I'm super late, but like everyone else said, no. Multiplayer will not be a thing. Even though a lot of people want it (I did too) it won't be a thing because it defeats the purpose of being stranded alone, and it's not easy to implement into the game. So most unfortunately, multiplayer will not happen.

Thunder wanted me to probe FANDOM staff about the videos. This was their response:
First off thank you for the feedback. When another member of the Subnautica community reached out previously we did respond and take action by updating the videos that were addressed by your community. In regard to the videos posted and all featured videos, they are a global feature that will be added to all wikis over time. There are many reasons for this, but the main one being that they are actually a greater benefit to the community by having them, over the past year it has lowered page load times by roughly 40% and decreased the total amount of ads on all wikis by around 30%. Now if the community or yourself would like to increase your involvement in the videos that are placed on the wiki, we always welcome your expertise and passion. This can be done by submitting scripts to be created into videos, and even videos themselves if they are sent to us for review. These can both be done via the Community Script form which I'll attach to this message for you and the community.
This a great way for people to show their passion and help grow your wiki. In order for us to be able to use any content your community provides they must follow the proper steps. 1)We are unable to accept fully created videos through the site though so if members want to do that you can upload links to the videos/images on a google doc and we can take a look. 2)Keep in mind you will still need to fill out the community script form for these media pieces in order for us to consider/use them.
