The first module that increases depth to 1300 would require mostly LR resources and the second one that increases it to 1700 would require ILZ stuff like Kyanite.

With a base depth of 900, you're not going to use the one that increases it to 1300 for very long at all.
As soon as you get that you have immediate access to the resources to make the 1900m one, and there's nowhere else to explore.

The Precursor Race are an ancient, and seemingly extinct alien race that came to Planet 4546B around one thousand years ago.
Little is known about the Precursor's society, the few details given show that they were space-faring; travelling from planet to planet, picking up technology from other civilisations and incorporating it into their own, as well as studying less developed species, shown by the ancient Mongolian sword kept in the Primary Containment Facility. Although they seem to have made themselves obscure for the most part, it is suggested by the PDA, upon examination of their architecture, that they may have influenced some aspects of ancient societies.
The anatomy and abilities of an individual Precursor are also highly mysterious. Precursors were able to interface with their technology using a form of telepathy, though it is suggested that this may have synthetic, rather than innate. It can also be inferred from the scale of the bases built on the planet, that Precursors were a lot larger than humans and lived a lot longer; as shown by the surgical tables in the Disease Research Facility, by which it can be estimated that the Precursors were around 8 to 9 feet tall, and the mention of a 98 year old Precursor being considered young.
Data picked up shows that the precursors bodies were highly augmented with technology; it is mentioned that their minds can be stored in specially constructed data hubs, and that they are able to download information to their brain instead of learning.
At the peak of their society their numbers were massive, though this was decimated when an error in their quarantine systems led to the Carar Bacterium, which had been picked up during the inspection of an unknown planet, began to infect the population. 143 billion individuals died to the Carar Bacterium as the Precursors searched everywhere for a cure. The Precursor Race are an ancient, and seemingly extinct alien race that came to Planet 4546B around one thousand years ago.

It can also be inferred from the scale of the bases built on the planet, that Precursors were a lot larger than humans and lived a lot longer; as shown by the surgical tables in the Disease Research Facility, by which it can be estimated that the Precursors were around 8 to 9 feet tall and the mention of a 98 year old Precursor being considered young.

I think they're used quite a bit in the general crafting and tech tree.

I'm asking because enums are impossible to edit at runtime, which means that any time a user wants to use a new mod they would need to run something that patches the dll, which is annoying. I'm trying to find a work around

I've been using this cool library called Harmony which lets me patch functions at runtime and insert code before or after they run and edit return types and stuff, which is definitely useful
I'm not really itching to see any official modding api, I'm just eager to see the game itself complete ๐
