in the moonpool got destroyed, the plants got destroyed, and all of the animals in containment died except the cuddlefish (which is powerful enough to survive a nuke apparently).

so in sub zero whats a good place to build a base

Usually the strat is to build multiple smaller bases across the map to reduce travel time and near valuable resources so you can easily get to them.

Near Delta Island there’s lots of thermal activity and just south-east there’s a good spot to collect Lithium, silver and gold, as well as being close to koppa mine which houses lots of diamond, ruby and titanium.

It’s also quite central on the map so if that your main/only base, you could easily go to most places pretty quickly.

Only thing with the all the nearby hydrothermal vents is that it’s a little harder to find a flat spot, but I’m sure there’s space somewhere. Also mind the Cryptosuchus nearby, as well as the Squidsharks south of there, but that shouldn’t be an issue as long as you’re not wandering too far off.

Started my first hardcore run. Got this as my starter

This is my base (pc version). 🙂 I used a multipurpose room as the main room with the most important things in the game, and then built additional secondary rooms for everything I discovered while playing. In the corridor between the moonpool and the first multipurpose room (the main one with the most important things), I built two rows of lockers, each with its own name, so I can quickly find the materials I need. I didn't photograph the vehicles to avoid spoilers. P.S. I recommend new players build their base in an open space, so you have room to expand your base as you discover new things. 🙂 (Here you can find more images #🏠awesome-bases message)

If you like that base, you can do it too. All it takes is a lot of patience to gather the materials and dedicate some of your time to building it little by little every day. 🙂 Maybe you can try making that base first in creative mode and see if you like the result. Keep in mind that the larger your base, the longer it will take to build. 🙂

Your best bet in finding resources like titanium cause that’s a main resource you’ll need is to just scan fragments you’ve already scanned. There’s a lot over by the crash in the sparse reef. You can also check some of the crashes in the bulb zone. And I know the mushroom forest has a piece of the ship with some loot.

Everything else that is put in certain biomes is relatively easy to find.

The Outpost Network, a series of outposts and bridges im building to make traversing the crater less fearful and more interesting

For iotas edge ive changed it a bit to be a vertical connector connecting all the way to the bottom of the crash zone basin

That way i can scan for resources directly on the resource rich floor and plateaus

For theta ive expanded the base a bit and also built a bridge between it and Gamma to connect power sources (since Gamma is a thermal plant station)

Unfortunately i havent been to Omicron in a long time so i dont have any pictures of it, its just really hard to get there without dying lol

Im gonna build the Iota-Omicron bridge soon to solve this issue

Hi! Since you also like Subnautica (and Soma), since I also had a PS4 like you, and since I also like technology like you, I wrote a little guide for you on how to transfer your screenshots from your PS4 to your smartphone. All you need is a USB stick and a simple USB-to-USB-C adapter that costs a few euros.
So, as you already know, to take screenshots on your PS4, just press the "Share" button. Once you've taken your screenshots, simply connect a USB stick (preferably empty so there's no risk to your data if formatted) to your PS4, then "go to the "Capture Gallery", select the desired screenshot, press the OPTIONS button and choose "Copy to USB storage device". Select the desired files and confirm the operation by clicking "Copy". The PS4 will create the necessary folders on the USB stick" (source Google).
After disconnecting your USB flash drive from your PS4, connect a USB-to-USB-C adapter to your USB flash drive and then connect your flash drive to your smartphone. Then use the path you usually use to upload images to Discord, but this time browse to the files on your USB flash drive. P.S. If this all seems complicated, feel free to ignore it. I wrote all this simply to give you an alternative method for uploading clearer, more detailed images to Discord. As always, remember that I don't speak English but use a translator. 🙂
