1- the game is shallower, the world itself feels less fun to explore
2- the game much more linear than subnautica 1 and has a heavy focus on story but it’s ver easy to sequence break and do things out of order
3- the sea truck is good but having that as practically the only mode of transportation kind of makes it shadowed by the cyclops

by what i've seen in dev vlogs etc.. i can say the light production is ABSOLUTELY INSANE and the new technology of how you build bases its likable by some people, some may not like it, but if they're adding even parts like the multi function room, it would be a banger of a game
