Decided to make some lore for the Echo :> Enjoy

Description: The Echo is a leviathan class lifeform that lives in the deepest part of 4546b. It's closest living relative is the Bone Shark, but is also found to be related to the Gargantuan Leviathan. It lives in the deep, open waters of the planet and never passes above the depth of 1900 meters.

Build: The Echo has a very distinct, eel like build to it's body making it easy to navigate quickly and quietly through the water, and measuring at 80 meters long and about 5 meters wide, it reaches near impossible speeds that could be found at somewhere around 60 Miles Per Hour.

Hunting Technique: The Echo leviathan, as given away by the name hunts using echolocation. The most iconic part of the creature is the ball like appendage that hovers over it's head. This is what the Echo uses to hunt it's prey by opening and clamping the ball shut creating a very distinct and loud clicking sound. It then opens again like a sonar to receive where things are in the water and hunt them down. This process will repeat around every 5-7 seconds.

Eyesight: Although it hunts using echolocation, the Echo is not entirely blind, and even has some of the best eyes in the ocean. It's eyes have a distinct deep glow to them, which is how it sees in the deep parts of the void.

Jaw: The information on this part of the Echo is limited as the hunting process is so quick that all personal studying it cannot get any useful info before it disappears into the darkness, but we can theorize that the pointed and long bottom jaw, is use to immobilize the target before killing them.

Official Classification: Extremely Dangerous - Do NOT approach in any circumstances unless given direct instruction to do so from project leaders.

Started working on this song as I bought a new sound pack recently with underwater like sounds. I picked the vocals because it has "I feel like I'm drowning in it" and there's also some Subnautica samples and Minecraft lol. If Subnautica 2 will have jukeboxes I'll definitely put it in.

Far into the future, on an Earth so foreign to the one you see now, new and ntelligent creatures have arisen.

A long time prior to where the story of the New Earth starts, the sun has exploded, rendering all life that was once common on the planet, extinct. About two million years after that incident, the shards that once made up your earth found their way into a separate galaxy so much like the milky way that its only difference was that it housed a couple of extra planets, and on those planets, one space-faring species thrived. The species were known as Locusviri, and they survived in even the harshest lands of the neo-galaxy. After recognizing what the planet shards were, the Locusviri decided to use them and remake the earth, integrating the planet into their galaxy and using it as storage to house species and resources that they wanted to conserve whilst urbanizing whatever they could on the planets they lived on primarily. The Locusviri placed not only those species, but also their own genetically engineered species that they called Harmonics on the new earth. The Harmonics kept track of the species found on the new earth, and made sure no intelligent life emerged. However, soon, the Locusviri moved on to a further galaxy, one richer in minerals and life. Harmonics lived in peaceful villages after the Locusviri left, trading opals for resources and artworks. However, they failed to realize that their ignorance of their purpose on the planet in favor of building a human-inspired society would lead to the downfall of their kind. That is, unless you can prevent it.

Your job in Desolate is to study the life of the New Earth, your sole existence preventing the rise of animals and fall of harmonics. You tame and raise creatures in order to travel throughout the New Earth, defeating bosses, not through combat, but through persuasion in an open-world story game. In Desolate, players have the ability to collect and trade plants, creatures, items, clothing, and potions in the base realm with other characters and daily merchants.

They are 3-5 meters in lenght and some 1-2.5meters high.

And they are carnivores and predators.
