very heavily depends on your experience and how stingy your employer is, at least in freelance

based on my previous experiences, meh. like itll be 5 hours of taking pictures and 2 of setting up shots and then there is editing, which is probably the longest but depends on what you know, but overall if i was to make it into an hourly rate, it can be anywhere from 15/h to 50/h

now im considered an amateur photographer when ive done jobs so if you were more established person you could easily make more

Honestly, not really, at least in food photography. You arent just taking pics of food. You have a full set of tricks. Sauces on burgers, for example, are injected with a syringe to look perfect. You cut letuce in a certain way, you change the shape of foods to make them look more full, and backgrounds and editing are very interesting to learn

Real lighting works better, but editing is important for some shots, its not like you can put a spotlight on a grill. This is with vs without editing on a cupcake pic i did a bit ago, when i was in a small kitchen with no room for artificial lights. I use an app called lightroom for most of my photo editing. In the second photo i changed the lighting, and helped the reds show more like real life

The Cyclops Magnet Upgrade:

Once installed, there will be a hole under the center of the Cyclops. Inside will be a monitor, with 2 buttons and 4 switches, the buttons indicate if you want the magnet to be off or on, and the switches indicate how strong you want the magnet to be. There is 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% strength, the 25% strength is used to lift small rocks, fragments and metal salvages, the 50% strength is used to lift big rocks and bigger fragments like the Cyclops Engine Fragments, the 75% strength is used for emptying small wrecks, lifting leviathans like the Reaper Leviathan and Juvenile Ghost Leviathan, and the 100% strength is used for lifting big leviathans like The Sea Dragon, Reefback Leviathans, etc. and emptying big wrecks. Do know that the more the strength, the more power usage from your Cyclops, esecially 100%, it can use more than half of your Cyclops' power. One of the biggest and best upgrades for the 50-foot sub.

It does sometimes amaze me how much can be done with the default brush. I have begun using a variant of it for almost everything, but it is slightly modified

Still gotta add the divers and I wanted to try to fit in a creature for this biome resting on one of the roots getting inspected by the diver

The idea is this is a safe area because the gaps in the vines are big enough for the player to swim around pretty easily but large predators wouldn’t fit

When you scan the roots the PDA is gonna tell you they aren’t actually roots, rather large mycelium breaching the surface from some deep underground location well beyond the scanner’s reach.

The mycelium is incorporating algae species into it, giving it that green colour, and allowing it to take energy as the algae converts energy from the sun via kleptoplasty

Ooh, this seems like the perfect biome for some kind of carnivorous plant. Like a venus fly trap. Small ones that munch on peepers and such... but occasionally a much larger one.

I could see a fun game mechanic being the creature you drew being the sort to gnaw on deposits of certain materials, sorta like stalkers, but with limestone. (Possibly related to one another evolutionally.) Then there'd be a reason for the larger flytraps to lure creatures and/or divers in with fake deposits.

There’s actually a completely separate biome that utilizes this mechanic inspired by the real life anemone, as per my notes:

“Update, I just learnt that the venus flytrap sea anemone exists and I wonder if there should be a biome based off of all kinds of carnivorous plants. Pros: it would be neat and terrifying. Cons: possibly too much like the Shadow Rivulet Biome.”

The Daylight Roots is The Elysian Zone’s ‘Safe Shallows’, so it would probably be a little mean to the player to make the starting area have The Horrors™️ right off the bat

Then again Subnautica gave us the crashfish in Safe Shallows and it’s scared me more than anything else in the entire game the first time I played before I learnt it’s unable to make turns and if you swim at it and past it, it can’t turn around fast enough to blow you up

The serpent leviathan is fast but because of its small mouth it often can face difficulty catching larger prey that where the light comes in similar to angler fish the serpent leviathan would lie in wait for a unsuspecting creature to grabs its lure mistaking it for food then it would attack
