I will preface by saying I just purchased this game an hour ago and have yet to make it into the actual game. I have no saves or history with the game whatsoever
FAILURE TO Start New Game
SNUnmanagedData\build18
Game allows me to launch, alter settings, and use the menu to fullfunctionality. I attempt to open a new save, when it reaches "Preloading Base" it will attempt to load for about 15 seconds and then display "Error loading SNUnmanagedData\Build18 (XXs)"
I have tried: deleting the contents of SNUnmanagedData\Build18 and then verifying the program via steam, uninstalling and reinstalling the game on my SSD bootdisk and HDD alike, running a chkdsk, forcing the game to run in direct X 9, and running the program itself as an administrator. All of the fixes I have listed I attempted in both the standard release and experimental branch. I am at a total loss and pretty upset that I can't play a game I just spen $23 on.
I am unable to load into the game at all, so I don't know if I can get the CS# version, f1 didn't work in the main menu
if there is ANYTHING you guys know of that can solve this I will GREATLY appreciate it as I have really wanted to play this game for a while now
By the way: that console opens up on its own and I have been unable to interact with it in any way, it seems this screen will just display forever in this form

Bug Title: Tilting the escape rocket
Details: I've managed to tilt the escape rocket to an angle where it should, by all means, be unusable. Despite this, it is still possible to open the door and launch the rocket.
Steps to reproduce: Get mobile vehicle bay, build the neptune launch platform, make the rocket, then, with the bay in the same place, create a prawn, seamoth, or cyclops. In my photos, this was done with a prawn suit.

Bug Title: Object rotation interferes with toolbar when placing items.
Details: Every time I try to rotate an object and try to rotate it, doing so either with the scroll wheel or left/right brackets as prompted in the top left of the screen, Also swaps to different items in my hotbar, making objects infuriating to place properly. (This does not seem to affect items built with the habitat builder.)

Bug Title: Animations have broken on my new save in 1.0.
Details: The animation broke with my Bulkhead door and my Moonpool ladders, they don't do the cool animation like they did yesterday evening. I'm not sure why, I haven't altered anything, just loaded my save and I went to check one of my rooms with a Bulkhead door, and it didn't work. Is this a bug, or was the animation removed? (Note: This was with the moonpool ladders once I did it with the Bulkhead door.)

Edit: I fixed it, but the animation glitched and fixed itself once I kept clicking the "Climb Ladder" on the Moonpool, then I did the Hatch, then I did the Bulkhead and it was fixed. Just an animation loading glitch, probably.

Bug Title: Dramatic seaglide movement speed increase upon swimming in and out of the moonpool of a flooded base. (player world velocity increased by 15+-)
Details: When swimming in and out of a moonpool of a flooded base with a seamoth, when you leave the moonpool back out of the base, you movement speed will have dramatically increased. This is probably caused by the linear drag not being set to water drag. Swimming speed, however, remains the same.
Steps to Reproduce: - Build a moonpool - flood the base - swim inside of moonpool with seaglide and get high enough to notice a change in speed when inside (just swim to the roof to be sure) - swim back out

Gameplay Bug Bad Blood Crawler spawns or damage resistance The entrance to the lost river next to life pod 2 In the room with the Ghost Leviathan and the lost river green mist Blood Crawler's spawn there randomly and there are quite a few of them. The issue is they step into the lost river's green mist and die extreamly fast. I'm not certain if they are suppose to spawn in this cave or not or are suppose to be immune to the mist like the prawnsuit. They seem to be rather broken in this area. Pretty easy to reproduce Trying a new game save arriving there for the 1st time and not dying and go around the floor of that room in a Prawnsuit like I am. My version is Jan-2018 59783 on Steam

Details: When you drown in game, the audio slowly fades out to muffled and then nothing.However, when you run low on oxygen in one tank and chage to another tank, the audio acts as if you are drowning; it goes muffled then fades to nothing. You are unable to hear anything for a solid 5 seconds or so.

Bug Title: Deep Water Glitch outside the thermal plant
Details: Entering and exiting the Thermal base becomes necessary for players to exploit the portal to the precursor gun as a way to get between the surface and the inactive lava zone. While piloting the PRAWN suit, grappling over a certain surface outside the thermal plant registers both PRAWN suit and player avatar as entities that entered dry land, unabling the prawn suit to thrust upwards due to the sudden presence of gravity.
Steps to Reproduce: Attempt to climb the thermal plant with a PRAWN suit equipped with a grappling arm and lean on certain surfaces around it. Gravity glitch eventually activates.

Steps to reproduce (Not sure if this will work %100, as it hasn't worked when I tried to reproduce unfortuantely, so this is just an account of what happened) Drive the cyclops a good 100-200m distance,
Suddenly exit out of pilot seat,
Sprint to seamoth/prawn suit hatch
If successful you should die immediately and spawn 2000m in the air being launched in the direction you were sprinting when you died and it should look like the screenshot

Title: Phantom Cyclops Leaks
Details: My cyclopse recieved some exterior damage from a creature attack. I went out to go repair them and all went fine except one leak would not repair. Checked the in ship report and it showed the leak I saw outside in that exact spot, but still no repairing. Tried to move the cyclops but that didn't work. Saved, quit, reloaded and not the leak was showing in a completely different area. Was able to repair it this time and it works fine now.

Title: Motion blur bug
Details: Whenever I'm moving forwards (the mode of transportation doesn't matter), the Boomerangs will do this weird glitch shown for a split second, then return to normal. If I stand still, it doesn't happen. I've mainly seen this happen with Boomerangs but I've seen it happen to a Garryfish once.
Steps to reproduce: In the graphics settings, turn to the "High" preset, turn on vsync, use fullscreen, check all boxes in the Graphics tab, then find some Boomerangs and start moving towards or past them.

Details: All i was trying to do was grab the poster on my wall, but apparently my cuddlefish was behind said wall when i right clicked, and it then clipped into my habitat and began swimming around inside it. I had to interact with it Again, this time outside of the habitat, in order to clip it back outside.

Category: Bug Title: Unable to remove base components after update (Xbox one)
Description: I just picked up Subnautica again for the first time in a month or so and started to make some base changes. But it appears that after the update, new terrain objects were added in the Grassy Plateaus. One of them goes through the side of my moonpool, not allowing for a reinforcement to be deconstructed (which means I canโt get rid of the moon pool either). Whatโs weird is the terrain pillar that was added went through two reinforcements, one was completely covered on both sides, and the other only has a small corner obstructed. I warped forward into the pillar and was able to remove the reinforcement that was completely blocked, but the one that is visible wonโt allow me to deconstruct, it shows the error message โCanโt deconstruct. None should be deconstructed firstโ. There are no other attachments or damages on/in the moon pool. Crashfish wont work, I tried damaging then fixing the base, wonโt work.

Bug Title: Reaper pulling me in to the ground while in P.R.A.W.N. and letting go
Details: So going near the Aurorus, first time with my new prawn, the Reaper Leviathan spawns over the water and lands ontop of me, grabs me, pulls me in to the ground with it, I keep punching it hoping it lets go, and it lets go, still clipped in the ground, so I fall. I fall all the way to the end-game Alien base (on top of it, still clipped in the wall on 'invisible' barriers) I have no idea what this endgame area is actually called because this is my first playthrough. But I've had this happen twice with my PRAWN suit.
Steps to Reproduce: I've just gone with my P.R.A.W.N. with no upgrades or new arms, and occasionally it'll grab me and bring me through the ground and let go.

Description: While a moonpool is partially flooded, use a seaglide from outside the moonpool, glide into it and stand on the walkway (without using a ladder) as long as it is flooded enough that you can swim onto the platform and still are able to breathe, when you swim out of the moonpool with the seaglide, you will be going at super speed.

Title: Hook goes through walls sometime.
Details: As title says... I find this happening mostly in the Lava Zone and Mountain Island. I find it really annoying and can potentially kill me if let's say a leviathan is chasing me and I can't hook onto something because it's glitching through the walls, then I'll most probably die considering how slow and heavy the PRAWN is.
Steps to Reproduce: Use booster to propel upwards and in direction you want to go to. Target a wall and grapple on to it. 70% of the time it goes through walls.

Title: No fire in lifepod on new game start
Details: After the new game animation finished usually you awake to a lifepod on fire and need to put it out with the fire extinguisher. However, in VR, this doesn't happen. The red lights are flashing, the alarm is blaring, but there is no fire. Without fire to put out you can't trigger the boot-up sequence for the pda.
Steps to Reproduce: Start game in VR mode. From the main menu start a new game.

Title: Game is open but unable to interface

Details: Game opens, then seems to disengage from all interface ability. Mouse icon goes from being the Subnautica arrow to the Windows arrow after three seconds and no options at the main menu can be clicked on. Tried using a controller as a workaround, problem persists. Cannot Shift tab to open steam overlay. Have run file integrity check multiple times, as well as a full uninstall/reinstall.
Game is unplayable in this state.

Details: After tabbing away from the game for a long while, unpausing the game unpauses movement and sounds and interaction, but nothing changes visually. Clicking on the pause menu does nothing, after two or three clicks it somehow unpauses. But again, nothing changes.

Bug Title: fish glitching into seabase
Details: I keep getting fish inside my seabase! they appear to glitch inside either through seams between compartments, or possibly through the moonpool. agressive fauna such as Biters(the only carnivores to glitch inside thus far) become passive when inside the seabase for unknown reasons. in the case of this Jelly Ray, it's a particular individual that spawns near my seabase and is often seen swimming against the walls when outside. another bug(but one that I like!) which is likely unrelated to this one(since i've done it outside of seabases with Ghost Leviathans, super fun btw) is that if I walk onto the Jelly Ray's back, I can 'ride' it(the Jelly Ray's back is treated as solid ground, and I'm pulled along with it liek on a conveyor belt) until it tilts and I fall off.
Steps to Reproduce: this glitch happens most often after opening and closing the inventory, most likely when the fish in question is close to seabase walls. do note, I use cutom keybinds(in this case the inventory button being switched from TAB to I).

Steps to reproduce: get a Cyclops and put it 0-1m below the surface to get the water sloshing, 1-2m below the surface to get the water sound effect, bubbling thermoblade and diving animation

Title: Wall hack Drone
Details: So i had some Stalkers try and take my Camera Drone, and used my stun gun to stop them, and then i killed them and they wouldnt drop my drone. The drone was stuck in its mouth and i couldnt take it out. It sank to the bottom near a wall and it clipped inside. I left the area to have the Stalker despawn and when i came back i still couldnt see my camera. I went to the observitory and now i can take my drone where ever i want underground. if i turn on Visualize Depth i can see past any static. So the first bug is that Stalkers cant drop the camera and if you wanted you could glitch the camera through walls and make it to where ever you want.

Details: Have a save right before building Cyclops. When constructing, I can see the preview of a weird graphics glitch affecting all the interior walls. When I go inside, all the walls clip constantly black and white. Image attached. Since I can also see bubbles I and a fish once clipped inside, I think it has something to do with the detection of what's inside/outside. I can reload the save and construct on any chunk, still occurs. I have cleared the cache, still occurs. I will not proceed with the game until i solve as I suspect it could affect gameplay.
I played earlier version of the game and never had this problem on my high end Mac.

Bug Title: Light "produced" by some objects sticks around in the same spot even if the object is moved or destroyed.
Details: Some objects are made to look like they're producing light aren't actually connected to the light source at all. This means that if the objects are removed or destroyed you're left with a bunch of light coming from nowhere. The easiest solution I could think of to fix this is to get rid of those light sources and actually make the objects themselves produce the light. There already are other objects like those blue corals that produce their own light so it shouldn't be a problem for other objects.
Steps to Reproduce: Find an object or a group of objects with a light source that isn't attached to it, then build a base on top of those objects to destroy them or move them with the Propulsion or Repulsion Cannon, or just simply pick the object up if you're able to.

Bug Title: Creepvine clipping and floating issues
Details: So I've seen these two Creepvines in this cave that are placed so that they're clipped halfway into the ceiling, which I don't understand, and there's also this one that's just floating there. I've also seen a lot of those side roots on Creepvines that are floating a bit. Speaking of Creepvine roots the base of Creepvine stalks should be completely stiff and static, instead of moving how it does right now. Looks odd currently.

Bug Title: Light shafts in Sea Treader's Tunnel
Details: If you're in the Sea Treader's Tunnel you can see light shafts coming down from above unless you're right up close to the cave's ceiling. There are two solutions I can see to this. One is to make the Sea Treader's Tunnel fog not produce light shafts, and the other is to make it so that light shafts are blocked even by far away terrain. I'd prefer the latter option because it would help with other areas like the Mushroom Forest, Blood Kelp, and Underwater Islands that also have areas with terrain overhangs.

Bug Title: Weird stuff with trail manager
Details: There's a lot of weird stuff that can happen with fauna that use the trail manager. Often times if an animal makes a sharp, twisty, turn the part with the trail manager will take a few seconds to turn to match the rest of the body, which lead to animals that have their front and bottom halves facing in two opposite directions, which doesn't look very good. It also seems a bit too stretchy and can cause the models to sometimes get a all wibbly on things like Warpers or River Prowlers. There should be some kind of limit as to how far trails can twist or stretch. Animals like Reapers, Ghosts, and Juvenile Emperors could also use a decently slower turn speed to help with this.
Steps to Reproduce: Just watch some animals that use the trail manager for a bit. Happens the most on River Prowlers and Sea Emperor Juveniles, but I've also seen it on other animals like Ampeels, Bonesharks, or Stalkers.

you can build wall lockers on the inside of the moonpool where the pool itself is. So basically the wall lockers are halfway in the water from the moonpool and they work perfectly while there.
Steps to reproduce: Stand on the very edge of the moonpool and build a wall locker along the sides without the ladders, I did it without a vehicle in the moonpool in creative mode.

Bug Title: Teleported outside of Cyclops when Cyclops nudged by nearby sea life
Detail: Happens frequently in Ghost Tree cave between LR and ILZ when rays swim in to the Cyclops, causing the Cyclops to move. When floor/walls occupy the same space as the player character, the character is teleported outside of Cyclops. Then you fall, as if you are not in water and if you are close enough to the ground you take falling damage and potentially die. Workaround is to place your Cyclops very high in the cave, after falling for a certain distance the player will transition back in to water/swim-mode like diving off a cliff into the water. Player will also instantly transition back to swim-mode if they fall in to the blue pools in the Tree Cove room (or green Acid pools elsewhere in the LR.)

Multiple bugs occuring while driving the Cyclops after reaching the threshold of dehydratation
Detail:
The player is able to continue driving the Cyclops, even after reaching the threshold of dehydratation and after depleting all his HP. Upon exiting the Pilot seat, the player dies and respawn outside the Cyclops. The persona respawn with a "ground" flag and not with a "in water" flag. The player receives fall damage upon hitting the ground. The Cyclops is also affected by the "ground" flag, hitting the buttom of the ocean. If the player respawn outside of a shallow waters biome, the player can die from the fall damage. If the Cyclops sink deeper than it's maximum depth capability, it can break upon entering it.
(Part of the bug is similar as the Maziani bug, but with video support)

Detail: Was attacked by a Reaper and was brought all the way to the Safe Sallows , now it basically lives there.
Steps to Reproduce: Go behind Aurora and get attacked by a Reaper , it will grab onto you and thrash you around. If it stops attacking you in a different biome it will stay in that biome. In my case it stayed in the Safe Sallows.

Details: Water does not spawn, walking on ocean floor is entirely possible, without oxygen. Prawn acts as if it's on land as well, so it cant grapple, crush depth does not matter. Jumping and Fall-damage do apply when outside of a veichle. Entering veichles, habitats, or moonpools do NOT fix the issue. Death will fix the bug for the player though (Prawn will continue to act as if on land, even when docked in moonpools or cyclops).
Steps to Reproduce: Warp from Primary Containment Facility to Koosh Zone, with some luck the terrain will not spawn, casuing you to fall through the floor. Hold W, and use your booster (I had ugraded one) and you should be able to land on the edge of the Cove Tree cave. All water, and by extension it's effects/visuals, will NOT be loaded in at this time.

Details On mountain island there is no alien structure, portal, trees, shale, lithium, and cave crawlers. But the normal sandstone and shale spawns off the islands are unaffected
Steps to Reproduce I saved(probably exited out to early before it finished) and it said damaged save file. When you load back into the world the Quarantine Enforcement Platform should be empty but the outer shell is still visual and has a hitbox. Save and restart your game it should say under save file 1 minute or however long you spent in that session(resets time basically) Load back in and the trees, shale structures etc should be missing also the structures on the floating island should be completely gone

Bug Title: Thermal Plant doorways bugged
Details: Passing next to the entrance to the alien thermal plant causes the PRAWN suit and player to gain out-of-water physics while still outside the thermal plant, resulting in falling and being trapped in the crater under the installation. Lava also deals no damage to the player when walked on, but PRAWN suit is damaged normally. Only way to escape and regain proper physics is to suicide. PRAWN suit is irrecoverable.
Steps to Reproduce. Swim/Grapple next to the entrances of the Thermal Plant, but don't enter.

Bug Title: Crashing upon loading game
Details: I recently reset my computer, wiping all of the files in the process, and I saved my "slot0000" file on a USB drive. After the wipe I reinstalled Subnautica and put the save file in the "SavedGames" folder. When I started Subnautica, the game booted up just fine and my base said "Power restored. All systems online," and I could see the game, move my character, and walk around, but then it crashed after about two seconds. I've tried deleting the "CellsCache" folder, but that doesn't seem to do anything. On one try, I was able to play normally for about 5 minutes before it crashed.

Details: Even more, if you slice the air with a knife when facing such an "entrance", it sounds like the knife's hit a solid wall and the animation is the same.
Steps to reproduce: Find a wreck leaning against Aurora (both in the ocean and inside the spaceship) that has enough space for the player to enter. Try to enter. If you can't, slice the air with a knife. You should hear the knife hit a wall while there's clearly no wall present.

DETAILS: I just explored the Thermal Plant for a bit, then left in my prawn suit. I DID go throught the portal at one point. But I came back out and got in my prawn suit and left. As soon as I walked through the barrier for the 2nd time, the water was all gone from that chamber. So I'm stuck walking around the ground under the thermal plant in my prawn suit. There is no way I have found to climb out of the lava lake below the plant. I can't get out and swim, it still acts like dry land. The creatures still act like there is water. My O2 tank isn't drained when I get out. This is on a save that is 45 hours in.
Edit: the lava doesn't damage me, it does damage my PRAWN, there are alien robots crawling in the lava.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE: No Clue, my game is broken. Only guess is that something didn't re-engage correctly when I left through the Alien Base entrance.

SOLUTION? - I died, went to the mountain island, and went through the portal to the thermal plant, then i exited through the "entrance" and I could swim again. The Prawn suit still interacts like it is on dryland. So I took all upgrades and inventory from the prawn and swam back to my cyclops. I'll have to make a new prawn suit.

Details: After dying from a Crabsnake attack, I went back to the Jellyshroom Cave to get back my Seamoth (and btw had to make another Seamoth to reach it). When I arrived to the Seamoth map marker (implying that it was still intact), I noticed what you see in the picture below. Note: this bug is more severe early-game, since I also lost the Seamoth Depth Module Mk1 (from the Aurora), and I haven't yet gotten a Moonpool.
Note: The Seamoth is NOT obtainable from any cave underneath this location. It's definitely inside the terrain.

Bug Title: Keep Taking Damage
Details: So every now and then when I come back from farming, my base will be partially flooding, or start flooding when I enter it. My reinforcement is sitting at over +200, I removed my Tiger Plant from my exterior grow bed, so that shouldn't be causing the problem. As far as I can see, I'm not clipping into anything weird, and there's no hostile mobs in the 25m shallow zone I'm in. This happens almost every time I leave and come back, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Also, I don't know if it's relevent but the front two legs of my moonpool will sometimes be halfway deployed when I come back and not actually touching the ground.

UPDATE: It seems that the best lead for the cause might be in its infancy my base displaced a Giant Coral Tube, and only in the last 24 hours of gameplay did I start traveling away from the base passed 1000m, which may be respawning the Giant Coral Tube and causing the damage.

Details: Seems to be a d3d11.dll Access Violation error according to my crash logs, occurs in the lost river in the area behind the Giant Cove Tree and the entrance to the Inactive Lava Zone. Seems to happen when I get too close to the blue brine.
Steps to Reproduce: Don't know how you would go about reproducing it but I'm usually in my prawn/cylcops getting close to and looking at a blue brine pool when it crashes (screen freezes and i can hear sound and myself moving around before it just insta closes a second later)

Details: If you are in the room in the Aurora with the pipes and PRAWN fragments and you swin down the hall to the entrance of the room with the rocket data download, you sometimes will glitch through the ceiling of the room if you come up for air and you cant get back in.
Steps to reproduce: go to the room with rocket data download or the end of the hallway with pipes in the Aurora, swim up for air a few times and eventually you will glitch through the ceiling and you are stuck.

Details: I was walking around in my prawn suit after using my drill to get some copper at around 200 meters and after using the jump jets to move back to my lifepod on the way there I fell through thee ground as though I was in the dead zone, though I clearly was not. I don't know how to get back to my base, as I keep ending up in the Lava Zone but do not have a depth module to be down that far. I can quit and restart but I saved just as I had started falling and do not have enough boost to get back up, which leaves me repeatedly falling back into the Lava Zone. Is there some way I could possibly gain console access or do something of the sort to teleport back to my base?

Bug Title: Game becomes stuck / unplayable
Details: Loading a new or saved game and instantly trying to open the pause menu gets the game stuck in that menu. Buttons have no responses, only way out is Alt-F4. output_log.txt is flooded with FMod initialization errors (log size 20mbyte for loading a new game after re-install).
Symptoms include:
- Erratic behavior of ingame mechanics after loading a game (swimming inside base rooms, doors not working, items not working, inventory or other screens not working properly)
- eventually the player will end up using the Esc / Pause menu, where they will be stuck, because none of the buttons work.

Details: inside cave where castle chamber is located and couldnt jump in prawn. Got out of prawn and acted as if I were on land as well. Steps to Reproduce: Continue an existing game. Quit back to main menu. Potentially you need to delete an existing save, but that's not verified. Start a new game (only tested "Survival"). Start, then save that game. Quit (to main menu) and select Load. Playtime in the new save is the old game's playtime, plus whatever you additionally put in. The bug is obvious; somewhere a "time(r)" is not reset to zero when starting a new game.

Big title: power percentage in the cyclops is misleading, if not downright wrong
Details: the percentage shown only accounts for the power cells that are currently in the cyclops. For example, if there are only 3 power cells, it shows 77% power. Okay, thatโs nearly full, right? Although there are 3 empty slots for the power cells! If I put in 3 fully charged power cells, it shows 89%. So, I gained only 12%??!
To my mind, the percentage should account for all the power cell slots, so, half of them empty should mean 50% maximum and so on.

Also, if I put in 5 fully charged power cells, so that one slot is empty, the cyclops shows 100% power, which is clearly not the case. It should be (100 * 5 + 0) / 6 percent.

Details: I retrieved aurora black box and went through the sealed door when I heard the alert for 10 seconds of oxygen left, I pulled out my seaglide and went to the black box room and went to the surface, I bounced up from the water surface and went through the ceiling of the room, out the map. I managed to go through the wall back onto the map and I circled around again to check if the bug would repeat and indeed it did.
Steps to reproduce: Go to the room with auroras black box terminal, pull out seaglide and press and hold the 'go up' button, once on the surface you'll bounce and go through the ceiling

Details The Platform won't render for some reason and appears to be missing entirely. I should note that it appeared just fine when I visited the island for the Sunbeam sequence. Hitting "rebuild all" does not appear to solve the problem.

Details: If a crabsnake you hatched inside an alien containment unit is damaged (a knife hit for example); it will roar and the sound effect will continue playing endlessly. Even if you pick up/kill the crabsnake or are walking around in your base, the sound effect still plays.
Steps to Reproduce: Just attack a crabsnake that has hatched inside your ACU and exit the unit. Note the continued roaring no matter what you do the crabsnake. Do note that you must be below sea level (<0 Camera world pos) or the sound effect will not play.

happens on EXP build only as of 3.10.18
Game does not load into play world "level map" properly. also encountering black screens with some screen elements still visible. cannot switch between full screen and window. also can not switch resolutions with out causing the game to stop updating the display. game is not totally frozen as if you press jump, you can hear the jump sound. looked at crash log created, and saw this message:

Steps to Reproduce: Equip the prawn suit with two or more jump jet upgrades and jump to note the distance traveled. Remove one of these upgrades and the Prawn suit will act as if there is no jump jet upgrade installed.

Bug Title: "Sticky" Grappling Arm
Details: The grappling arm will not retract when you release the grapple key if you have released it when viewing the PDA.
Steps to Reproduce: Equip the prawn suit with a grappling arm and attach the grapple to an object. While holding the key, open the PDA and then release the grapple key before closing the PDA. This will make the grapple "sticky" and prevent it from retracting until you fire it again.

Title: Falling through map in numerous places
Details: Several times while playing the game, while falling at or near terminal velocity underwater, i have glitched through the map.
Reproduce: Fall down and if you are in the right spot you will fall through the map. I know of two spots:
- Right beside the creepvine forest nearest to lifepod 5; and
- next to the first platform in the lava lake leading to the precursor base in the active lava zone. I believe it is to the right of it if you are heading towards the base like I was.

Details: In at least the Crash Zone Mesa and certain Wreck biomes the anything inside that biome will have really intense shadows that get even more intense the farther away you are from it. Almost seems like the reverse of the problem that the Grand Reef has.

Details: Found a void and went down into it with my cyclops. goes down infinitely. Go back up, hitting something above me and it's the floorbox. I phased through the floor and under the floorbox. Details: For a few moments after stunning an Ampeel, it flew around inside the precursor teleporter cave in the Koosh Zone.
Steps to Reproduce: At the precursor teleporter within the Koosh Zone, while standing inside the cave, on the ground, stun an ampeel outside the forcefield with a stasis rifle. After the stun-bubble goes away, if the eel aggroes onto you it should fly through the forcefield and into the cave. (I'm not sure if stunning it is actually required, but this is my survival world and I came here via Seamoth so I'm not willing to re-try it)

Title: Power source not linking to the base properly
Details (Solar) - Built a base at the shallow area. After putting some solar panels under the foundation, and going on a far away diving trip, I would come back to see that the solar panels would stop linking to the base (i.e. If my total power from 3 panels is 225, it becomes 150).
Details (Thermal) - Built a base right outside the Primary Containment Facility. I also tried adding a thermal plant right below the foundation. Same bug as above.
Fix - Seems to be caused by placing stuff near foundations. Deconstructing and reconstructing acts as a temporary reset fix, the above bug will eventually reoccur unless power source is repositioned.

Details: After receiving the Databank entry "Hatching Enzymes" from the Sea Emperor Leviathan, I noticed an extra PDA entry titled "Hatching Enzymes Old" was also present. The entry simply reads "STATIC" but does not interfere with any other information or gameplay.
Steps to reproduce: Unknown. I only noticed this after reloading my save so I cannot tell if this appeared right after receiving the blueprint or upon loading my game. I will repost and reference this if I am able to redo this progress in another save.

Steps to Reproduce: The mobile vehicle constructor is only able to make vehicles of the blueprints you've found before crafting the mobile vehicle, and not any found blueprints you find afterwards. So after finding cyclops and seaprawn blueprints, you'd have to make a new mobile vehicle constructor. If I remember correctly, this may have applied to egg names of spadefish eggs (even after identifying egg names, newly picked up spade fish eggs will register as unidentified)

Details: I was parking my prawn on a base foundation from the cyclops but I was too close to the base component. When I landed on the foundation the prawn clipped and got stuck half way between the foundation. I can't find any way out of the prawn. I reasoned maybe the cyclops was placing pressure on the prawn so I did the only option I had... destroyed the cyclops. Didn't help still stuck here to die.

Details: while I was in my prawn suit I lost my jump jets all of a sudden and when I got teleport d out by a Warper I found that I was walking around and the noise while walking was the same as on a cyclops. Details: After living on the border of the Koosh Zone and Mushroom forest for a while, I started noticing some Ampeels were migrating towards Safe Shallows. This wouldn't be a problem, however, every time they load in I restart the game (did some more experimentation), they seem to multiply. I have never released an ampeel into the wild before, these are all naturally spawned. To clarify, they are not all over the world, just in this quarter slice, about as common as stalkers, from the Koosh zone all the way to Safe Shallows.
Steps to Reproduce: Unknown. Maybe just live near some Ampeels for a while. If it matters, this save was created before the final release.

Details: Accasonally when i will be driving my seamoth around and if it is parked underwater at slight angle it will get frozen in place, if i attempt to enter it and get out, your player will too become frozen in place, you. this happens sometimes but not every time. Steps to Reproduce: Park the seamoth at a slight angle, hop out and the seamoth may be frozen hop back in and out you too will be frozen.

Bug Title: Building While Done
Details: I was constructing the Cyclops my first ever time playing the game and had just constructed it via the vehicle assembly unit. Then however, while I was driving, I heard some strange camera clicking noises and realized after I got out that the little probes that were building it were still there and trying to โbuildโ the finished cyclops. I tried moving around but that just caused them to follow me. I then tried moving the vehicle assembly unit but that ALSO didnโt work. This was in creative mode by the way so I then constructed a Prawn suit and that made it stop. This isnโt a GIANT issue but the probes are annoying and I donโt know if this applies to survival or other vehicles so it might be worth it to look into it. This bug was on my PC so I also do not know about other platforms so like I said, might be nice to look into it.

Details: In that pink jelly mushroom cave biome (forgot it's full name) textures stopped rendering and there was a giant hole in the middle of the cave. It did not load for 1 minutes , I decided to save just incase, now it isn't rendering some graphics in other biomes too and the "saving game" icon is still there, both has been going on for more than 5 minutes. Also the "save game" button cannot be clicked since it's still trying to save.

Bug Title: The Reaper Wrestles Prawn Under the Terrain
Details: Somewhere in the bulb zone fairly close to the edge of the 'world', I was - while in a prawn - attacked by a reaper. I proceeded to drill and punch at it until it let me go, but when it did, I found myself in pitch black nothing and rapidly descending - so almost guaranteed to be under the terrain. I stopped at roughly 1106m depth or so, and tried to use console warp commands (biome safe, warpforward 2000, warpme - in that order) and they didn't appear to work (presumably doesn't play nice with being in a prawn? That or the 'underworld' area I was in affected it.). Then I got out of the prawn, did warpme again, and succeeded in warping to my seabase (Shallows at the one lava geyser there). ...Except, I was frozen in place and could only look up and down, and while I was assumedly outside of my prawn suit, it still had the prawn stat indicators on the HUD.
Steps to Reproduce: ...Get attacked by a Reaper in a Prawn (maybe seamoth too?) while basically riiiight next to the seafloor. I assume it sorta just accidentally forgot collisions existed while mauling the prawn.

Whenever I drop stuff, most of the time it will just faze through the ground. and It happens sometimes to me. I started being more careful with unloaded parts of the map so I don't get stuck in the inside of the terrain. I have had to reload save at least 7 times. And sometimes I can just go in and out of the ground by myself. You can do this by going into unloaded tiles of the map and waiting. you will probably spawn under the map.This is on Xbox One. Details: I was using the prawn grappling arm on low hills in the mushroom forest near the bulb zone, and at one point I apparently had too much velocity or hit a collision deadzone or something, and. Underworld again. I seem to clip under the terrain way more than is normal >.>
Steps to Reproduce: Sadly i have no reference image, but. Just, do what i did. Grapple fast into a slightly raised hill, like, kneehigh on the prawn. Fly right at that thing, see if you fly through. No idea if it's actually reliable or just another fluke of collision code or terrain loading or sommat.

Details: i had 9 Nuclear reactors and around 6 thermal generators connected to my base, and each thermal generator had 72 degrees heat on it, each reactor had full rods and not one of them was producing power (all of off them said 0/whatever the amount is), all lights were off, but yet the fabricator worked. I built a separate base closer to the surface and connected it to solar panels and it worked fine, lights were on etc
Steps to Reproduce: all i did was start the game, build a base on top of the floating island in the middle a chasm, that is still connected to the ground by a small amount of rock

Details: Even if I have all of the correct materials to make either the cyclops, or the prawn suit, it will not let me create either. All it does when I click it is 'bounce' the icon and that's it. I have tried exiting the game fully and coming back to it; I have tried waiting around a week I think and tried again-it still didn't work; I tried removing the materials from my inventory before leaving the game, and then putting them back once I've come back to the game; and just doing other things other than trying to get it to work.

Details: When in a cyclops, one can see the text to say "Enable Sonar" and others while not actually piloting it. You can't enable them but you can view the option to.
Steps to reproduce: Step 1: Get yourself a cyclops (via commands or any ways necessary, I did this using a crafted one.) Step 2: Pilot the sub, and stop. Step 3: While not piloting, hover your mouse over where the icon would be, you should see that the prompt appears below your cursor without actually being able to use it.

Details: I was gliding through the Aurora, and the fiery ceiling was there. I burst up from there and completely clip through it, giving me all access to the outside of it, resulting in my death from a Reaper (and pants change).

Details: I was in the mushroom forest, heading out, when i saw an ampeel disappear inside the ground. I went closer, and sure enough, part of its tail was sticking out of the ground.
Steps to Reproduce: Get in your Seamoth and follow an ampeel, wait until it gets near the edge of the mushroom forest, get some chips from your vending machine cause you are addicted to them, and wait some more until you see them get to the terrain near the edge of the biome, where they will phase through the sand.

Bug Title: Main Menu uses incorrect GFX settings
Details: See title. The main menu uses the wrong graphics settings when the game is first launched causing performance issues on lower-end systems. (On my system, this makes the main menu run between 15-25 FPS, making it somewhat uncomfortable to use)

Title: Frozen Reaper/Camera Shy
Details: The reaper froze when I added the HUD chip to my player while tracking it. The reaper stayed in this position until I approached it (and nearly got eaten) now the reaper is off some place else but the tracker is still in the same spot.
Steps to reproduce: Still trying to reproduce it exactly, I've had this issue before where the scanner room keeps a location while the item being tracked/located has either been collected or moved in some way. I am not sure how to refreeze the reaper however.

Details:
Under some certain circumstances, the wreck of a Cyclops behaves as if it's still a complete vessel. Complete with depth warnings, hatch sounds, and smoke clouds throughout the remains.
Steps to reproduce:
This is how I got mine in that state
- sink unmodified Cyclops by letting it get attacked by the Ghost Leviathan in the Northern Blood Kelp. Make sure you stay alive when it explodes
- Once the wreck settles on the sea floor (> 500m), drop a beacon as close as possible. Save and reload
- Swim away (I returned to my base in the Safe Shallows), and return some time later
- When close to the wreck you should hear the below depth warning, swimming through you should see smoke clouds, and swimming close to the entry hatch (where it would open on a non-destroyed vessel) you should hear the sound of the hatch opening

There should be consistency when transferring items out of your inventory (left) to somewhere else. Eg a locker, the equipment you're wearing, battery chargers. All this should all be rmb. At the moment it's a lottery as to which button you use, and it's not amusing when you lose say your re-breather swapping to lead protection into the depths below. It seems different design teams had different ideas on each action they implemented.
but i don't care which button you use, providing it's consistent and not a guessing game. You don't have the time to read which is what, when you're in one hell of a hurry to get out of there.

Title: SuperSpeed P.R.A.W.N Suit and walking in water (not touching anything)
Details: I was moving around with my Prawn suit with grappling hook then suddenly i started walking in the middle of the ocean, with the ground around 50M below me, Grappling was the only way to move down/up (thruster may have moved me but i can't remember). The main thing about this glitch was that if you grappled to something then pressed a movment key you would go SUPER FAST, from 0 speed to 200m/s in around 3 seconds (movment was easily controlable), as long as your hook was out you could move very fast.
Steps: Im not sure how to reproduce this but I think its leaving the ground in a strange way on a slope and tricking the game into thinking you are still on the ground when you pull the hook when flinging yourself around (normal hook, not glitched hook)

Details: After I returned from an expedition to the mushroom caves, this mushroom was inside my lifepod. When I reloaded the save several hours later, it was on top of my pod and my pod was underwater. When I went exploring and returned, it was back inside and the pod was on the surface again.
Steps to reproduce: I have no idea, but it happened after I went to the caves the first time.

Bug Title: Seamoth in sand.
Details: I went to the sunbeam event, parked my seamoth close to the beach, the event happened (sunbeam got shut down) i explored the Quarantine Enforcement Platform, went into the portal on the island, explored the other island, went back through the portal, went down to the beach and it's suddenly stuck in the sand. When i entered it launched me about 10M in the air? almost destroying it.

Bug Title: Lifepod, are you broken or not?
Details: If the lifepod is reloaded (Game is exited then opened again) the lifepod will display the wrong lighting and textures. Instead of the broken, dark and smokey version, it acts as if it's okay. I reported this one ages ago but nobody ever really saw it.

Details: When you climb up a Moonpool ladder/enter a hatch on a land seabase, it plays a water sound as if you are entering a waterbased seabase. This does not affect gameplay, but is a bit annoying and strange.
Reproduction: Build a seabase on land [floating island, QEP island] and enter through the Moonpool ladder/hatch.

Title: Exiting Prawn in Transport
Details: If you exit the Prawn suit while in teleport, you begin to fall. you can fall through and loop the map, landing on whatever first surface is able to load at the speed you are falling. You will land without water spawned in, walking in the surface and with no oxygen timer. the fish will be flying. EVEN A SAVE AND RELOAD WILL NOT RELOAD WATER. Entering and exiting a seamoth, does not reload the water, you will simply fall and take damage. You can enter a moonpool in this state in a seamoth/prawn without changing the result. Entering and exiting the alien containment in the base, does not reload the water outside.
Reproduction: Pick any old teleporter you can get to in a prawn, enter, wait for teleport to start, hit [E]. Prawn arrives at destination player falls like a brick through the world.
Expected behavior: Arrive at destination NOT in your prawn OR not be able to [E] while in transport.
Workarounds: Kill self (debug command), get killed by terrain/predator, go through a teleporter again. Go a LONG distance inside a seamoth or other vehicle, at some point it reloads.

Bug Title: Sunbeam not visible during landing event
Details: Sunbeam doesn't render during a "first instance" play of the landing event.
Steps to Reproduce: Run the game, trigger the landing event timer, save on the beach on Mountain Island next to the QEP (I saved at ~2 mins), wait for the event to start. The Sunbeam doesn't render, only the thruster glow. Reload the save you just made, and the Sunbeam is successfully rendered. It seems like the game doesn't want to render the ship the first time it plays the event after being started, for whatever reason. Reloading the save, however, allows the event to play out without any problems.

Title: Exiting Seamoth in Transport
Details: If you exit the Seamoth suit while in teleport, and there is only one you can use and land in water, you simply arrive at destingation outside of Seamoth, with the option to reenter WHILE in transport if you look carefiully. However, the Seamoth stays in the mode it is in for transport and cannot move. it makes the noises but goes nowhere.
Reproduction: From seamoth go to the teleporter (once active) nearest the Sunbeam Landing Event beach.
Workarounds: Come back some time later, after map reloads it is no longer glitched.

Title: Lifepod? More like Launchpod
Details: If you swim against the Lifepod's inflated parts, get partly inside the model, then turn around swimming backwards, The lifepod sort of...spins violently, usually doing damage or flinging you into space.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Swim against lifepod, head at sealevel
- Swim left and right towards the ladder, until you move more into the liferaft, your camera should about be touching it by now
- While continuing to swim against it, turn around and walk backwards into the lifepod. Looking down seems to help
- Presto! Either you get violently hit into the air, or take damage and spin the liferaft.

Details: When a corridor with the top of a vertical connector connected was flooding, the water would stay up the top instead of going down the connector. This is just a lorebreaking bug and is a bit wierd. Yes, the connector had ladders

Details: I have horrible lag when at base looking at certain directions. I have my base built next to my lifepod at the starting location in safe shallows. Details: When falling with a prawn suit, it often clips through the map. This had lead to me having to reload alot. It's majorly annoying, as I sometimes forget to save.

Title: Scanner Room Scanning Functionality
Details: The scanner room is not able to scan objects past the current loaded/rendered distance, so if you got range upgrades and you stay in your base the scanner will not find many objects since a lot of the stuff it should find is not actually loaded by the game. If you go out and move around those resources will get loaded and then the scanner can pick them up. There also seems to be some correlation between when blips are added to your hud and when you pick up resources. More blips seem to spawn instantly after you interact with different objects in the environment.

Bug Title: Cliping gone wrong
Details: While I was reading something in my PDA I suddenly jumped out of the Cyclops and was standing on it . I started walking a bit and I noticed that the oxygen timer remained 225 the whole time. While walking on it the cyclops propulsed me 30 meters from it, but the bug resolved itself.
Steps to Reproduce: Not sure how, but try staying in the Cyclops and then open the PDA for awhile

Bug Title: Flying Launchpad
Details: I got on he elevator of the Neptune to go to the top. Partway through the trip up, I fell through the bottom of the elevator. This happened multiple times, and occasionally moved the launchpad. Once it even flung the launchpad approximately 300 meters (horizontally).
Steps to Reproduce: Attempt to board the elevator on the Neptune Escape Rocket.

Bug Title: Harvesting table coral causes game to crash (experimental mode)
Details: When using a knife to harvest table coral for the first time, the knife blurs slightly, the game pauses for a few seconds, and then the entire game completely closes out to desktop. It does NOT do this with creeper vines or coral tubes.

- Start a new game
- Make a knife
- Attempt to harvest some table coral.

**Bug Title:**Unfinished Holes
Details: Pre-Prawn Update, a hole was used to get into the Aurora's Drive Core. The hole, while covered, still has gaps and shows terrain.
Steps to Reproduce: Head to this hole on the Aurora and take a look at the inside.

**Bug Title:**Walls First, Fabricators Second
Details: When built in a base, a Fabricator's back is clipped into the model, making the back not appear.
Steps to Reproduce: Build a Fabricator in a base and compare it to the Lifepod Fabricator.

Title: omg alterra built hightech floating parts
Details: When building a wall mounted thingy in a Cyclops, the parts aren't attached to the wall, they are floating a bit. This can be anything
Reproduction: Build a wall thing in a Cyclops, then look at it from the side.

Category of bug: lack of spawning
Title: nothing spawns such as creatures fragments and outcrops.
Details: nothing will spawn unless it in the safe shallows, are no fragments creatures or resources, where they are meant to be such as at the grand reef wreck where there are meant to be two warpers.
Steps to reproduce: play the game in 3 hour intervals then in the 7th hour decide to go to the grand reef wreck closest to the safe shallows volcano hole. CS#60072
